Made a reservation early today for Valentines Day. The person taking the reservation said nothing about a special menú. After driving half an hour to the restaurant, the host informed us it was a special 5 course menú for Valentines Day. Well, one of us is vegetarían and there were no vegetarían options on the menú. I asked if something could be prepared for us and was told no. This was their mistake for not informing us and still they would not accommodate us. I'll be looking for a new sushi spot. read more

The menu is small and the venue is small too. Service is very friendly and attentive. The sushi was great! Presentation was great too. They make a unique roll of the month. A lot of their rolls had shrimp tempura which is odd but there is a decent amount of variety. Just in case anyone gets lost, you have to cross the covered bridge and drive up the hill to find their parking lot. read more

WOW WOW WOW is all I can say! This place is phenomenal!!!!!!!! My roll was the special, the pink flamingo it was called! It was absolutely orgasmic. The staff/owner are the nicest people. We had a table of like 13, it's our book club and they accommodated us with such enthusiasm, it was just a wonderful experience! The scenery outside is gorgeous and I love the covered bridge you drive through to get there! If I could give it 10 stars I would! read more

Not a fan of this place and I had higher hopes. Food was okay. We got the seaweed salad and it was over cooked and dry. They write vegan on the menu for the vegan dragon sushi roll but they actually cook the sweet potato in the same oil as their seafood and meats. That's very inconsiderate!!! The best thing I ate was the sushi roll I customized. The watermelon martini tasted like a jolly rancher which I didn't mind and the cosmo was pretty good. The service was awkward and all over the place. Not a fan at all. From the beginning, things felt off and kind of frazzled. It did not get better. The ambiance was nice. Randomly searched for a sushi spot and found Koi. Seemed nice so my wife, daughter, and I went and checked it out. It's in the beautiful part of Skippack and nestled up a small hill surrounded by trees. This made for a very nice and cute place, great for date night or a place to just relax. Service was nice and felt more like a 4 star dining experience while still managing to feel a bit casual. The outdoor seating is definitely the way to go. Finally, the food. All I can say is try everything. We could only eat soo much but wish we could try more. Everything gets a 10/10. We will be making a serious effort to come back again read more

One of the best sushi places around! The sushi chef will make the most creative food art with the wasabi! The wait staff is always friendly! We were walking around Skippack on a sunny and unusually warm Sunday in February trying to decide where to grab lunch. We are foodies and most of the places we have eaten in Skipppack are good but none are memorable or worth a 25 minute car ride just for the restaurant....until now. Koi Sushi Bar was excellent. We tried a variety of things including the sushi salmon tacos, a specialty sushi roll, Asian meatballs, Kani salad, and spicy Korean Ramen. Everything we tried was delicious and we overhead a party of 3 sitting next to us raving about their food as well. Sushi, Asian tapas, and creativity make this place a true destination. The decor isn't going to win any prizes but the exterior is cool and the setting on a small hill is very nice. It's worth the trip to Skippack as a destination restaurant. read more

Had an enjoyable experience at Koi for our first visit. Our waiter was attentive and considerate. The food was toothsome but the portion size of the entrees was underwhelming. The decor was clean and appropriate for the genre of eatery. My only complaint, when in a finer dining establishment, I DO NOT want to hear Missy Elliot and Michael Jackson when I'm dining in a JAPANESE restaurant!!
