Love the conveyor belt style system with fresh ingredients swifting by as you eat so you can pick and chose. All you can eat personal hotpot & BBQ for under $40 per person is definitely a great deal. There are seven soup bases to choose from for the hot pot, and for just $3 more you can do both BBQ and hot pot. The food quality was better than expected, especially the seafood selection: salmon, shrimp, crayfish, crab, mussels and more... The blue mussels were probably the freshest I've had at any buffet. They also have a conveyor belt, though it's not very useful since it isn't refrigerated, so it mostly carries non perishable items like noodles and vegetables. Dessert is the weakest part of the buffet, but I do recommend the chocolate tiramisu. They also have a koi fish pond, kids would love that! read more

What a fun experience. BYOB and $33.99 for all you can eat BBQ and Soup. The Waitress explained the entire concept and how they serve you, so there was no confusion when going up to the buffet to get our ingredients for our broth. They have a conveyor belt of fresh ingredients to add to your soup base that come to every table. The restaurant feels very open and inviting. The staff is all so friendly and helpful to new diners. It is intimidating if you're not one for large open restaurants, but everyone is there for their own experience and it was awesome to try this spot. It is a little pricey but it's worth the price for a night out with your friends, especially if you haven't tried anything like this. read more

The non-marinated proteins are very high quality for an AYCE, including strip steak, salmon, abalone, shrimp, blue crab, and brisket. I would skip the marinated short ribs and bugolgi as the marinade is too intense and the bugolgi not shaved but rather thick-sliced. The leafy greens are also self-service so we were able to get ample watercress. While they don't have snow crab, the quality of the meats and seafood here is much fresher than another venue located down the street in the Montgomery Mall. They also have a small dessert bar with ice cream cups, small cake squares, cream puffs, and a white fungus sweet soup (although nothing is made in-house and bought frozen). Their front is so nicely decorated and fun to look at. It's nearing Halloween so they had some holiday themed decor up. There's also a lot of seating so I doubt you'll ever have to wait. Service was good, server asked if it was our first time and gave us a run down of the place. Veggies come out on the conveyor belt and the rest is self-serve. Server was pretty attentive and was quick to clear our empty plates and refill my tea. Free refills on sweat tea! In terms of food, there's plenty of options. Meats, seafood, sides. Even fried foods. I think because the meats are frozen, they're so brittle that it breaks when we go to grab it. Of course it's user error though and I agree the meats should be frozen, it's just a downside of it being self serve. There's a lot of broken pieces so the meats tended to be small chunks. Although there were plenty of options, there were some items I was hoping for that were not available. Some of the vegetables that were listed as options were not seen during my visit. This place was a fun vibe! Came here for a girls dinner and the service was top notch-- so quick that they would take the CLEAN plates off the table quicker than expected haha. We got the Korean BBQ and hot pot dinner (apparently you can't just get Korean Bbq, but you can only get hot pot if you wanted). I thought the beef short ribs were great, they had a nice bulgogi flavor and so did the other beef bits. The pork belly was a little too fatty for me, but the hot pot items were good too. For hot pot, I got the original broth because I hadn't done hot pot before and then I ended up adding chili paste and a mixture of sauces and seasonings. They had these scallion pancakes that were really tasty, we were waiting for them to refill those when the tray got empty. I checked out the bathroom when there-- 2 stalls in the women's and it had cool blue lighting. Notably, there was a sign to not stand on top of the toilets.. as if that's been a problem in the past haha. There was a floor drying fan in there too to prevent water from just gathering on the floor. I looked at the desert options, but chose not to get any-- I was hoping they'd have green tea ice cream, but the flavors were strawberry, Orange sherbet and chocolate. Volcano Hot Pot has a pretty amazing selection of hot pot options. You can also upgrade your experience for a few dollars more to include unlimited BBQ options as well. Since we only opted for the hot pot, I can also say the BBQ upgrade looked well worth it if you want a larger variety. On arrival, you'll be seated and order your base. From there, it is self serve on a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetable options. All you need to do is grab a plate and load up. They also have a great sauce serving station, again self-serve, to accompany you hot pot dipping. I found the quality to be on par with most all-you-can-eat experiences. We never felt rushed nor did we feel like we had limited options. We both filled up yet still made room for the dessert which was included. While you won't interact with servers too much, they are friendly and stop to help you on any request. At one point they had a conveyor around the tables that would bring veggies for hot pot, however, it was not around on my last trip. Not sure where to start - this is a very large place with a variety of seating. When you walk in there's a koi pond and nice decor. First thing - it's an AYCE: with an option for just hot pot or hot pot AND KBB. We chose both, and got to work. One cool amenity that i have never seen or had at these places is the conveyor belt that snakes along the seating with the sides and vegetables. So - rather than having to order more (XYZ) it's either coming around on conveyor or up at the bars where you choose exactly what you want to cook/boil/grill. There are multiple areas for the hot pot meat rolls, seafood, noodles, KBB meat, sauce bar, desserts etc. also a random jar of gummy bears. I will say the variety of the items on the bar is cool (mussels, prawns, etc etc.) but it really lacked in just the very basic needs of the average consumer or customer. found this place by accident on Google maps I thought that the reviews were good on yelp and Google so we wanted to give it a try. when we arrived, there was a queue of 30 minutes around 10 parties ahead of us. They were plenty of empty tables but not enough servers. we took this as a good sign seeing that it was really busy so it must've been really popular. The staff was extremely nice so we went ahead and waited the 30 minutes but when it was our time we went up to go grab the food. we were disappointed. at first glance one could tell that a lot of the food were either brown or had been sitting there for a long while, seeing that the spam had changed color also with the quail eggs. there's also other option of getting the food from the conveyor belt in the center of dividers but unfortunately for us we were seated away from the conveyor belt, so we didn't really have access.neither the less the food on the conveyor belt but they were barely restocked, same with the self serve food. after circling around seeing what they offered, we took it as a sign that this place wasn't for us and due to like the freshness, we told management that we will be leaving since we barely picked up anything and we haven't even start dining yet. management told us that everything was fresh, even though we saw that some of the food were brown read more

This is a very fun hot pot place. The indoor has a pretty hip vibe and I love the "Happy Birthday" track that plays when it's somebody's birthday at a table. Volcano Hot Pot is an "all you can eat" buffet style that also includes BBQ for a few extra dollars on your table. I definitely recommend adding the BBQ because the food is so good. For both hot pot and BBQ, they have the raw ingredients in the buffet area. So you control how much stuff you are cooking at once. In addition to that, there are a few other miscellaneous ingredients circling around in the conveyor belt but nothing that really caught my eye (we're talking some string beans, cabbage, ramen). The only suggestion I might have for the place is to have the wait staff explain how to adjust the temperatures for the grill and hot pot machines. At first we had a few things overcooking because the setting was set too high. I also couldn't find the controls for the hotpot to turn it down a notch (it's located right underneath the tabletop). I recommend lowering the temperature somewhat for both the grill and hotpot. That's because you're going to have quite a lot to manage with placing ingredients in, flipping them on the grill, and fishing out stuff from the pots. Cooking slower tastes better and gives you more time to relax and eat. So onto the food. It's a very good selection of ingredients and broths. They have a good variety of staples like fishballs, fish, tofu, veggies, noodles, and proteins. Also have a few other goodies like dumplings, spam, and imitation crab sticks! My personal favorites were the fish balls stuffed with pork, quail eggs, and the marinated beef for BBQ. Especially the marinated beef, this thing has so much flavor and it's so tender as long as you take care not to overcook it.This place even has a good selection of dessert. My friend and I were intrigued by this place last time we were in the area, and decided to give it a shot. As soon as you enter, you get this hip, fun vibe with the neon lights and pop music. You walk across a bridge over a koi pond with trees and falling water to get into the restaurant. We were promptly seated and warmly welcomed by our waiter, Tre. As it was our first time, he happily and thoroughly explained the whole process. Once we selected our soup bases, he sent us on our way to the all-you-can-eat raw buffet to grab our proteins, noodles, etc. There is also a sauce and garnish bar and desserts for afterwards. By the time we got back to our table, just a couple minutes later, the broths were already waiting for us at the table to cook our fixings in. (If you're not familiar with Hot Pot, think entrées at Melting Pot, but Asian.) The conveyor belt that runs throughout the restaurant had many types of veggies and dry ramen noodles (I opted for the fresh rice noodles and sweet potato noodles). I tried as many of the different seafoods and proteins available, including scallops, shrimp, fish, a variety of fish cakes, crab, clams, the meats, beef aorta, tripe, and quail egg -- just to name a few. Note: There is also a grill on the table, and meat options designated specifically for the BBQ, which is extra. We opted to just do the hot pot this time. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! I was very impressed, and left satisfied without feeling too stuffed. Tre was very friendly and attentive, checking on us periodically and keeping our water glasses filled. You can choose so many different things from the buffet to add to your boiling soup and many soups to pick based on the level of spice you want. It is located inside a shopping plaza and while the exterior looks boring, once you step in, you're staring at a HUGE hot pot pot and a small bridge with lots of Koi fishes in the pond. There are 6 different soups to choose from. Hubs and I got the original , spicy and herbal soup for party of 4. The spicy broth has the nice kick although it's very oily. The original and herbal tastes regular. I really like how we get to pick how much meat we want and bring it to the table instead of ordering and eating so much. The veggies come on the conveyor belt. There's corn, mushroom, spinach, watercress, lotus root, squash. They also have a small hot bar with mozzarella sticks, scallion pancake, chicken wings, and fries. The desert/ fruit bar had watermelon, jelly, pineapple, orange, canned rambutan, canned lychee and occasionally soup. The ice cream are individually package with mango sorbet, chocolate , vanilla and strawberry For meats and seafood, they had plenty of options. This use to be the old Jim's buffet so I was excited to see a new owner come in and revamp the space to a hot pot/Korean BBQ. Now I can stay local and skip the drive to Philly and Bensalem. They gutted the interior and really hooked it up, minus the koi ponds (original to Jim's). Stopped in on Memorial Day with gf's and had the hot pot with the Korean bbq combo. I had the Tom yum soup base cuz gimme all the spicy food. I added udon noodles, seafood and brisket to my base with the addition of chili oil to kick up the heat. It was decent but I'll def get the spicy soup base next time since my friend said the heat level was perfect and spicy enough on its own. Oh and that Korean bbq hit hard. I had never been to a Hot Pot restaurant but after seeing pictures and videos on line we decided to give Volcano Hot Pot a try. It was more fun than we expected, but not as great as we were hoping. For those of you unfamiliar Hot Pot is when they bring you a pot of broth out to your table and place it in the heater and you add your own ingredients to make your own soup, they also do Korean BBQ as well where you grill your own meat at the table. I was impressed by the amount of selections they had to add to the hot pot, plenty of meat and seafood. My tip is avoid the beef balls, I don't know what i was expecting but they were not it. There is a conveyer system that brings around veggies and stuff like that for the Hot Pot. My biggest complaint was not enough stuff for the BBQ, there was only a few meats to make, I felt that for an add on charge there should have been more. That leads into my other problem is the cost, for 2 people it was over $70, unless toy are pounding away on the more expensive ingredients it might not be worth it. The inside looks like the stereotypical nice Asian restaurant, if you have been to a nice Chinese buffet with the pond inside you know what I am talking about. The service was fine, it's a buffet so there is not much going on but they were good with drink refills and clearing plates. Once you are seated, you will receive a menu which describes what and how you will order. Once we gave our drink orders, we could go up to the buffet section to pick your proteins, sauces and plates. We requested rice , scallion pancakes. The conveyor belt has other items which can be placed in your hot pot. The restaurant is very clean. They also have a coy fish pond. It's spectacular and whimsical not to mention extensively clean. Food: choice of several delicious hot pot bases. Beautifully diverse selection of meats available at the serve yourself bar in addition to a make your own dipping sauce, station the vegetables and other assorted starches come around on a conveyor belt. The grills are tiny and ours didn't work well. The meat was either very fatty and nearly inedible or almost entirely bone (beef ribs). Our server was nice, but was trying to rush us out at the end. If you're just coming for hotpot, it's fine, but I would skip the bbq. KPot in Franklin Mills is much better for both. read more

We arrived about 30 minutes late to our reservation and about an hour before they closed; yet, the overall staff we're very welcoming and hospitable. 1. I love this place: I really do! I have now been here three times and had fantastic food every time. I will no doubt return again soon, probably with even more family members since I happen to bring more people each time. I love that I can get a miso soup base and add whatever I want (and have plenty of time, max 2 hours is more than enough). There are the conveyor belts but also a buffet bar you can walk up to that has additional ingredients. The price is also in my opinion reasonable for the amount of quality of food you get. There is also a wide variety of things to try. I don't think I've tried everything after three visits! There is no place like this in the area. You may be wondering why I chose four stars and not five. I had hesitation about this, but I just couldn't bring myself to click the last star. I'm open minded to changing this in the future (because, again, I'll be back). Unfortunately my customer service experience at my last visit was very unsatisfactory. To be fair, it was a Saturday night, and the place was busy. I was there with a party of 4 and we waited and hour and 40 minutes for a table when we were told the wait would be a half hour. I know that things can change and it's just a ballpark estimate, but that's a huge difference. We were also not informed that it was going to take longer. From the moment 45 minutes went by, we checked in at the front about every 15 minutes or so and were told repeatedly each time that our table was getting cleaned off. One member of my party was so hungry from waiting that she walked over to Redner's to buy a snack while we were waiting! Another contribution to the missing star was that I had an allergic reaction to one of their sauces the first time I was there (peanut). I'd really appreciate it if they paid more attention to labeling things at the buffet table!
