    Oatmeal and latte
    Sharon S.

Stopped by here to pass time before an appointment and to get some work done. It wasn't too busy so I was able to place my order at the counter quickly. I got a latte and oatmeal. I was able to find a table easily too. As I was working, the noise around me made it quite difficult to concentrate. There was a worker taking her break at a table near me. She was watching tik tok at full volume and sat there for the entire hour I was there. At another nearby table, another diner was talking to someone on the phone on speaker. Overall, it was a terrible experience for me. I dropped in to get some work done thinking it'd be quiet and empty on a weekday and left without much accomplished.

Selected a You pick two today. Ordered a new item for me today, the Bacon Turkey Bravo, as part of a You Pick Two order. The other item was the ceasar salad. The Bacon Turkey Bravo is similar to a club sandwich, with a special sauce. It was pretty good, although I would have preferred it to be served with plain mayonnaise. The ceasar was good too.

Service is swift. You can order in line, online, or on a computer screen at the restaurant. They also have customer names and order status posted on a computer screen next to the to go line. I had the toasted Italiano - it did not look impressive from an optics standpoint, but, surprisingly, was quite tasty. Ham, salami and cheese based. Probably not worth $15 for the size but it was above average for taste. Parking can be a challenge with the In N Out right next door.

First time grabbing something from here in years. Ciabatta bacon egg and cheese: nothing special as you can see from the picture and something you can make at home. If you consider it a convenient grab and go, quality is fine.

Did online mobile order for 10:30am pick up and order was ready. The kickin grilled cheese was so good. I love the little kick it has. You can never go wrong with a tomato soup and grilled cheese.

The food is always good and fresh. Coffee/Tea hot and ready. The men and women that work here are pretty cheerful, helpful and hardworking. Clean and well decorated interior. Indoor/outdoor seating available. Private parking.

Chicken Noodle Soup with French Baguette
    Bennett W.

Friendly staff and good service Clean and cozy dining atmosphere I like the food choices here at Panera Bread When I am not craving for burgers and tacos, Panera is a great alternative. The food at Panera is flavorful and not super heavy on the grease. This is always something to like (I like it). Items I ordered today: - chicken noodle soup - chocolate latte The chicken noodle soup came with a French Baguette which makes a great complementary to the light meal. This chicken noodle soup is perfect for a cold, rainy day like today. That cup of chocolatey latte pairs well with it. And as for chocolate lattes? Very flavorful, interesting, and creative. One thing I really like about Panera, they are never super crowded. Overall, great first experience here so I am definitely coming back.

Tried to find a place for meeting off the Millbrae Station. This Panera Bread looked quite close, but had taken some zigzagging to arrive. There was a roadside sign at the intersection of Millbrae Ave and Rollins Rd, but had to walk through the gas station and parking lots. Service was promptly. Most booths and tables were sort of dark, so had to use the table off the exit.

Panera bread saved my throat. I liked that you can get the combo at an affordable price. If the temperature of the soup wasn't satisfying, you can reheat it to your taste. I was a little upset about one thing - my chicken soup was a bit too salty. However, I liked the Caesar salad, and I appreciated the fact that when you buy tea, you can add honey, which has a good effect on the body, protecting against possible cold weather illnesses. My boyfriend also rated his tomato soup and sandwich, saying it's a nice place to visit in the cold season. In conclusion, I can say that this establishment can be visited often because of the reasonable prices, good food and convenient location.

    Corporate policy failed their employees

Cold management scolded an employee in the dining space: I sat down at the window table near the ordering tablets, and where apparently is in front of the "business table" nook area where Panera management sits and talks business. As I was sitting I could hear every private conversation about names of specific employees, comments about their work performances and their work schedules. Then at the end, an older short male manager pulled up one of the subordinate employees to have a negative performance review about her. His tone was unprofessional and didn't care to listen about what the new employee was experiencing, he just wanted her performance better. Numbers, numbers, numbers and he didn't care about the humanity of his employees. To top things off, he made her get up in the middle of the conversation to help a customer at the register and come back, as if she was even in the mindset to provide friendly customer service after demoralizing her just so she can sit back down and be demoralized even more. I wish I said something because I know this poor girl doesn't get paid enough to deal with such pig-like and unprofessional big wigs. I also have dealt with similar experiences at another Panera location of management acting unprofessionally superior towards lower ranking employees in front of customers. There is clearly a deep rooted issue in the way Panera Bread corporate treats their employees and it bleeds down the ladder. Do better Panera Bread! Your management is so cold and unprofessional!

I sometimes go to Panera because I have the unlimited drink subscription. The people at this location will get you a cup without even verifying your subscription. Anyways I had an Asiago bagel in the Daly City location and it was pretty good. I decided to order one at this location but it always shows all bagels sold out on the app, maybe because they don't feel like making them. My guy went inside and ordered 2 bagels. One for me and one for my 7 year old. Both bagels were burnt and just thrown in the back not wrapped or anything. My sons was crispy with bubbles and mine wasn't even cut in half right. I mean how do you cut with a hole and part of the other half stuck to the other side and burn and crispy. I definitely will not be eating from this location again.

This place met everything I was looking for: plenty of parking (inside Burlingame Plaza), near SFO, efficient service, and high ratings. When my daughter and I arrived a little before 5:30pm, they were already pretty full. By the time we left, a little after 6pm, there're people waiting at the door. We got seated right away. Service was minimal. We helped ourselves to the pitcher of water on the table. After looking at the menu on the table, we placed our order by scanning a QR code. Since we're not too hungry. We ordered one appetizer and one noodle dish to share. The special mix salad came pretty quickly. We ordered "less spicy", and it had the perfect amount of heat. All the ingredients tasted fresh and the dish had a bit of everything we wanted to try. I liked the tofu skin the best, and my daughter loved the crunchy cucumber. It would be even better if they included lotus roots as well. It took a little while for the house special beef noodle soup (less spicy) to arrive, but it was totally worth the wait. It came piping hot. The broth was very flavorful, with the right amount of red pepper. It wasn't oily at all. The beef was super tender. I loved the texture of the noodles, and the beef to noodle ratio was not bad. A really solid dish. Would love to come back again to try their other dishes, especially their xiao long bao.

I just picked through all of them and ate the remaining dish afterwards- the potato salad was yummy and the zhajiangmian was savory and came with lots of minced pork! My boyfriend enjoyed his Lanzhou beef noodles a lot, the beef was tender and the broth was incredibly flavorful and delicious. He liked the pork burger a lot as well, they did not skimp on the meat and the bun was fluffy! I would highly recommend this dish to anyone, it's a classic that is done well! I went around 8pm on a weekday and place was packedddd, but the service was impressive. All of our dishes came out all at one, within 5-10 minutes after ordering. What I had: Yuk hwe (beef tartare with pears and egg yolk): If you're hesitant about raw beef, please don't be. It's honestly just like eating sashimi. Wagyu meat was incredibly tender, sweet, and melted in my mouth. It was mixed with some kind of seasoning sauce and egg yolk, so savory and addictive I couldn't stop. Highly recommend you should try it if you can eat raw food Bossam: Great but I found it a bit too fatty (meat-to-fat ratio was like 50:50 ). My favorite way to eat was wrapping it in lettuce with garlic (extraaa), jalapeno, kimchi, and ssamjang. It also went well with rice. Big bite was super satisfying Galbi tang: Something we ordered to balance things out (2 previous dishes was just heavy), and it was a perfect decision. The soup was light, clean, and deeply comforting. Beef short ribs were super tender. I like to eat with a big spoon, ribs, rice, kimchi then dipped in the warm soup, perfect!!! I also appreciate that they serve complimentary warm tea, which was perfect for a cold day like today. Portions are generous, we had plenty of leftovers. Would definitely come back.

The hubs ordered their soon tofu soup and I order the bibimbap. The food was that flavor wise, it was decent. The bad, and reason for low rating, is due to the portions and lack of ingredients. Literally, the skirt of beef in my bibimbap was less than one spoonful. It was made up by increase amount of veggies either. I know inflation is causing everything to be more expensive, but this feels a bit ridiculous. We'll probably not return, at least not for those items. They do have outdoor seating, not that it would help much when the lunch crowd is huge. Since the store name emphasizes on Hainan chicken, i havent quite explored their other menu items. First time I had the Hainan chicken rice plate, another time I had the noodle version. Funnily I find their rice plate version smaller portioned than the noodle soup, however it's not a true Hainan chicken experience without having oil rice. Both dishes serve Hainan chicken with scallion oil marinade and roasted peanuts. While noodles have oyster mushroom and spinach, rice plate has pickled veggies. Overall it gets the craving settled, its not the greatest though. The noodle soup was an interesting option. It feels a bit like when youre making noodle soup at home and just tossed in random toppings. I had corn, spinach, oyster mushroom. Definitely not a combo I see commonly. The soup was not bad, its drinkable, not salt at all. However its a bit odd to pair it with Hainan chicken, perhaps better with fishcake or meat balls, I did see a meatballs version. They do have other noodle style and broths to choose from, such as hot and sour, laksa. They do offer fish paste noodle if you want a teeny tiny bit more protein. Overall food is okay. It's nothing to rave about, even though I love Hainan chicken.

However, after finding out from one of my old coworkers that this was where she'd go to whenever she had cravings for her childhood favorites, I knew I had to check this place out...and come back to try even more! Ironically enough, while Ipoh's location makes them super convenient to get to (there's lots of street parking around and SamTrans, BART, and Caltrain are all a short walk away), their nondescript appearance can make them easy to miss if you aren't looking. However, inside, this place is great! The vibe is super cozy and they have tables for groups large or small. As for the menu, it's extensive and chock full of options, from staples like Hainanese Chicken, Laksa, Mee Goreng, Nasi Lemak, Char Koay Teow, and Roti Canai. With nearly 70 other appetizers, soups, noodle soups, vegetarian, poultry, seafood, beef, lamb, stir-fried noodle, rice plates, and desserts to choose from, though, that's far from all they have to offer! -- (#A01) ROTI CANAI - Malaysian Crispy Pancake with Curry Sauce I've had this a few times now (and still no photo) and it's been really tasty every time. The roti is flakey with a lot of layers to it and I LOVE the curry dipping sauce that comes with it. Definitely worth getting! -- (#NR01) CHAR KOAY TEOW - Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles with Shrimp, Squid, Bean Sprouts, Chives, Eggs, and Soy Sauce I've had this twice and I'm a bit torn. The first time, it was terrific - the noodles were cooked well, they didn't skimp on the seafood, and the dish was straight up delicious. However, the second time, the noodles were overcooked and the dish felt light on seafood. -- (#NR07) NASI LEMAK - Coconut Rice with Peanuts, Chicken Wings, Hard Boiled Egg, Chicken Curry Acar, Onion, and Chili Paste Ehh...this was just okay. The chicken curry was rich, the chicken wing was crispy and moist, and the rice had a strong coconut flavor. Sadly, though, the rice felt a little grainy/undercooked, the acar was really tart, and I wish the chicken had more curry. -- (#N02) LAKSA MEE - Spicy Red Coconut Curry Soup with Yellow Noodles, Shredded Chicken, and Mixed Vegetables Not the best laksa I've had, but it was one of the better ones and easily one of the heftiest. Not only was there a generous amount of chicken, but there was a ton of veggies in this, too. That said, it did make this feel like it didn't have enough noodles in it. -- (#D1) MALAYSIAN ICED TEA Not quite what I expected, but not bad either. I thought this was going to be more like a regular iced tea, rather than a milk tea, but at least it wasn't overly sweet nor overly milky. -- (#P01) HAINANESE CHICKEN with Chili Ginger Sauce A bit different from Chinese Hainan Chicken, but I liked this a lot. The chicken felt meatier, was far more tender, and it didn't have a bunch of bones. I also liked that they drizzled on some soy, but it did make it a little on the salty side. -- (#V03) STRING BEANS BELACHAN - Sauteed Green Beans with Garlic, Onions, and Malaysian Shrimp Paste Sauce To be honest, this was pretty unremarkable. On the plus side, the sauce on this was good and the string beans weren't overcooked. On the other hand, the string beans could've been blistered more and could've used more of the sauce. -- (#BL03) BEEF IN GREEN CURRY with Potatoes, Eggplant, Okra, and Green Beans Other than the choice of meat (I would've preferred chicken), this was great! While I wish the curry had been richer/creamier, it tasted spot on, there was a fair amount of beef, and it was loaded with veggies. Beyond the food, service here is pretty good as well. The workers are all really nice and happy to offer suggestions/help with the menu, the kitchen gets dishes out relatively fast, and I love that they don't really try to rush people to leave even at the end of the night. Since there just don't seem to be many Malaysian restaurants in the Bay Area, it'd be easy to say that Ipoh ranks among the best. However, the things I've tried have legitimately been pretty good. Nothing in particular may have amazed, but it's more than solid and I'd absolutely come back for their Hainanese Chicken, Laksa, and the first version of the Char Koay Teow I had!
