Pork and leek dumplings. Note the weird crust on them.
Holly R.

Eh. We got takeout. I wouldn't go here again. However, I gave it two stars rather than once since we ate until we were full. One star is reserved for food that I couldn't eat. We got the fried dumplings (pork and leek) and vegetable dumplings... The pork ones were pretty tasty. I liked the dipping sauce. However they had this weird crust around it... it looked like if you had put Parmesan on a frying pan and it became lace-like and crusty. But obviously it wasn't parm. That crust was kind of chewy and weird... the rest of it was good. The vegetable ones were weird and had chopped up noodles in them that made the filling dry, and it almost had the texture of cous cous. My mom took one bite and couldnt finish her dumpling. I poured sauce into it, and then it was merely OK. Crab rangoons barely had any filling in them, and they were chewy and hard to eat. The scallion pancakes were also chewy and kind of flavorless. The shrimp toast was ok... my Mom got that and she said she's had better but it was tasty. However, they were very small. The eggroll was also good, but I've had better. Finally, the wonton soup. That was the saving grace of this meal. The broth was light and not too salty, and the noodles were almost melt in your mouth, and not chewy or doughy like some places. It was good, but not good enough to make me go back there. If I was in the area and craving chinese and didn't want to drive anywhere (which is unlikely to ever be the scenario I'm in), I would probably go in here for the pork dumplings and some wonton soup. It was cheap and barely tasty enough to justify going here in that situation. Barely.

Very nice small restaurant. Food is fresh and served in big portion. It tastes like papa's kitchen (home made) authentic Chinese food! :)

The wontons were excellent, the dough was tender. The tofu home style was the best I've ever had

Food is still good, but the environment needs to improve. New chef is not as good as before, but still pretty decent

I love their soups - Hot & Sour being the best I've ever had anywhere! We also enjoy their crab rangoon, steamed or fried dumplings, teriyaki chicken, and the curry chicken turnovers are all delicious! Their egg rolls are okay, but I stopped ordering them when they became so ridiculously small - cost is $2.09 each. All of their prices have increased substantially over the past couple years - they are on the price gouging bandwagon with everyone else of course! But I do know other Chinese establishments are yet even more pricier than this one. I am one that likes variety and to try different dishes. Unfortunately, many have left me disappointed because their sauces are boring and lackluster. However, there are still a variety of selections to choose from that are delicious and keep me plenty satisfied: Chow Mein (cabbage dish) Mei Fun (thin noodle) Chow Fun (flat noodle) Singapore Chow Mei Fun (spicy, yum!) Udon with beef (thick noodle) Egg Foo Young - a favorite in our family Ma Po Tufu (vegetable dish) Moo Goo Gai Pan (chicken dish) Shrimp with Lobster Sauce - it's missing the tiny pieces of lobster :( The lady that runs this place is professional and hardworking to say the least! She runs her butt off in effort to keep that food pumping out quick, and it does! We don't order delivery anymore in order to cut our expense, pickup time is 20 mins and it's always ready!
