Delightful little place I had not heard of before, but I was looking for a place where my brother's…read moredog could join us and they have a lovely patio out front that was perfect for this. It is right on the main street so it's a little loud out front there, but it's very clean, organized, and the service is great. I was very surprised to find that I was charged $.75 for cream in my coffee, but also I noted that the coffee was just $3.25 so I don't mind paying four dollars, just surprised. We got there shortly after they opened and we were very delighted to learn we could order breakfast or lunch. I saw a Dutch baby on the menu and had to go with that. It was beautiful and well put together with butter, powdered sugar and fresh blueberries. The taste was quite eggy - I would probably not order it again My sister-in-law had a Cobb salad that looked pretty good. She seemed to think it was fine. My brother had a club sandwich on a bagel and broccoli/brisket soup. He said the soup was very good and the sandwich was all right. I did get a chance to go in inside and was very impressed with their restroom which included a mouthwash station, which is always helpful. Everything was very clean inside.

I ordered the Beaver Dam with cheddar and mozzarella for pickup. When I stopped in to grab it I got a chance to look around and this place has a fun, neighborhood vibe with a bar, seating and games like pool and darts that make it seem like a good hangout spot. The food was excellent. No frills, just tasty. The bread was perfectly toasted, the cheese was gooey and satisfying, and every bite hit the spot. After so many disappointing meals on the road, I was refreshed to have something so simple that was so well executed. It was exactly what I wanted. I found myself slowing down just so that I could savor every bite and by the time I finished I was seriously considering going back for another sandwich. If that doesn't tell you how good it was. I don't know what will. They absolutely nailed it and if I lived in the area, I would be here all the time. If you're looking for some good simple comfort food at a welcoming local spot, this is the place.

We ordered a pizza and my friend got the all you can eat pasta pizza soup and salad. And by all you can eat I mean you can serve yourself salad but good luck getting the pizza pasta and soup. She got her pasta after about ten minutes. Not too bad right? Wrong. The soup she ordered came about 50 min after ordering. The pizza I ordered? Waitress came over 40-45 after being seated asked what she had forgotten and then put the order in for my pizza. For all you can eat and the only self serve being salad you'd think they'd visit the table more often. We were there over an hour and she made it to our table to order, drop off pasta, come by 30 min later to ask what she'd forgotten and then drop off my pizza 20 min later. We had kids to pick up from school so I had to ask for a To-go box as she brought the pizza. We were there over an hour and I didn't even get a chance to eat because it took that long. Another 3 min wait standing at the register waiting for her to come back to the front of the restaurant to pay. Waitress was kind but my god the service was abysmal. The food was mediocre at best. Would not recommend at all.

But, if you go, we have to realize that it will be slow. A couple of us love liver and onions so they do serve that. Being asked how you want it isn't something I've been asked before. Last time it was bleeding and this time it was nearly burned so take your pick.... The country fried steaks are huge and they are good. We ran into problems with the mashed potatoes though in that we were told they were out and it would be another 20 minutes. Well 5 minutes later here come the plates. We were surprised obviously. However, the mashed potatoes were cold and a little on the runny side. That was pretty poor. What did they do ... just add milk to stretch what they had? No idea but everything went back in the microwave. I'm thinking this is it. No more. The good thing is that there is a lot of competition out there.

The French dip sandwich was so good, homemade bread was amazing. The au jus for it was so salty I thought I was gonna OD on sodium. Same thing with the chicken noodle soup.
