Scythe brewing is a really cool place. It has quite the Western vibe going, and reminded me a lot of Rawhide in Scottsdale. The private parking lot has many parking spaces and is easy to maneuver. I came here to see a band, and while there was a party of 26 there for an anniversary celebration, it was still possible to see the band (albeit from a long distance). I get the idea that a lot of the patrons there are regulars, as most seemed to know the staff and vice-versa. Many in the party of 26 (of which I wasn't a member) engaged me in conversation, and made me feel like I was part of the celebration. This was REALLY cool, and seemed to be the vibe of the whole place. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The food was also better than expected (with the exception of the packaged saltines served with the clam chowder...they were stale beyond belief). The soup itself was good, but not great. The steak bites were cooked to a perfect medium, and had a wonderful bark, making for a very enjoyable meal. Portion size is big. I'm looking forward to my next trip, which will likely be the next time the band plays there. read more

Came here around 2pm to a very empty brewery. Both staff members that were at the cash register were on their phone and didn't have a great attitude to someone else coming in. I ordered a mystery beer flight which was very delightful, however took quite a while to get done when there was just one other customer in the brewery who already had their drink. I have been here a few times and most other times I have had a very good experience, but not this time. It's a very cute spot but unfortunately it made me feel not very welcome coming in again which might be the last time I come to this establishment. Twice my server stopped pouring my drinks to help another customer, and after that customer had left her overall attitude changed and was more friendly. Not quite sure how to feel about my experience. read more

On our way home from Oregon we decided to check out this spot. Beer was not bad, menu was not up to date so ordering beer was a little annoying. The venue itself was really modern and cute. A lot of parking and the food looked good (didn't try any). Decent spot in a small town. read more

Scythe Brewing seems to be the new brewery for the Longview and Kelso area. Set up is pretty nice and fresh looking. Beer here isn't too bad. Not the most memorable for sure but enjoyable enough. I tried their Cold IPA, Pilsner, Hazy Pale Ale and a Porter and a few others from a taster flight. In the end I think I liked the pilsner the best. The food is what slides this place into four stars . I had Cauliflower Tacos with a hot honey on it. They were very good and flavorful... especially with the hot honey. I got the hotter variety. Service was good and they can their beer so you can get it to go. For t shirts... they were out of stock on a few sizes but I eventually found one I wanted and an XL is what I went with which is a size that works for me. read more

The tuna fish and chips and the cruban are our favorites!! So good!! Service is variable. We've had decent service and awful service. I guess it depends on the day. The ambiance is pretty cool but the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. The food is always good though! read more

Best meal I've had in that town in YEARS! I got the SW chicken salad, delish! My dining partners got the clam chowder (excellent!) and the burger (fries were a little greasy) but the beer was good, they had wine for non beer drinkers, and the service was great! read more

Loved the gf and dairy-free accommodations! Friendly and helpful servers. The fish in my fish in trips was cooked a little too long (it was really dry) but the southwest salad was flavorful and the gf/df grilled cheese was the best I've had! Gluten free! My husband has Celiac Sprue & cannot have any gluten. We rarely get to share food, especially at a brewpub! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We had so much we were able to eat the next day at the hotel. We live up by Seattle and will definitely be stopping any time we are near Longview, WA. Also, I drink reds and ambers mostly, and tried various beers and literally loved every single one of them. So good job, Scythe Brewing! Loved the interior. A couple of fireplaces to make it feel cozy, even though the space is huge. It was pouring rain outside. read more

Okay, so this is my third time in.. first time I had an amazing night. Second time in bringing my family was HORRIBLE!! Tonight, was stellar!! My kids had an excellent time, my husband was happy, our food was delicious. There was music. But most importantly the staff!! Whatever is going on keep on this whirlwind cause you will succeed! This is a great, newer brewery with some great and creative food and drink options. The atmosphere is really casual but welcoming and there is a patio for nice days. I've been several times and have never been disappointed. The wedge salad is ridiculous- it's huge with all the right toppings on a possibly overly generous portion of crisp, cold iceberg lettuce. The Cruban is a whole lotta goodness - blending a Rueben and a Cubano, arguably the two best sandwiches around, into one perfect bite. For drinks - their beer is great, with lots of taps and variety to choose from. I always enjoy a lighter IPA and they have a few that fill that bill. For cocktails I would just head straight to the Blunderbuss with Sazerac rye, Prosecco and lime- perfection in a very tasty glass. read more

Anxious to take family and a friend for their first visit to Scythe. Went Dec 5, seat yourself, no problem. Waited over 20 minutes for any attention. Nothing, no "be there as soon as we can," no acknowledgment we were even there. So we left. Seriously disappointing because this place could be wonderful. Not sure if I will return. read more

Stay away!!! I come in for lunch a few weeks ago and ordered the poke. I got serviced the worst expired fish. I had to run into the restroom to puke. And when I brought this up to the waiter, she said yes "I believe you, we had the same issue the day before." I had to wash my mouth out with whiskey. After almost dying from there fish they still had the nerve to charge me for the whiskey I washed my mouth with. read more

Second time I've been in. Thought I would give it another try since they are new... the first time the food had absolutely no flavor... I can cook better at home. The second attempt I order the oysters of the menu... which claimed to be " extra small" were huge!! I didn't eat them... I love smaller oysters... was totally deceived!! Beer was good, place looked awesome. Menu looked great. We ordered the steak bites, pulled pork sandwich and a bowl of clam chowder. Everything was so over salted it was inedible. At the end they saw none of us had touched our food and asked if we wanted a to go box and we declined, explaining that the steak, fries, and sandwich were all so salty that it was impossible to eat. $120 for food that ultimately went in the trash. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because we did enjoy the beer. read more
