For how popular and nice this place is....I was expecting better! Inside is super nice (peep the cute menu picture). Cute decor, comfortable seating, and good lighting. Service was really nice and fast. The prices and portions are fair. Flavor was disappointing. My naeng myeon soup was too watery, it didn't taste like anything, there was barely any meat..., and the noodles were clumped together (see picture). It was pretty unpleasant and disappointing. The leek pancake had good flavor but could've been more crispy (didn't have much browning color). My husband's bulgogi soup was good, but nothing special. Overall it was not the best experience......if I come back I'll try the sul long tang but....not sure if I'll make it back...

The amount of meat in the Bulgoki-Bibimbap ( ) literally fits in one spoonful

I have been a fan of Han Sang as an alternative to Daeho in the past for the Kalbijim. However, this time we decided to try other dishes for lunch. The hubs ordered their soon tofu soup and I order the bibimbap. The food was that flavor wise, it was decent. The bad, and reason for low rating, is due to the portions and lack of ingredients. For $25 per dish, you would expect the same amount of protein, veggies, etc as other restaurants. We were shocked seeing how little beef and other ingredients were in our meals. Literally, the skirt of beef in my bibimbap was less than one spoonful. It was made up by increase amount of veggies either. I know inflation is causing everything to be more expensive, but this feels a bit ridiculous. We'll probably not return, at least not for those items. Perfects the noodle dishes and soups still have hearty portions?

Date of Visit: 4/4/2026 This is our second visit to the Korean restaurant in downtown Millbrae. We ordered the Combo Sul Long Tang $30, with white noodle with brisket, oxtail, tongue and tendon chunks. On the side there was green onion and pepper and salt to be paired with. Gal Bi Jjim $95 We also got the Gal Bi Jjim with extra meat and mozzarella cheese on top. There were good amount of braised beef short ribs, with rice cake, glass noodle, kabocha, radish and green onion. The service was good too. We have two babies with us and we were assigned to the window seat with plenty of space for two strollers.

We ordered the combo short rib/oxtail galbijjim and it was SO good! The regular portion was more than enough for 4 adults (3 females and 1 male). The oxtail was meaty and not too overly fatty. I would definitely come back for this! We also ordered the Kal Kuk Soo and it was super bland (it is supposed to be!), so I wasn't quite up to my taste standards. You are supposed to add your own salt and pepper to it and it comes with a dipping sauce for the meat. I added some of the sauce from the galbijjim to it and it made it so much better. The broth is super rich and full of collagen though! We pretty much packed the whole order to go because we were so full off the galbijjim.

Authentic Korean food!! Found this place on Yelp after coming back from Korea and this truly reminds me of Korea. The restaurant is very spacious and the servers are all so friendly. I ordered the galbi tang which is very delicious and fragrant and the meat just falls off the bone. The tofu soup is very good as well, it comes with two toppings of your choice! The Mandu is very delicious as well! Definitely will be coming back!!

Probably my favorite Korean restaurant in the Peninsula. Han San serves authentic Korean fare. My favorite dish to order here is their Soft Tofu soup with 2 choices of ingredients for the soup. I usually choose their rice cake and the beef rib. The soup comes on a wooden tray with small side dishes(ban chan) so it is literally a meal on a tray. The ladies who work here are kind and attentive. Seating is decently ample and this place does fill up quickly past 6pm on weekends.

Han Sang in Millbrae has been on my radar for a while and I finally made it out there with a group of friends. Safe to say, it was worth the wait. We came hungry and ordered our way through some of the most popular items on the menu. The cold noodles were refreshing and well balanced, the pancake had a great crisp to it, and the soup was comforting and full of flavor. Everything came out beautifully and held up to the hype. The service matched the food. Attentive, warm, and genuinely helpful throughout the meal without being overbearing. The space is cozy but accommodating for a larger group, which is always a win.

Another great meal at Han Sang. We had the beef short ribs w/extra meat plus cheese $100 and tofu soup $25 again. This time, we wanted to try the braised pork with vegetables $58. Service was awesome. The food tasted great. No wait on a Tuesday evening at 6pm.

I heard a lot about Han Sang in Millbrae before, a solid Korean place. And my experience was indeed really great, everything we ordered hit, there were no bad dish at all! I went around 8pm on a weekday and place was packedddd, but the service was impressive. All of our dishes came out all at one, within 5-10 minutes after ordering. What I had: Yuk hwe (beef tartare with pears and egg yolk): If you're hesitant about raw beef, please don't be. It's honestly just like eating sashimi. Wagyu meat was incredibly tender, sweet, and melted in my mouth. It was mixed with some kind of seasoning sauce and egg yolk, so savory and addictive I couldn't stop. Highly recommend you should try it if you can eat raw food Bossam: Great but I found it a bit too fatty (meat-to-fat ratio was like 50:50 ). My favorite way to eat was wrapping it in lettuce with garlic (extraaa), jalapeno, kimchi, and ssamjang. It also went well with rice. Big bite was super satisfying Galbi tang: Something we ordered to balance things out (2 previous dishes was just heavy), and it was a perfect decision. The soup was light, clean, and deeply comforting. Beef short ribs were super tender. I like to eat with a big spoon, ribs, rice, kimchi then dipped in the warm soup, perfect!!! I also appreciate that they serve complimentary warm tea, which was perfect for a cold day like today. Portions are generous, we had plenty of leftovers. Would definitely come back.

Gal Bi Jjim with extra meat and cheese

Solid Korean place, especially for the galbi jjim! Everytime I've walked by here, there is a line, but coming early (around 5:30PM) really does help. There is plenty of parking near downtown millbrae, with a few boba shops as well nearby. We ordered a Galbi Jjim with extra meat and cheese and a Dolsot Bibimbap amongst 4 people. It was more than enough for 4 people. The galbi here definitely is the star of the show with how flavorful it is. Level 1 spicy is perfect for my group due to lower spice tolerance, but honestly level 2 spice is the way to go. The meat was fall off the bone tender, and had multiple pieces that were all really big. They also don't skimp on the cheese, but it does come already torched. The Dolsot Bibimbap was pretty good, but I wish it was purple rice instead of white. They didn't give as much meat, and I probably wouldn't order it again since it was pretty average, especially for $45. If you like the crispy rice on the bottom, there was a lot and very easy to pick off. Service was a little slow and ultimately depends on your waiter. We had to manually ask for the side dishes since they took so long to come out. Oddly enough, they took my order within 5 minutes of sitting down... Would definitely come back to try their other dishes, but also wished they had more than just 3 sides dishes (radish, kimchi, and tofu strips).

Pretty nice spot at a good price point! Similar vibes and menu to Daeho, but less lines. I tried the Leek pancake and Chadol Sullongtang, and both were delicious! The broth is incredibly thick and meaty though, unlike other soups I've tried before. I really liked the radish kimchi!!

    Leek Pancake 3/15/26
    Sandy L.

Had lunch here with family today and it was pretty disappointing. The Kalkuhsoo broth tasted like watered-down soup with almost no flavor. Both noodle dishes had very dry beef brisket, and one of the mul naengmyeon bowls had undercooked noodles that were sticking together. Customer service was just okay, not great but not bad either. Overall, not a good experience. :(

    Colleen L.

Sharing a recent update. The food at Han Sang has remained consistently good throughout the years and I really love that they offer a set for lunch. Stopped by during the freezing recent weeks for seolleong tang and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend their lunch sets, you get your choice of soup, rice and some banchan for a very fair price (especially in this economy). Lunch time seems to be a good time to visit, it doesn't get crowded and makes it more enjoyable to have a nice meal.

I asked the owner if it was the same ownership as the South San Francisco restaurant, and he told me that location belongs to his brother. One thing I noticed right away was that everything came out at once. Most Korean restaurants serve tea and banchan (side dishes) first, followed by the main dishes later. Personally, I loved that everything arrived together because it made for a beautiful presentation and allowed me to take great photos of the entire meal. The meal came with eight side dishes: fresh greens, soybean sprouts, potatoes, fried tofu, fish cake, kimchi radish, kimchi cabbage, and seaweed. The variety was impressive, and each dish was well prepared. For our main dishes, we ordered the Galbi (L), Bulgogi (L), Seafood & Green Onion Pancake, and Cold Noodles. The galbi and bulgogi were both perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. They were well balanced, not too salty and not too sweet. The seafood pancake was a standout. It was wonderfully crispy with plenty of seafood. My only suggestion would be for the dipping sauce. It tasted a little too light for my preference. A sauce with more spice and a touch of sweetness and savoriness would make it even better. The cold noodles were decent, but the broth portion was a bit small, and the flavor was somewhat bland compared to the other dishes. As for the side dishes, the fried tofu was my favorite. The potatoes were delicious with a tasty sauce, and the greens were fresh and crisp. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the presentation was great. :)

Customary at most Vietnamese restaurants, you get your food with minimal check ins and not even a plate clearing until the bill comes. This was NOT the case here. There service was definitely in the A/A+ range! I ordered on my phone via QR code, but there was an option to order in person from a server. I ordered many items to try out. I ordered spring rolls, crispy salt and pepper wings, grilled pork banh mi, beef dac beit pho, and a Thai iced tea. Thai Iced Tea was pretty good. Grade: A I thought the Spring Rolls were decent, but what made them even better was the peanut sauce! I always hate when the peanut sauce is watery and this was far from that! An excellent gooey peanut sauce and maybe one of the best I've had fpr consistency. Grade: A- Crispy salt and pepper wings definitely had an incredible crunch. They were up there in crunchiness. The drumettes were meaty which I appreciated. They were well seasoned also. I think I need to try their other wings before crowning these, but some of the cruncheist wings I've had for sure. Grade: A- Beef Dac Biet Pho had some real high quality meat in it. I had options in noodle and my go-to for any pho spot is the egg noodles. I wish it had more bo vien in it, but I appreciated the combo of meats. The broth seemed authentic, but I wanted a tad more flavor out of it without adding sauces. Overall, the pho grade was a B+ bordering an A-. The star of the show was the grilled pork banh mi. The meat was tender and saucy. In fairness I asked for extra pickles and mayo, but I was very impressed. The bread had the crispy crunch we all look for but minus the stale bread. The breads soft yet crispness made it seem as if it just came out of the oven! I'm going to dub this as the best I've had in the Bay Area! There I said it! Grade: A+ Everyone who ordered the sampler seemed very pleased at other tables, I would definitely try that. Also, want to try the other banh mis and noodle options for the pho. There was a nice vibe at this place. I didn't feel rushed although they do close fairly early at 8pm. The server's mom is the one cooking in the kitchen and I appreciated the family feeling at this place. They do have a newer location in San Francisco that has a DJ Friday nights that I may check out. I believe the server said that they are open til 2am on most nights, but I may have misheard her. Feel free to Yelp that location.
