Treasure found, what a great find. My sisters and I were there last night and it was awesome! Everything was perfect, the location, parking, the decor, the service, the drinks, the food , the Irish bread and the dessert. We started off with drinks, shots, Irish coffee, happy drink and other suggestion by our friendly server, all were good. We had the sampler appetizer platter, wings, Veggies,potato skins, onion rings, cheese quesadilla and the best sausage rolls I've had in a while. We ordered entrees to share, we had the Cobb salad, fish &chips and bangers & mash, WOW, JUST WOW. We ended with the lemon tart, it made my mouth pucker is a good way. The Irish was so tasty we look home a loaf. So glad my sister found it and suggested we come, we will definitely return and enjoy this establishment for years to come. the service was top notch, all the servers were excellent, friendly and we received the best service. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is fun and lively. It was packed on a Friday night, with a good family-style vibe--felt like the kind of place you could grab a bite and a beer with your parents, even though I didn't see many kids. I only had the fries, but they were fire--definitely a good sign for the rest of the menu. They also nailed the Guinness pour--clean lines, creamy, and really good. We came for a Friday dinner. I didn't see the old tall waiter guy. I hope he is OK. The restaurant was sort of full with the Warriors game on every TV. We had Guinness and Stella beers, both are $8. The appetizer platter $25 is highly recommended. It is sausage rolls, potato skins, onion rings, wings and quesadillas. Although tonight, no sausage rolls were available. The waitress checked with us and we replaced the rolls with fried mushrooms instead. The fish and chips $23 were filling. It is rare, but I had to ask for a to-go box for the last piece of fish. The traditional Irish stew $23 was excellent. It is hearty with big pieces of beef and carrots with mash potatoes in the middle. Bonus, staff didn't have Irish accents. For a pub, it was actually really good. We ordered the fish&chips, stew and appetizer platter. Service was quick and the food came out quickly. They checked on us a few time. Really nice people. We needed a place to relax while waiting for our flight out of SFO, and this spot ended up being perfect. The bartender and servers were fantastic--super friendly and attentive. The food was just okay, which pains me to say. The corned beef was very dry, and we barely touched it, which was disappointing for an Irish bar. However, the fish and chips and the shepherd's pie were much better and more in line with what we expected for classic pub fare. That said, we still had a great time. We hung out, watched the NFL games, enjoyed some cocktails, and chatted with the locals. Bar was decent and female bartender we had a few months ago was fantastic and the food was actually pretty decent. Ambiance is nice, especially when it's full because people seem to be having a good time. The only reason why I've brought it down by 2 is the service we had the last 2 times. So, I'm not from Ireland but I have cousins that are from Derry (yes, I get that's Northern Ireland) and half Irish. My boss at work is from Dublin. Some of the friendliest people I've ever met. However, both times we've ordered from one of the bartenders/ servers, he was pretty unpleasant. He was definitely Irish from his accent. The first time, I understood it was busy and things can be taken unintentionally. We came several months ago when it was not very filled up and the guy was still pretty rude. We haven't been back since but I'm writing about it now as why we haven't been back. It's not really hard to have decent service in an area where it's a very nice neighbourhood with well- behaved patrons... either way, it's a pass for me unless the attitude issue is fixed. Came here on a chill Saturday afternoon and although the bar was full, we were able to snag a table in the back. Parking is very limited so i suggest circling around the block if you cant find anything right in front. Their draft beers are crisp and delicious. I was given the task to find a place for 22 people to dine and only had two days to make it happen. To my delight, the first place I looked was Fiddlers's Green, and Sarah answered the phone and made it happen! Sarah, to my delight, was also our server for the evening and was amazing! She handled the entire party of 22 all while serving other tables! Not a single mistake, as every plate of foid, every drink was placed in front of the correct person! Food is a little pricey, but at at least the server allowed me to have the child's size hamburger for my stomach is small. Very noisy for a Tuesday night was supposed to have a private room for our barbershop chorus but that did not happen so very noisy. Plus not enough servers to serve many customers, so getting our drinks and food was very slow, This was on the 9th of December also the women's bathroom needs toilet covers for the toilet and bars near the low toilet for seniors and people with walking limiations.. Otherwise ok for the chorus has gone the restaurant many times for drinks and fries after our rehereals every Tuesday nights for years. read more

me and my boyfriend went in around 6:40-7:00 and honestly it was terrible service and not so good food. we were served by an old short hair blonde lady , our check said her name was Sarah. she was so rude , we came from LA and she ruined our experience, we just got off the plane and we were hungry so we saw that this place had good reviews based off of food and service so we decided to eat here. she came to take our order and we ordered our app which were nachos and they were made poorly. it was basically a bunch of sour cream with a side of tortilla chips and very little of the other toppings. we told her were ready to place our entrees and she said no just the apps for now. our nachos got there and we asked for napkins and she responded with an annoyed tone and said " you have some right there" as she pointed to the one SINGULAR napkin that was under my utensils. after that we just wanted to leave , our entrees arrived and we got a cheeseburger and fries ( which tasted like carl's jr ) and then we got fish and chips and the flavor was just bland. we also ordered a coke which tasted flat but we didn't tell our server because she just seem annoyed anytime she had to do her job . don't waste your time here . read more

A fine Irish pub in the heart of Millbrae. Takes me back to the time I spent in Dublin, Ireland. The ambiance is cozy with lots of Irish momentos and photos displayed on the walls. My Nana and I ordered 2 cups of the split pea soup, the fish and chips & the chicken marsala, mash and veggies special. The split pea soup was served near luke warm. A legit hot cup of split pea soup would've been wonderful on a cool, overcast day like today. But alas... An epic failure on their part... The fish and chips were delicious, flaky and melt in your mouth good but it could've been hotter. It is served with fries and cole slaw. My Nana said his chicken marsala was good but he would not get it again. Drinks: 4/5 * Guiness * Smithwicks * Sprite Service: 2/5 Our waiteress was just ok. She seemed disoriented and lacked interpersonal capability and connection with her customers. She never checked if I needed a refill on my soda. And never checked on us once she served our entrees. I came in on a weekday evening for dinner. This place was recommended by the hotel across the street. My server Elaine was fantastic and greeted me so kindly. The sausage rolls and half order of bangers and mash was more than enough for me and I was able to take some as left overs too. I also enjoyed their soda bread but forgot to take a photo. When I come to Fiddler's Green we don't drink beer. We drink plain old fashion water to wash down Banger's and Mash or Fish and Chips, depending on our mood that is. Its a quick drive down the pennisula. It is kind of loud but that is to be expected because it is a pub environment. The service could be faster. Good, house made tartar and slaw. Fries are breaded type, extra crispy. Started the table with amazing Irish soda bread with warmed butter. Nice ambiance for a pub, not too dark and nice tunes in the background. One server for the whole room. She was nice enough but was just doing her job, no frills. Quick service and food out fast. Had some time to kill before I had to pick up Passengers at SFO and I wanted to go someplace for a beer and food and not be rushed. Fiddler's Green was just that place. When I first walked in I noticed several people at the bar which is where I wanted to sit but then I saw a long communist style table and sat there. I have never been to an Irish pub in Ireland or anywhere else got that matter so I didn't have much to go in except for what I have seen TV and this seemed pretty close. I looked over the menu to see what authentic dishes they had and I was not disappointed; Irish stew, shepherd's pie, fish and chips, bangers and mash and corned beef and cabbage. There were other things too but I was in the mood for a burger. A very friendly food server with the cutest Irish accent took my order (the Murphy Burger) and a beer. I really did not have to wait long at all, it was served so fast. My burger came with whst they called Irish bacon which seemed like a thick piece of bacon on top of my burger. It was the type of burger I was looking for. I was able to eat And drink without feeling rushed. The server checked on me a few times but never felt rushed which was important to me. Perfect spot for St Patty's Day. Our group of 5 got here at about 6pm and the place was packed. They said it would take awhile for a table but we only waited 30 to 40 minutes. We were able to get drinks and wait so it wasn't so bad. Service was great. It was like a well oiled machine. Someone took my name down, a person guarded the door so people couldn't go into the fully packed place, someone took our drink order and brought drinks out quickly. Our server Heather was really nice and attentive. We sat in the back room and had to share our table with a guy who was alone and waited 40 minutes himself. We didn't mind sharing. He was friendly so it wasn't as awkward as it could've been. The only odd thing is that no one asked us if it was ok to seat him with us. We turned around and there he was pulling out a chair. My Corned Beef & Cabbage Chronicles started with Fiddler's Green, an Irish pub with an extensive Irish menu served by a cool Irish lassie. Though I'm useless in the kitchen, I never have trouble procuring the best eats for my get togethers. I wanted the traditional dish for this year's St. Patty's Day shindig, so my fellow taste tester & I ordered a small portion to try ($18; regular portion for $25 looked to have three pieces of meat.) Not properly seasoned & the corned beef's texture was tough & dry because it was so lean. Needless to say, I didn't place an order for the party. What I did order to-go was a loaf of their bread with dried fruits for $8 after tasting a couple of slices at the table. I would've purchased a loaf of Irish soda bread had that been available, as well. Both absolutely delicious slathered with Kerry Gold buttah. My dining partner & I also had an Appetizer Platter ($24) of onion rings (omg yum), sausage rolls, potato skins, chicken wings (which I was told were good), & pepper jack quesadillas.
