I was hard pressed to choose from the extensive menu. She strongly suggested a pasta dish that this Italian had never heard of - whaaaat?!! The dish was a Gnudi one with butternut squash, pumpkin seeds and a butter sauce! Im so glad that Egle talked me into it! Every bite was a verbal noise or compliment from me! Absolutely delicious!!! How had I never heard of this delight?!! Sir got a go-to of chicken parm with a side of rigatoni. He enjoyed it but not to the extent that I did. Feeling neutral about Buona Via - nothing to write home about. Service was outstanding from start to finish. I can't complain about that because the care and attention we received was spectacular. Our water glasses were constantly getting filled and the waitress popped over a few times to check in on us. We had a reservation and were seated earlier than the reservation time which was awesome. The decor throughout the restaurant was nice and Italian music could be heard through the speakers. The table linens felt premium. The bruschetta came out looking great but was soft. I mean, there was zero crisp to the bread. It's too bad because I genuinely enjoyed the flavor. I just never had bruschetta that didn't have a crunch to it. I ordered the eggplant margherita which came out looking exactly the same as the Chicken Parmesan. It looked like the same dish except not chicken. The eggplant could've had stronger flavor and thicker breading in my opinion. I added salt and pepper because it was slightly bland. The spaghetti tasted fine. Limoncello cake lacked lemon flavor. Lemon wasn't prominent enough. I'd recommend adding the zest of a lemon to make it stand out more. Buona Via is a wonderful place to grab some drinks at the bar but the food quality needs some improvement. read more

Under new ownership. The restaurant has a great setup, a huge bar and large formal dining room and outdoor shaded patio. The staff was super attentive and helpful. Had dinner with the family. I got the salad caprese to start which was a nice size portion and tomatoes were super fresh. For dinner I modified the chicken parmigiana to make it a la vodka and it was fabulous. This restaurant is horrible. The food and service was awful. I ordered the daily special porkchop stuff with prosciutto and it was super salty and undercooked. The mash potatoes and asparagus was nothing special. My wife ordered the parpadelle bolognese and it taste like it was rotten. For appetizers we ordered the fry calamari and meatballs. The calamari was rubbery and meatballs were bland. The service is mediocre. The waiters don't know what to recommend, don't know how to explain their dishes, have limited communication skills and zero charisma. The only good thing about this place is plenty of parking, the restaurant is beautiful and has descent drinks. read more

Perfection! Buona Via hosted my daughters first birthday party this past weekend and it was nothing short of amazing. From the service to the food everything was perfect and all of our guests agreed. The party was very large - approximately 70 people ranging in ages from a few months old to 80 years old and there was not a single complaint, only praise. The owners Tony and Kam did everything they could to make my daughters birthday as special and magical as possible and made my job easier in doing so. The servers were there early to help us set up eveything and made sure I had a drink in hand while doing so. Everyone was so impressed by the service and how quickly the appetizers, meals, and dessert got to the tables. The bartender was also incredible and constantly making drinks for everyone, pouring wine, and opening beers. Again, not an easy task with such a large party, but they executed wonderfully and professionally! Now on to the food. We had several appetizers (calamari, burrata, caprese salad, and arancini) all of which were delicious and quickly devoured. The main courses though are what stole the show, while simple dishes (chicken parm, penne alla vodka, and salmon), everyone raved about how good their meal was. Most people when coming to a large event are often let down by the food (I'm thinking weddings when the food is typically meh - myself included), but Buona Via they knocked it out of the park. From the plating to the actual taste - it was so good. I personally tried both the penne alla vodka and chicken parm - delicious! I'm also very picky when it comes to Italian food and thoroughly enjoyed both. So whether you are planning an event or just want to go for a date night, I cannot recommend Buona Via enough! I was so stressed leading up to the party, but am so sad that it is over because everything truly was perfect. So just go and try for yourself! read more

News Flash: One of their current specials is Tri-colored Linguine in a pesto cream sauce, julienned vegetables, baby shrimp and LOBSTER TAIL!! The couple to our right both ordered this special, the size and presentation of the lobster was impressive. I went with my old standby the Linguine Seafood as it has calamari in the dish and I don't like going to many weeks without indulging in calamari. The girlfriend went with the Tortellacci, the most magnificent large tortellini stuffed with braised veal, in a mushroom cream sauce. After having a few bites of my GF's dish I will honestly say as much as I love their linguine seafood the Tortellacci dish is even better. A serious must try (if you can't read in between the lines, stop what you're doing and come here for the Tortellacci!). I have recently attained the Rank of Duke of Buona Via, as this is my favorite Italian restaurant in Horsham as I have stated in my prior reviews. However, it was over 50 minutes before our entrees were delivered. This was extremely disappointing, especially since it was not very busy. New owners, you should give it a try. They also own Osteria Saporino on County Line Rd. They have a nice selection of seasonal cocktails. I had the Buono martini with lemon and rosemary. They have buck a shuck oysters on Monday and Wednesday. I had a half a dozen large tasty oysters with a side of Mignonette and cocktail sauce. My husband had the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were fresh and huge. We had the whole branzino filleted at the table. It was also fresh and nicely seasoned. It came with a side of roasted potatoes and Brussel sprouts with a lemon caper sauce on the side. We also had a cowboy ribeye in Marsala sauce with mashed and asparagus. The steak was large and cooked to the requested temp. The sauce tasted rich, like ot had been cooked for a long time. For the finish, we ordered a large slice of their carrotcake. Can't say enough good things about this place. We went there for Thanksgiving dinner buffet style.$50 a person it was worth it included soft drinks and they kept on bringing out the food not like when we went to Angelo's in Horsham where they took the food away cause people were leaving. I would definitely go back there for Thanksgiving dinner. Friendly atmosphere waitress has always came up to you and asked if you needed anything they kept bringing out food all the time. I came here with my family for a birthday on a Monday night. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside and was spacious. The service was very good. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food we ordered took a bit to come out, but it was all very delicious. We got veal caprese, veal tortellini and crab meat pasta. It was very nice seeing the dessert cart come by. Everything looked very good. For my dessert it could have been better. The key lime tart felt store bought, and had too much flour in it or something?Everyone else liked theirs. The interior of this place is nicely decorated with the Christmas decoration but everything stops there. We weren't really greeted but it was okay because the restaurant seem busy. We got sat down and the server didn't greet us for a long time. When the server finally came, he asked what we wanted to drink, no greeting. We ordered our food and ended up getting the wrong dish. No apologize just a confused look and seemed annoyed. At the end of our meal, the server finally came around and seemed to be okay with us? The whole experience was uncomfortable. This may not be fair since it's based on a thanksgiving buffet, but no restaurant should be OK with serving what they served. Ever. For any reason. The only comparison I can make is to what I'd imagine Golden Corrall tastes like, though I suspect they wouldn't have had the cajones to serve this swill. The turkey was inedible...I can't even explain how it could taste like that. Salty, flavorless otherwise, with a slimy film. Utterly repulsive. Instant mashed potatoes. Gravy that looked like dishwater. Guessing this was a knorr packet. Stuffing that stovetop would disown. Utterly gross and inedible. The deserts were even worse, and featured what I assume were cookies from a box store. At nearly $50/head. On the one hand, thanks for being open, but on the other hand - have you no shame? Or pride? A Wawa turkey bowl would have been preferable. That's not an exaggeration. You should honestly be ashamed. I can't even express how terrible this was, and while it may be unfair to judge from a holiday buffet, I'd never trust a restaurant that would serve that. read more

My dining companion and I frequent this restaurant and usually have a wonderful time. The food is rather good and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We have experienced wonderful service over the years until our last visit. We had the misfortune of being served by Addison. Obviously a new server who does not have a clue. Every miss-step degraded the enjoyment of our evening. Dry wine glasses, no refill on water and she forgot to put in our order so we waited 45 minutes for our entree. This is a large two-story Italian eatery on Route 611 in Horsham. We ended up here after the place we planned on enjoying was closed to the public for a SuperBowl party. We came in on the tail end of what looked like a large party gathering, so no one was at the host(ess) station. However, one of the staff saw us after a few minutes and called us over to a table. The interior is quite pretty with plants along the entry and along the corridor to the bathrooms. Yellow walls and a faux fireplace are featured in the main first floor dining room (to the right of the entrance) and a large bar area sits to the left. The food: Calamari-very tender, lightly breaded, nicely seasoned. I liked it, one of my dining mates would have preferred it crispier (it's just lightly fried) Capellini with crabmeat-Lots of crabmeat, perfectly cooked pasta tossed with tomato. Pretty good Lobster ravioli-Black ravioli in a creamy white sauce-reportedly delicious Risotto with mixed seafood-also reportedly delicious. I tasted some of the seafood and each piece was cooked well. They apparently also offer Sunday brunch and someone came by for a take away order while we were there, so that's offered as well. The service: Service was pretty good. The restaurant wasn't very busy when we went (probably due to the big football game plus we went at an odd time) and our waiter was attentive while being unobtrusive. We had to wait a bit to be acknowledged when we came in, probably due to the large party preparing to exit when we entered. We were asked for our drink orders prior to being given any menus. But, we were accommodated well during our meal, and thanked for our patronage when leaving. We would happily dine here again. read more

Came here on a Monday at 5:30 to enjoy the buck-a-shuck oysters. The restaurant is gorgeous inside as well as the outside. We opted to sit at the large bar area. I ordered the oysters and my friend ordered the calamari. They were both delicious and hit the spot. They have many items on the happy hour menu and discounted drinks as well. We came here for a rehearsal dinner a few months ago and it was so good so we knew we needed to revisit for dinner! To start, unless your reservation is at 5pm on the dot, you'll have to valet park. The gentlemen that do said parking do not speak much English and their driving skills make me nervous. Anyways, service was fine. Atmosphere was nice. My date and I we're trying to decide whether to go to Carrabba's or Buena via so we went on the menu to check how much the salmon was. It stated $24 $2 higher than Carrabba's but my date thought a change would be good So we traveled to the restaurant, opened the menu and there overwritten was a charge of $39 for the salmon. I brought it up and the waitress try to wiggle her way out of it. My date wanted me to drop it. That's why I'm on here The waitress was not friendly, not cooperative and we were deprived of some cash I could have used someplace else. Go to Carrabba's and try the broccoli with the salmon. Brought my in-laws who were visiting from the Uk. Have been before many times but probably not for 2-3 years or so. This time, the food was just meh (mine was overcooked) and the service was nonexistent. Meatballs on the happy hour menu were probably the only good thing I ate, and I ordered it for my son. They claim to be child friendly and, even though we went for an early dinner to be mindful of others, i would not call this place child friendly. I visited here 2 days ago in a party of 5. Everyone had a wonderful time. There was a very large group celebrating a special occasion, but because they were upstairs it had no effect on us at all. Our waiter was attentive, the food came out promptly, and was well-prepared. Our dinner consisted of drinks -- they have a full bar -- appetizers that were shared among all of us, main courses that were all delicious and dessert for some. (The desert cart was extremely tempting.) We were not rushed, which was great because one of our group had just returned from two months in Australia and we had a lots to talk about. When we were ready to go the check came quickly and was correct. All in all, a wonderful experience. There is no doubt that all of us will be back, and probably soon. One more item I want to note. The (complimentary) valet service were two of the most polite and considerate young men I've ever encountered in that role. This is not a small thing. Even before we saw the hostess or maitre 'd, the two valet attendants created a sense of care and hospitality in our party that put us in a perfect frame of mind to enjoy everything else Buona Via had to offer. I've never reviewed a restaurant and singled out the valet service before, but these fellows were exceptional. They are a credit to your business. read more

I would absolutely recommend the restaurant for dinner but would NOT for Sunday Brunch. We have been here many times for dinner and decided to go for Mother's Day Brunch this year after seeing the menu. We were highly dissatisfied in the food quality and the fact that what they stated on the printed menu was NOT what they served. The food that was placed out was cold, when it was supposed to be hot, and way below the quality that we were used to from Buona Via. We will never return for a brunch here again. Service was fine , we were a party of 4 and they added a 20% tip automatically to our bill. I normally would post photos but it wasn't photo worthy. I really didn't expect to eat a salad for my Mother's Day meal and for it to have been so expensive. For the cost of $38 per person, I expect much better from you. read more
