    Toasted Italiano
    Ben L.

Service is swift. You can order in line, online, or on a computer screen at the restaurant. They also have customer names and order status posted on a computer screen next to the to go line. I had the toasted Italiano - it did not look impressive from an optics standpoint, but, surprisingly, was quite tasty. Ham, salami and cheese based. Probably not worth $15 for the size but it was above average for taste. Parking can be a challenge with the In N Out right next door.

First time grabbing something from here in years. Ciabatta bacon egg and cheese: nothing special as you can see from the picture and something you can make at home. If you consider it a convenient grab and go, quality is fine.

Did online mobile order for 10:30am pick up and order was ready. The kickin grilled cheese was so good. I love the little kick it has. You can never go wrong with a tomato soup and grilled cheese.

The food is always good and fresh. Coffee/Tea hot and ready. The men and women that work here are pretty cheerful, helpful and hardworking. Clean and well decorated interior. Indoor/outdoor seating available. Private parking.

Chicken Noodle Soup with French Baguette

Friendly staff and good service Clean and cozy dining atmosphere I like the food choices here at Panera Bread When I am not craving for burgers and tacos, Panera is a great alternative. The food at Panera is flavorful and not super heavy on the grease. This is always something to like (I like it). Items I ordered today: - chicken noodle soup - chocolate latte The chicken noodle soup came with a French Baguette which makes a great complementary to the light meal. This chicken noodle soup is perfect for a cold, rainy day like today. That cup of chocolatey latte pairs well with it. And as for chocolate lattes? Very flavorful, interesting, and creative. One thing I really like about Panera, they are never super crowded. Overall, great first experience here so I am definitely coming back.

Tried to find a place for meeting off the Millbrae Station. This Panera Bread looked quite close, but had taken some zigzagging to arrive. There was a roadside sign at the intersection of Millbrae Ave and Rollins Rd, but had to walk through the gas station and parking lots. Service was promptly. Most booths and tables were sort of dark, so had to use the table off the exit.

Panera bread saved my throat. I liked that you can get the combo at an affordable price. If the temperature of the soup wasn't satisfying, you can reheat it to your taste. I was a little upset about one thing - my chicken soup was a bit too salty. However, I liked the Caesar salad, and I appreciated the fact that when you buy tea, you can add honey, which has a good effect on the body, protecting against possible cold weather illnesses. My boyfriend also rated his tomato soup and sandwich, saying it's a nice place to visit in the cold season. In conclusion, I can say that this establishment can be visited often because of the reasonable prices, good food and convenient location.

    Corporate policy failed their employees

Cold management scolded an employee in the dining space: I sat down at the window table near the ordering tablets, and where apparently is in front of the "business table" nook area where Panera management sits and talks business. As I was sitting I could hear every private conversation about names of specific employees, comments about their work performances and their work schedules. Then at the end, an older short male manager pulled up one of the subordinate employees to have a negative performance review about her. His tone was unprofessional and didn't care to listen about what the new employee was experiencing, he just wanted her performance better. Numbers, numbers, numbers and he didn't care about the humanity of his employees. To top things off, he made her get up in the middle of the conversation to help a customer at the register and come back, as if she was even in the mindset to provide friendly customer service after demoralizing her just so she can sit back down and be demoralized even more. I wish I said something because I know this poor girl doesn't get paid enough to deal with such pig-like and unprofessional big wigs. I also have dealt with similar experiences at another Panera location of management acting unprofessionally superior towards lower ranking employees in front of customers. There is clearly a deep rooted issue in the way Panera Bread corporate treats their employees and it bleeds down the ladder. Do better Panera Bread! Your management is so cold and unprofessional!

I sometimes go to Panera because I have the unlimited drink subscription. The people at this location will get you a cup without even verifying your subscription. Anyways I had an Asiago bagel in the Daly City location and it was pretty good. I decided to order one at this location but it always shows all bagels sold out on the app, maybe because they don't feel like making them. My guy went inside and ordered 2 bagels. One for me and one for my 7 year old. Both bagels were burnt and just thrown in the back not wrapped or anything. My sons was crispy with bubbles and mine wasn't even cut in half right. I mean how do you cut with a hole and part of the other half stuck to the other side and burn and crispy. I definitely will not be eating from this location again.

Warm Mediterranean bowl with chicken, a chicken soup thingy and broccoli cheddar soup whachamacallit with hella bread.

I got the potato salad and the zhajiangmian, and my boyfriend got the Lanzhou beef noodles and pork burger. I wish they put the components of the dish in the menu online so you could opt out, because both my zhajiangmian and potato salad came with bean sprouts (which I hate!!). I just picked through all of them and ate the remaining dish afterwards- the potato salad was yummy and the zhajiangmian was savory and came with lots of minced pork! My boyfriend enjoyed his Lanzhou beef noodles a lot, the beef was tender and the broth was incredibly flavorful and delicious. He liked the pork burger a lot as well, they did not skimp on the meat and the bun was fluffy! I would highly recommend this dish to anyone, it's a classic that is done well! The menu is very simple with choices of broths and noodle thickness. There is a guy constantly hand pulling noodle. Sauerkraut fish set comes with a side of garlic cucumbers and two lamb skewers. The broth for the sauerkraut fish was good but the texture of the fish was weird. It's supposed to be snakehead fish but had a texture like frog. Spicy marinated potatoes strings was good Marinated wood ear fungus salad was excellent Nice clean interior. We were seated right away, and the restaurant itself is clean, nice, and spacious. I can imagine it getting packed during peak hours--and honestly, it should. I'm going straight to the point: Han Sang has the best Galbi Jjim I've ever had. I've been to other places (which shall remain unnamed) that proudly claim they have the best Galbi Jjim, but I'm happy to say I've finally found the one. At the same time, I'm a little sad because I live in SoCal, which means I can't just come here whenever the craving hits. This dish checked every box imaginable. The beef was incredibly flavorful, fall-apart tender, and they gave a generous amount of meat. And when I say meat, I mean actual meat--not a pile of bones disguised as a serving. (Yes, that's coming from past restaurant trauma.) You definitely get your money's worth here. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly and soaked up all that rich, savory sauce. Then came the surprise waiting at the bottom: glass noodles. Not the usual thin ones either--these were thicker, chewier, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. The entire dish was so satisfying it genuinely made me happy. We also ordered the Chadol and Yangji Suyuk, a beef brisket soup that was exactly what we needed on a cold evening. The brisket was tender, and as expected, the broth arrived lightly seasoned so you can adjust it to your liking. After adding a little salt, pepper, and some ssamjang, it became the perfect comforting bowl of soup. Warm, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try their Bossam because the portions were huge and we could barely finish what we ordered. That's not a complaint--if anything, it's the perfect excuse to come back. Maybe this is what people mean when they say they left their heart in San Francisco. Mine might actually be sitting in a bowl of Galbi Jjim at Han Sang.

It can get a little busy during lunch hour but we were able to get a table for our party of 2 in around 10 minutes. Their menu had a variety of dishes, most prominent were the assortment of noodle dishes from dry to soupy or spicy. Leek Pancake - This was made so well, it was thin yet crispy and held together well. The leeks gave a subtle flavor and were a little tough to bite through but it tasted so good, especially dipped in the side sauce. Yangji Chadol Sul Long Tang - At first glance, this setup is so nice with the assortment of sides at the top to the different items you can add into the soup. I loved the fish cake side as well as the kimchi which they do give refills of. It was nice being able to add seasoning in the soup to match my taste and so perfect combined all together with the radish side sauce. The meat is pretty generous and soft as well with the thin chewy noodles. Such a healing comforting dish. In addition to the food, the workers were so kind and attentive, always helping us to refill our side dishes when needed. Probably one of the best sul long tangs I have had and I keep coming back time and again for it.

Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location. My only disappointment was that I really love papaya salad and it was not an option. I may make this my go-to spot from now on, but as a Yelper, we all know we will keep trying new places. The first thing I noticed was that there was really not many pieces of ribs, maybe they made the ribs portion smaller to make room for the lap cheung I ordered? The dish description also says that it includes taro, but I didn't have a single piece of taro in my pot. Strangely, although this place seems to share a kitchen with Social Eatery, the rice was cooked much more poorly here, which is obviously a shame for a place specializing in clay pot rice. It seems like the rice had too much water added, so it was a bit overcooked - you couldn't feel the "single grain" mouthfeel texture you should expect from well-cooked, high quality rice. Since the rice was too mushy, it obviously didn't crisp well either. Though it had some small amount of bits stuck to the edges of the metal (not clay!) pot, it was definitely not the super crispy, well browned "faan ziu" I expect, and not at all like the pictures featured in some earlier reviews of this restaurant.
