Three Coors Lights and a Bulleit Bourbon neat for $20. It's cash only, so bring your dolla bills. The women's bathroom stall is very tight. A quaint Irish pub that I have been to with my friends several times (they are regulars). The lady who owns the place is really warm and cordial. This place used to have charm. A couple of years ago, there were two younger staff members (maybe around 20s or early 30s) who made the experience fun and welcoming. They're long gone now, and unfortunately so is the good energy. The older woman running things now has a knack for killing the vibe. My lemon drop came out with Sprite in it (which is not how you make one), and when I asked if it was carbonated, instead of a simple, "Oh, next time let me know," I got, "Why don't you say something?" The place itself is still cool, but the service is not. There are plenty of other spots with good drinks and good energy,this just isn't one of them anymore. read more

Pleasantly surprised about this pub. I am not a pub gal. But they have a very cute patio out back, a long bar inside with extra seating, and a long open window to sit at in the front. This is a cash bar, and they don't do anything fancy. There is an ATM if you don't have cash. They do have upgraded wines (Meiomi Pinot for example) at bottle price only. Maybe $45? It wasn't bad. Love this place. Great location, always has sports on the TVs, an outside patio, wide variety, and nice bartenders.

Well first off if you're going there for food, you're not gonna be satisfied they might have some chips but that's not why you come here. You come here simply for the atmosphere and the great prices on drinks and mind you this is cash only. They do have an ATM there and there are several ATM areas there in the area like a chase bank in a Wells Fargo. Please come in prepared don't order your drink and expect them Lady at the bar to hold your drink for you forever. They didn't have a live band or anything they did have a jukebox on the wall and the place got pretty crowded and it's in a well lit area very safe area. The day I saw what look like 28 year-old girls walking down the street by themselves without an adult that is a safe neighborhood. So many Uber drivers dropping people off and picking people up like I said the area is very charming. It's very small, but very nice. I would suggest having the espresso martinis. read more

We were slowly dying after the red eye from Honolulu & decided we better get out walk around. Stumbled upon this gem in Burlingame & made fast friends with Julie. What a great lady. When we met the owner GiGi (prob not how you spell it but that's what my littles call me & that's how I spell it) we knew we were in a true family owned friendly Irish pub. When I first moved to Burlingame I tried to find a nice place to have a couple of beers. After I tried out a few places I wasn't impressed until I finally found Behan's, which also happened to be the closest pub to my home. Another patron said he did the same thing. He tried a few other bars until he found "The Mothership", meaning Behan's. The service is excellent. I never had to wait to be noticed to ask for a drink. The Bartenders are always on top whether it's a beverage you want or if it's just to ask a question about where to find what around town. And, the kindest people ever! Several TV screens to watch sports or other events like Academy Awards! There's a nice garden patio with fire pits and heaters when it was cold, and a big TV screen as well. The clientele is a mix of all ages and the locals are super friendly. read more

Bar tender completely ignored me and my girlfriend for like 15 minutes. The pub is dead 5 total not including us at the bar. I stood right in front of her and asked for a drink. She continued her conversation with the locals in the bar for another 5 minutes before pouring. I decided to have a seat. She then poured the drinks and left them a few seats down from us. I got up went to them and asked if they were ours she nodded. She was quick to come ask if I was able to get the cash from the atm as soon as we had one drink. Feel like a locals only pub. Being a redneck from Texas, I am always looking for a local dive bar to drink a beer or three. Flying into San Francisco and staying near the airport, I did not expect to find a bar that suited me. Man, was I wrong. Behan's is a genuine Irish bar located in a neighborhood a few miles from the airport. The customers are all from the neighborhood and appear to have been coming here for years. The bar had bar seating for about twenty and another dozen or so tables. The bar and bathroom were clean. They have about ten beers on tap, a bunch in bottles/cans and a full bar with a good selection of whiskey. The bartender was all business with me, but was good at getting drinks out quick. Who wants a friendly bartender who tells you his name and shakes your hand in a good old dive bar... If you are ever staying near SFO and can't stand another hipster, brewpub, you can do no better than Behan's. Highly recommend. And...they only take CASH. read more

Long bar with stools, a few older TV's, all the booze you can want behind the bar counter, 8 beers on draft, one of which -- Guinness [$6/12 oz glass] served ice cold...really? According to Google/Wiki: Cellar temperature means about 50 - 55 degree F. Unfortunately, most draught serving lines are going to be optimized to serve at 38 degrees F. That's the temperature at which the American macro-lagers are best served. But this is an Irish bar, can't they serve it non-American. I'll pass if invited back. read more

I cane here to meet up with some friends for a drink before heading over to the Shabu House. Relatively small place and seeming more like a dive bar instead. Quiet and mellow when I arrived on a rainy Sunday evening. Place seems to be a locale to getaway to and drink your sorrows or hide from someone. I had to wait awhile before actually getting helped and when I did get help it's a cash only institution. Had a Jameson neat with a IPA back and left. They don't have food but recommended a local restaurant a few doors down. So we left ordered and was pleasantly surprised we got free delivery at the pub. pretty cool place, I ran into some people I haven't seen in awhile here. I've been wanting to check out Gus and Patti hosting karaoke for awhile now. Karaoke happens here every Sunday and starts at 9pm. Gus has a huge songlist I'd suggest checking out. It gets pretty crowded with singers for karaoke. They have a lot of the songs I like and then some. I like a karaoke host that has a lot of unique random ones to choose from. The bartenders are great , I had my drink in no time. I'm in this dizzy haze coming out of the Sharks game -- a friend sends me a text right when the Sharks scored 4 points; "You want to meet for a drink in Burlingame at Behan's?" So my lack of common sense might have stemmed from one of these things; (or perhaps all) 1) The Sharks WON! 5-2 .. you go boys! 2) Having my *boy-goggles* on watching men play hockey 3) I'm getting a free pizza at Round Table 4) We're pushing the clocks back an hour So I take the 40 minute drive up to Burlingame, catch up with a good buddy, have a beer, and enjoy the atmosphere people watching. When I lived in Burlingame this was my haunt and I miss it dearly even with all the places to go to up in the city. Shuffle board, darts and the every amazing karaoke sundays. What's not to like? The drinks are as cheap as one could hope for and the bartenders are all friendly assuming you aren't a pompous a$$.
