The wings are no longer jumbo sized, but still the same inflated price. This was my main reason for going there, all the other food is pretty basic crap I could make way better at home. The wings were the best, and now they are the same freezer burned back of the Walmart aisle garbage served everywhere else. It's unfortunate. Giving four stars for certain reasons. The Shammy used to be pretty fun and it is one of the only bars with a pool table, which is awesome! But it's become a very old person bar. Still a ton of fun, and you always run into some people from high school or whatever so it's great! I've really only ever gone at night time and on weekends, and it's always been fun for a few, but then it hits a point where it's time to hop to the next bar. If you're looking to make friends or anything, it's not the Shammy. I tried breakfast for the first time here on Saturday night and it's another partial reason for my 4 star. My step dad & I met up with my brother and his two friends (who already ordered/got their food) and then we both ordered. My dads food came, then I watched 3 other tables get food.. and I got confused. We finally asked and the guy said he never put it in.. no apology or anything, just said "I'll put it in now". Not mad, was just a little disappointed by this cause I really like most the tenders at the local bars in Longview. Anyhoo, typically always a great time. Love that there are two pool tables, again, because it's really one of the only bars with pool. I would definitely recommend checking it out. (: read more

Have been going for years and the service tonight was absolutely the worst. Our waitress was rude and very, very unattentive of our table. We tried to joke with her to lighten the mood but she was not having it. Needless to say with help like that they will loose customers. Very disappointing. They're always amazing and really friendly when I come in. They always have wonderful recommendations. I haven't tried a single thing on the menu that I didn't love. This place is a gym in Longview. The portions are extremely generous and worth the price along with the amazing quality. If you haven't tried this place you should. I recommend it to all my friends and family. Don't listen to the clowns with the one star reviews. They're a bunch of joyless dorks who probably give businesses bad reviews over the most minor inconveniences that aren't even the bars fault (such as patrons not liking other patrons.) I've been here on several occasions and the food is always good and fairly priced, the drinks are great, the staff is super friendly and diverse, and the vibe and decor are fun and warming. Sometimes stuff takes a little time but patience is a lost virtue these days. If you want something at the snap of your finger's you shouldn't be going to a sit down restaurant. There's a pool table which is nice. If it's a decent day outside they have outdoor seating to suit your fancy and if you would like a little privacy there's sort of a nook area inside. Great place. This is my favorite tavern, amazing drinks that are well made. They are delicious yet appropriate in alchohol content. This food is of excellent quality and large portions. They can get busy at times and may get abit overwhelmed trying to serve everyone but they work very hard. It is generally speaking very clean and can get abit loud. Best tavern in town! read more

I like this bar. I usually get the Juicy Lucy . which is great. My wife and I went there for a meal with another couple, To say the food was terrible is not enough - it was close to uneatable. The hamburger patties were cooked to the point where there could have been for hockey pucks. The potato chips were cooked way beyond being enjoyable. I told my companions that the Ruben that I had rated a 3 out of 10. Maybe it was the regular cook's off and someone who didn't know how to cook took their place. I hope that whoever manages this bar, gets their act together and starts produces decent food. As for me, I'll not being going back. I wish them luck. read more

This is a lot of night shifters stop after work. It's always enjoyable and usually the staff is great. However, even with the large crowd that is there practically every morning, they still only have one staff member for the front. With that being said, your wait times are quite long. I always feel bad for whoever is serving in the AM by themselves when you have a large group come in at 0700. But they're good is delicious and so are the drinks. Came here during St. Patty day and boy! The vibe was definitely NOT welcoming. My husband and I walked in, after having dinner, to grab a drink before heading home and everyone who was everyone were staring. I overheard one person say "great more colored people!" I like this bar. They have big plasma tvs with different sports playing. They also have 2 pool tables. We had the blue cheese burger. AMAZING! i am not usually a fan of blue cheese but the flavor it's not overpowering. The salad was good too. Good selection of beer also read more

It's hard to screw up a BLT, but this place managed. It was dripping with mayo, just completely smothered in it, and the lettuce was chopped into tiny pieces and fell out of the bread. A flavorless mess. My companion, a friend who was visiting from out of town, orderd fish & chips. They were awful! As if they had been dumped out of a an industrial frozen box. Flavorless, dry, hard. I was so embarrassed I brought my friend to this place. Shabby looking and smells musty on top of it. I moved to Longview 3 years ago from Portland, and I have learned something valuable. We stopped in Longview on a bike ride from Seattle to Portland. It was late and the dinner choices were limited. We were initially skeptical about Shamrock (and their bud light sign in the window) but we were pleasantly surprised once we walked in Good beer - Mac n Jack, Manny's, Deschutes Seasonal, Ninkasi, to name a few Decent food. We got there so late that the grill was closed and they could only make fried foods =) Their tater tots were amazing! Super hot and fresh, and tasty. Chicken wings were also great. Lightly battered, super fresh and juicy. Not very spicy at all. Nachos were good, too. Fish n chips were ok. Big space. They had a few pool tables, and a lot of bar space and a lot of tables for seating, too. It was a Saturday night and the place was almost empty, but the service was good, servers were nice...overall very pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely go back there again. read more

We were looking for a local Bar and Grill for a good beer and food. The other reviews sounded like this was a good bet. It wasn't. We knew when we walked in, but I wouldn't listen to my wife. The atmosphere was drab, old an d dinge. The beer selection would have been better at some franchise. The food was awful. We ordered the most expensive items on the menu. Prime-rib and Seafood combo. The seafood was NOT fresh, the rib was fair, but overcooked from the med-rare I ordered. The final straw was when the cook delivered our food with gross filthy latex gloves on. The restrooms were gross, as well. Com,on restaurants at least have clean restrooms. The waitress was friendly, and very nice. Lisa, please go find another place to work. read more

This is a locals tavern. Went to Bob's sporting during an out of town hunting trip and stopped in to get out of the rain and watch a football game. The place is sports oriented, pretty good food at very reasonable prices and good cold beer. Like any local place....if you are friendly - the regulars will reciprocate. Especially enjoyed the staff as the service was friendly and prompt. Large crowd (I hear) for Monday Night Taco's (2/1.00). I would definetly stop there again. read more

Definitely a locals place! Great people watching. Okay... so this guy comes in and sits down at the bar. Without a word spoken- the bartender grabs a can of suds from the frig, puts a paper napkin in a Styrofoam cup, and places these items in front of the new arrival. I watch. I don't see him take a sip for 20 minutes. Then the beer is finished in, I swear, two gulps. I leave 20 minutes later. And he has never touched that damn napkin or Styrofoam cup. read more
