Decent food but sub par service. We were sat and forgot about. My gf had to get up and request a server. Once the server came over, she did take our orders. For an 80 degree day, it was very hot in the restaurant and I had felt the heat blowing. There was black stuff on the ice in my water. The breakfast burrito however, was very good and the prices were reasonable.

Service was prompt and friendly. The shrimp and grits were good. They were served in a sweet style with maple syrup. They had bacon and a bunch of shrimp with green onions. I think I would prefer them more savory. The ham breakfast sandwich was fresh with an egg, lettuce, tomato and onion on a brioche bun. Good brunch spots with some nice cocktails.

Filet mignon and Pork Schnitzel

The pork schnitzel and filet mignon were to die for! They were both cooked to perfection! Our server was also very good! They had a good playlist and atmosphere... even saved room for desert! 10/10

House cab and Bitburger Beer (in the appropriate mug!)

If I have my druthers, I almost ALWAYS choose Chinese food. But today, living in the fast lane -- yeah, right -- I decided on a gastro pub for lunch. 3.54 stars! T ordered Bitburger, a beer he hadn't had since visiting Germany. I hate beer. House cab for me. He went with fish and chips. I chose a small salad and calamari. (We rarely splurge on all this fried stuff!) The greens had more ingredients than typical. If the croutons were homemade and the ranch dressing more descript, I would've loooooved the salad. There was a lot of calamari on my plate. Even with T helping out, I brought a fair amount home. The calamari needed a little something extra, but the rings and tentacles brought my rating up .54 points. (I'm nothing if not precise!) T's fish was fried with a thick coating. The cod was flakey, but like the squid, needed zing. Even though tables overlook the parking lot, it was pleasant to sit outside. The staff is very nice. While I probably won't come back, if you like gastro pubs, Iron Abbey sells everything a pub should sell!

Croquets. Yum.

I LOVE going to the Iron Abbey when in the area. I was there on a Wednesday and it was burger night. I like to go here bc they have a large (30) tap menu of great beers, including one of the only places that has Russian River on tap. Tonight I started with the happy hour chicken croquettes and had the absolutely amazing juicy thick pork chop with potatoes and asparagus as my entree. I like to get one of their cask old fashioned during happy hour. Tonight I had 2 great tap beers and headed up stairs to grab a beer to go. Service is always very attentive at the. Again it's a bar. It's got more of a European feel and ambiance is basement cellar which caters to European soccer fans with the televised games. My only complaint is parking, it's behind the restaurant. I have NEVER had a bad meal. I travel alone for work and usually there are friendly people around the bar to talk to. Love coming here.

Great ambiance for English premiere league games on the weekend especially if you're a Liverpool fan. Went during the week and enjoyed their poutine appetizer. Chicken and dumpling dish was gnocchi that I really liked. The seafood pasta was okay, strong seafood taste. The staff was very welcoming.

Fried Chicken Sliders

The food was good. I guess I expected more seeing as how it's right next to the NaBrasa. There could have been a little more flavor in the chicken sliders, but the ribs and salmon were really yummy from what my family said. I reallllyyy enjoyed the brownie, it was surprisingly 10x better than the cake. The inside is nice, plenty of seating, and the bar is pretty big. The drinks were made very well, 8/10. Our server was quick and efficient. They bring the check in a little box, which I thought was neat. I would try this place again.

Great food and great drink specials. We ordered wings, they were fried to perfection with fresh veggies and real blue cheese dressing. We also had nachos piled high with all kinds of goodness. And if that wasn't enough we had $6 margaritas that were very flavorful. Service was prompt and fast.

Almost gave it three stars because of being rushed to finish our appetizers but more on that later…read more The outside of the restaurant isn't all that special looking, in fact one in our party walked right past while looking for it! Once inside, the feeling was a lot better. Not much in the way of art work on the walls, but still had a nice warm feeling. There were 3 of us and we did a lot of sharing. The Scallops in Shredded Filo was good but the Crab & Artichoke, with garlic aioli, parsley and capers was definitely "the winner". The Seafood Ceviche with scallops, halibut and shrimp was also delicious. While 2 of us were still enjoying our appetizers, our entrees were brought to the table and our plates moved to make room for them. I made the comment to no one in particular that I would try to eat faster as the seafood ceviche was pushed off to the side of the table. We had a 7 pm reservation and for the most part the restaurant was full by that time but we were not intentionally eating slowly. I could see if we might be taking up too much time eating and they had to move the tables but that was not the case as the restaurant was only half full by the time we left. For an establishment that is charging the prices that it is, Avg $18 for appetizers, high $30s for entrees, no one wants to feel rushed. The Halibut Almondine with Beurre Blank was good but not as good as we had hoped, with it being on the dry-side. The Dorado with Baby Vegetables was delicious as well as beautifully presented with "potato fish scales". A shared warm Pecan Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream completed our meal. Their menu is extensive making it an easy decision to return but I will mention that we would like a more leisurely experience this time around.

I love Turkish coffee and this was very good. The juice was tart and delicious. The breakfast platter was a showstopper. Two fried eggs, tomato, feta, two meat patties, and homemade bread. The flavors of the meat blew my mind. Who knew that Croatians make the most delicious burgers. This is a hearty and fantastic dish. Also, the burek was flaky and light and not very mini. I took home the cake and enjoyed it later. Light, delicate and not overly sweet, this was a star. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you should stop in for any meal. Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.

From the moment we sat down, it was clear this wasn't just dinner -- it was an experience. The bread alone was award-winning quality. The squash harvest soup was absolutely amazing -- rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. It was a five-course meal, and every course delivered. The cheese and cherry ravioli was an incredible sweet-and-savory combination that had me savoring every bite. The roasted duck had unique, complex flavors and was definitely delicious. I also tried a bit of the shrimp -- even though I passed most of it off -- and it was excellent. And dessert? I don't even know exactly what it was, but it was outstanding. What really sets this place apart is the full experience. We were given a tour of the property and learned about the incredible history of the building. Barry, our waiter and tour guide, was absolutely incredible -- attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the restaurant. The private tour and the information he shared made the night even more special. We also had the privilege of meeting the owner and chef, Brondo. He was a pleasure to meet -- very cool guy and an exceptional chef. Everything about La Locanda Del Cavallo is on point: Great service Great atmosphere Great people Must-try food While the food was fantastic, the entire experience is what makes it truly unique. You may have to fold your mirrors in to hit cars, I'm not exaggerating. I had envisioned a larger restaurant but this was small with maybe 7 tables. We sat at one with padded wooden benches that was comfortable. We were the only customers when arrived for lunch. The menu is limited and the waitress was as authentic as the food. There were some lunch specials posted but we opted to try three things: mushroom cheese bread, potato pancakes and the blueberry pierogies. The pierogies were definitely handmade and on the larger side as soon as you cut it open, the blueberries rushed out. There was a sweet sugary sauce on the top. That was unexpected. They were served cold and not warm. They were sweet. There were two of us and we each were only able to eat one of the six that came in the order. The mushroom cheese bread was drizzled with ketchup, which was unexpected that cheese was melting and gooey. Our favorite item was definitely the potato pancakes. They were cooked to perfection and the sour cream was the perfect condiment. They do have limited drinks here, including bottled water, cans of Pepsi and diet Pepsi, and some unique bottled drinks like birch water. The biggest drawback for the spot was that I just didn't think it was as clean as I would've liked it to be. It is authentic and as you eat, there is a man in the back that you can see making pierogies by hand. I'm glad that we tried this, but I'm not sure that I would return.

We came specifically for the wings, and if you're a wing lover, this is absolutely the place. The Wing of the Month, Sriracha Maple, was a great starting point. It's exactly what they describe: the perfect blend of heat and sweetness. It reminded me of their classic Hot n Honey, but with an extra kick and more sweetness. An excellent seasonal flavor! For my second order of ten wings I had to get five Hot n Honey, as I t remains the gold standard. Sweet, spicy, and consistently excellent. There's a reason it's a fan favorite. The other five of that order was the Flamin' Pickleback, which was bold, tangy, and spicy in the best way possible. If you love pickles and heat, don't skip this one. My third order of ten were five Sweet Chili and five Korean BBQ. Both were well-balanced and flavorful. Great choices! Between wing rounds, I ordered the sweet potato fries with horseradish sauce, and this combo deserves more love. The sweetness of the fries paired with the sharp, creamy horseradish is a great contrast and a sleeper hit. Highly recommend this order! My boys (ages 14 and 20) always get their burgers and they love the burgers at P.J. Whelihan's and always devour them. To finish the night, (since it was my birthday) I went with the Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet Sundae: warm cookie, cold ice cream, and pure comfort. A perfect way to end a birthday wing night. The service was solid. Our waitress was very pleasant, however she disappeared at times and we waited for drink refills and reorders longer than I felt we should have had to wait given that it didn't seem that busy at the time. We saw other servers pass us a number of times before our server revisited our table. This isn't the norm though. Their service is usually spot on. Overall, PJ Whelihan's in Horsham is a top-tier spot for wings, especially on Wing Night. Huge variety, consistently great flavors, and a fun, casual atmosphere. Highly recommended if wings are your things like me! And if you love burgers, salads (which we've had in the past too) and friendly service.
