This place was AMAAAZING!! Just tried it for the first time last night during the YeShi Night Market event in Chinatown. Hot Pot is so much fun. It's All You Can Eat and for 2 people, it's so much food. We were sat at our own long table kind of like a picnic table. In the center there's a hot bowl embedded into the table where the other pot that holds the broths are placed. We went for a light broth and a medium spicy broth. From there we went up to the refrigerated bar to get our vegetables and rice. Enoki mushrooms and tofu skins are my favorite. We also got the shrimp balls, fish balls, and lots of greens. Seaweed salad is so delicate and delicious. You can also pick out your noodles. They're fresh. The only dry noodles I saw were the cakes of ramen. You can pick out your raw protein from the menu and it is brought in generous portions to your table. We went extra on the selection to include Wagyu beef, prawns, abalone, and scallops. Wagyu beef is good but the prime rib beef was just fine. Also, the sauces are customized. You assemble your dipping bowl with whatever soy sauce, chili oil, red peppers, jalapeño peppers and more. I didn't know what the heck I put in mine but I was sweating and crying from the intense heat. I was not initially prepared for that. I should have brought my gym towel. It was fire!! Lovin' it all anyway. There's also a good variety of drinks you can choose from. I took a peach drink and coconut juice. I saw soy milk, assorted cold tea drinks, and water bottles. I can't wait to go back. New strategy for us is stick to basic menu. For an AYCE experience, the extras are so over the top you'll only have room for 1 serving of it. Portions are unlimited and generous. Definitely have a party of more than 2.
Came to Kungfu Hotpot with a friend since we were craving hot pot. Overall, this was a pretty solid spot with plenty of options to choose from. They have a good variety of soup bases, proteins, veggies, toppings, and other ingredients, so there's definitely something for everyone. They also offer free bottled beverages, which was a nice bonus. The service was pretty fast, and we didn't have to wait long whenever we needed something. My main complaint was that there were quite a few flies around our table that kept landing near or on our food, which was pretty annoying. Some of the veggies and toppings also didn't seem like the freshest. Aside from those issues, the food was pretty good and there was a nice variety to choose from. Overall, a solid hot pot place, but I do think they could improve on the cleanliness and freshness of some of the ingredients.
Not the biggest hot pot fan so that is my base for this review. It's upstairs - need to take an elevator. Smelled a little fish-market smell. And then went into restaurant upstairs which was pretty clean. Men's bathroom was clean. The service was good and attentive. I thought the meats they provided were fresh and tasted great. Got the lobster and large prawn and wagyu beef. All great. We chose the hot peppercorn soup base and a bland meat base. Good compliment. All the side items were good and seemed fresh at the buffet bar. All you can drink teas and soft drinks in the cooler. I thought the price was very reasonable for the quality. I believe it was about $41 per person. I'd give it a try.

I have gone here twice now, and realistically my favorite thing about it is the unlimited drinks. I don't know if that's a good reasons to come spend almost $60. The reality is that it's a really midrange hotpot place. On this experience particularly we got half spicy and half regular broth and it wasn't spicy. Our waiter never returned with our extra cuts of meat when we put them in the iPad, and while the ambience is very upbeat and the playlist was lit, i just don't see myself returning. The other thing is they give lobster and we never end up eating it and my friend has now gotten sick 2 times from eating the seafood from this place. I think if you stick to the meats and cook them for long enough, you're solid. Enjoy the experience, enjoy your friend, go with an open mind and an empty stomach. Don't let this be the place you become an adventure seeker.
I've had AYCE hot pot here several times, and just came again today with a friend - quality is pretty consistent it never disappoints, at $40pp. At this point, it's probably my go-to spot for hot pot in cinatown, would really rec! The price includes AYCE hot pot, including two special orders per person (wagyu, scallop, lobster, etc.), and my personal favorite, unlimited bottled/can drinks!! I always grab like 3 drinks whenever I come, can't miss out on the childhood favs like the coconut milk & jasmine tea. They have a pretty good selection of the typical hot pot meat and vegetable options, and everything was yummy. The service is pretty self-sufficient, you order the frozen meats on the ipad that they give you, and they bring you the food. Other than that, you can help yourself to the rest of the food and sauces, buffet style. The only limiting thing here is dessert. The hot pots here are also more communal, in that there's one large pot in the middle - great for larger groups! I never had to make a reservation in the past, and there was no wait today on a Saturday afternoon. This place is a bit tucked away, so you'd have to take the elevator to the 3rd floor to get to in.
One of the best hotpots in Philly. It's also all you can eat and BYO which are great. I believe if u come in groups of 6 or more, they bring you lobster which was the case for dinner this time. The price was reasonable even the holiday rate. Free drinks too. The customer service was great too. Highly recommend.
Great value for ayce! Broth is very flavorful you don't really even need the sauce. You have to get the split pot with two flavors. We got sichuan and bone broth and loved them both. Medium spicy is pretty spicy even though Im Asian, so be careful for those that cant handle heat. Great option overall and even have free lobster! There was 7 of us so we got two lobsters. Their premium limited items were phenomenal too, the wagyu was probably american but really well marbled. They also have a small section of cold plates ready to eat that were great, i liked the tripe dish a lot. Also free drinks is such a plus and they got some cool asian drinks. Only issue is the elevator smells like fish haha like rotten fish. But once you get through that the interior and ambiance is very elegant and makes ypu forget about the fish smell immediately. I suggest reservations at peak times as we walked in at four but at 6 there were a lot of people waiting

Great experience， nice hotpot here. I had a great experience at this hotpot restaurant. The food was fresh, delicious, and there were many choices of meat, vegetables, seafood, and noodles. The broth was flavorful and not too salty, and I really liked being able to adjust the dipping sauce to my own taste. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they brought out our orders quickly. The restaurant was clean and had a comfortable atmosphere, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fun and satisfying dining experience. I would definitely come back again with my friends. read more
This was my first time visiting and I will absolutely be back!! I went with one other person around 7 on a Friday night and we waited less than 20 minutes. Our table was spacious and felt private. Once we were sat, the server was with us immediately and explained everything to us as it was our first time visiting. She made broth recommendations which were fantastic. It's AYCE and you order your proteins on an iPad which is very easy to use. Everything came promptly and was super fresh. Otherwise, all veggies, noodles, and shellfish are buffet style so you can grab whatever you want. There was a pretty good variety, I do wish they had a few more veggies but there were a lot of really interesting items! There is also a BYO sauce bar, fruit and sides, and a fridge of bottled drinks that are unlimited as well. They came around a few times to refill our broth and adjust temperature as necessary. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the cilantro beef, so tasty! I believe it came out to ~$45 a person. Great first experience here and will absolutely be back. read more

It was my first time here. A friend and I crossed over from Jersey to Philly despite the snowy weather. It took some time to find, but it was well worth the trouble and the wait! Hot Pot done right. We chose beef bone and Tom Yum broth. It was so good- very satisfying and delicious. Perfect for this cold winter! I had no issues with the service. They were prompt and followed up like they should. At the end they did accidentally overcharge me, but fortunately they caught their mistake and made the necessary corrections. It did not take away from my overall experience. read more

WELL WORTH THE PRICE, on initial glance, the price tag can be quite intimidating but listen here...the value is impeccable and hard to beat Fresh seafood, unlimited beef, unlimited asian drinks... The salmon sashimi was actually my favorite thing on the menu...super clean taste, delicious Feels like a completely different ambience and environment when you are on the street and take the elevator up. Service is 4/5 - quite responsive but at times, they can lag. Not too big a deal tho! read more

Came here for the third or fourth time. It never disappoints. They always have good selections of meat and vegetables options. The included bottled/can drinks are also so good. For $39.99, it is all you can eat and with two premium items per person. Good value and tasty! The staff was kind and checked on the water level a few times. I recommend waitlisting or making a reservation on Yelp ahead of time as the wait can be quite long during prime dining hours. The inside seems clean but the elevator going up was a bit sketchy. The only down side was the limited dessert options. We will be back!!!! read more

Very tasty hot pot place with great variety of items. On floor 3 for the elevator in the Cherry St alley. Good drink assortment that's included with the hot pot. Price for all you can eat includes lobster, crab, ribs, on top of the special proteins, so there is only the one price level. Other places may have 2 tiers for regular or premium but this only has 1 so be ready. Nice inside and the tables are big for all your plates and such. Staff good at bringing out more things for you or filling up broths. All the food trays were nicely kept and refilled when low. All the standard hot pot items veggies, noodles, fish balls, etc. The sauce cart was well stocked as well. read more

I've heard a lot about hot pot but didn't think it could be a worthwhile experience for me since I'm pescatarian-- I was so wrong. I LOVED this experience! First off, this spot is on the third floor so their entrance on Cherry St. is just an elevator. Upstairs, it's a big and bustling space. We came on a Friday night at 8:30pm for a pre-Lunar New Year parade dinner, and it was crowded because a lot of people had the same idea! We had a to wait a bit even though we had a reservation but we didn't mind because they had benches by the front. We got to pick two broths (we went with the spicy broth, tom yum) and since we were a group of three, we got a free lobster too. We ordered some other specialty seafood and meat to the table on a little paper sheet as well as on the iPad. We did order salmon sashimi and never received that unfortunately. We had to remind our server about some of the other things we ordered (they were swamped, to be fair), but we had more than enough food to eat. A highlight for me was the help yourself section towards the front. They have a ton of different vegetables, seasonings, sauces, fruit, and a fridge of great beverages that you can get at your leisure. Like I said, we had more than enough food to eat! Pricing was $39 for the AYCE, and total per person came out to around $53 with tax and tip. Quick Recommendations (from my first hotpot experience): - the spicy broth gets spicier as you use more, and even with added water, the flavor got a little overwhelming by the end of it - be prepared to google cooking times for the seafood, they don't provide recommendations so it's really on you - wear clothes you can wash easily in the event of spills and also smell (because the sauce can be potent) read more

I've never been to a hotpot before, so I was a little hesitant in doing so. I ended up having such a fun experience! The ambiance in this place was very cute. We were able to get unlimited meats and noodles to cook, and the drinks are endless as well. Our service was very quick, and we got a lot of food. Definitely recommend while in Chinatown! read more

Are there tables suitable for 6 people?
Yes. This place is actually more ideal for groups than singles or a couple. The tables are like those long, banquet hall style tables. So it's very ideal for a group
Is there a lunch price/menu? Weekdays only? How much and until what time? What does it come with?
We have the weekday special. All day Monday through Thursday and Friday before 5pm. The price is 33.99 per person. All food and drinks are included except the premium items.
How much does average all you can eat cost per person?
36.99 for the premium i believe. It was just shy of 40 pp and it included 2 premium choices per person and a lobster if you have 3 or more people. It was a ton of food and absolutely worth the price
What is the price for kids? Do they have different prices for 9, 7, 4?
I actually think they did it by height. They measured my son and he was above level 1 but below level 2 so I think he was $10 less?
