I just realized we haven't updated our review in four years - so - We need to go back and update menu photos too. Hopefully the prices are relatively the same. When we walked in this evening, Triangle was packed! They had football games playing on multiple screens, and as usual, the crowd was lively and in (mostly) good spirits - depending upon how their team was doing. We ordered the mac & cheese bites, and I'm going to suggest that you *never, ever order them - *Especially if you are on a diet - they are stupid good, and hard to resist! Mr. wonderful ordered the Sourdough Patty Melt with tots and of course - left nothing on his plate. I had the BLT. Only complaint - fries could've been crispier. Everything else = perfect. I spoke with Linda who was our server this evening (she was fabulous even with the crowd and chaos) and she confirmed that I can order *crispy fries, so - I'm thrilled! Let me start off by saying how happy I am that I found this place. I was only in town for a day and had a bit of a break for dinner. I did some searching for a good burger and the Triangle Tavern popped up and I'm so glad it did. I ordered the Classic Tavern Burger w/ American cheese and bacon w/ tots. Damn. What a great burger! It was cooked perfectly and not overdone. The buns were toasted to perfection. Nice and soft on the top with a crunchy bottom. Everything came together so well. I loved it. Heck, even the tots were great. They weren't heavy and dense or overcooked. They were light with a fluffy center. Everything turned out so well. The food is good, definitely on the high side of bar food. Some of it's homemade and I've never had bad food, but I do feel like it's expensive for what it is. The drinks are the same way. After being recommended from the awesome people at The Office 842 my wife and I had to check this place out. The ambiance is that of a classic tavern or pub. The service was fast and incredibly friendly! This place was very helpful in substituting the meat for eggs on the sweet and savory for me as I am a vegetarian and my wife got the epic hangover helper. The hangover helper was just as awesome as everyone says and the sweet and savory was the perfect start of the day combined with two hot chocolates. When I first walked the staff here was kind of rude. Especially the bartenders, they seemed preoccupied with talking to people and not really tending to the customers. When I didn't know exactly what I wanted when the bartender asked she seemed thoroughly annoyed with me. There isn't a bar in the area with better service! The staff hustle and try to interact with all customers within what appears to mere minutes of walking in. A true sports bar with many TVs playing live events. There's also a newly covered outside area with built in propane radiant heaters to take off any chill. While it's not gourmet food (definitely above average) it's not too far off with a solid menu that has a good variety. Parking can be a challenge at times but it only adds a few dozen more steps if needed. read more

Ate here a few times, seems to be the same ole thing. Food is 7/10. My GF and I ordered to share a 10pc boneless wing, and side of fries with cheese, and a chicken sandwhich. The bartender/server was by herself, it was a tuesday, 8pm. You would think they would have more than one person working. There were over ten other people/couples dining as well. We sat. Our beers came quickly. It was completely down hill from there. The food was good, compliments to the chef. The bad experience was all from the service. I got another beer, I ordered something different this time, she brought me the same as the last, yet charged me for the different beer I asked for. ?? We sat for 20 minutes after we finished our beers and food. I tried to ask her about my beer but she kept walking. During our food, never got silverware (had to ask for them) or water. She nevwr returned to ask how the food was either. I couldn't get her attention to swap out my beet or get another for my GF. Lost money. I said thank you as she gave me my bill, and again as she returned my receipt. .yet nothing back. No thank you, or anything. Will not return anytime soon. Again, decent food at a good price. I came in to town to visit some family recently. As a Dallas, Tx resident and bartender, i have a lot of experience with bars and restaurants. As it being my first time in the area, i was honestly blown away with my experience. Jake was AMAZING! Got a seat at the bar quick and was suggested the pretzel fries. Was the perfect thing to snack on while i had one of the best old fashions I've ever had. There was such a welcoming atmosphere so i stayed for some snake bites and another old fashion. Waited an hour for our appetizers (chili cheese fries were frozen crinkle cut fries with canned chili poured over them), and then another hour for our entrees. Asked 3 times for ketchup; it was finally provided when my onion rings were ice cold. New, hot onion rings appeared in 2 minutes, which made me wonder why it took so long for our other food. The portions were great for the price and the food was amazing in taste. We used them again for delivery to the office. Nothing special. U-Dub is in an old, small, dark building with what appears to be people's old kitchen tables and chairs. Our server was very nice and on top of things, she was by far the best part of our experience. But expect a loud and cramped atmosphere. read more
