The was a a great dining experience. Food was fresh and hot. The ground beef taco wasn't dripping with oil, thank you. The chicken was nicely seasoned. Used the lettuce and tomato fallings from my taco as a topper to my burrito. The rice was fluffy. The beans I didn't care for they have a sour taste or something I couldn't get past. Amazing food, service, and ambiance. My husband got a $50 gift certificate for helping a neighbor so of course we had to try it out. I wasn't sure what to expect for Latin food. Let just say YUMMY! I had the Rigo's Bowl (see pic). My husband had the chimichanga and enchilada combo. I had a bite of the chimichanga and it tasted so good! (Almost buttery???). They have a great cocktail selection and of course free chips and salsa. I also ordered "chunky avocado" for the chips. A little spendy but it tasted so good. Overall I give 5 stars because we had great fast service and the food was delicious and the bill was not overly expensive. Yup! I'll be back to share with family and friends. read more

Joined a group of local ladies for enjoyment of the Happy hour menu, which is 3-6 pm. I had the taquitos & an iced tea, along with the tortillas chips & salsa: 2 large taquitos, appx 2" in diameter were served atop lettuce & topped with cheese. The taquitos were obviously freshly handmade with an outer layer of crunchy tortillas deep fried & loaded inside with tender shredded chicken in red sauce & cheese inside- delicious! Being last to join the group, I was disappointed that the server took my order yet failed to notice that I needed utensils & a napkin; I had to ask The iced tea was just ok, kind of weak in flavor. And once again, I had to ask for a tea spoon to stir my drink after adding sweetener, which never came, so I went to the utensil/napkin station to help myself, but a different employee stepped in & provided me what I was wanting. The service was also slow when asking for more salsa. Despite the slow service, it was a good visit & I plan to revisit in the future. read more

This is somehow my first time visiting. While it was for a party, I still feel I have enough information gathered to complete this review. Let's begin with the food. I ordered a rather typical combination of two chicken enchiladas, and wasn't exactly disappointed. While they were fairly small, they had incredible flavor and were extremely high quality. It was around the same price as your average restaurant, but higher quality with still a filling portion size. Almost everyone I know who has eaten here has loved it. I will mention that, this establishment is trying to be a bit higher end with its menu offerings. Don't expect too many of "the usual" items. (They have some to fulfill the desire, but it's rather small. They sell cactus here!) That may be due to the service, which was absolutely incredible considering our party filled up three rather long tables. (I think it was the entire upstairs?) I never got a water or drink refill, but the workers dealt with a lot of difficult orders. It was like they'd done this for decades, and this amount of difficult orders were simple for them. A small amount of easy orders! They were friendly too, they felt like we'd been going for years and had a rapport with them. I'm a little torn on the atmosphere. It's mostly not that bad. However, there are a few potential detractors. One portion feeling juvenile, the other portion feeling leftover from Teri's (or whoever the last tenant was.) Nothing ruined the ambiance, but it wasn't exactly up to par, or my personal expectations from what had been described to me for the last nearly year. This building is spacious inside and out, which is evident just by driving past and quickly glancing. There will be plenty of parking and seating. Kind workers and high quality food are complemented by a spacious location, that more than make up for any potential real issues you may have here. I highly suggest stopping by and making a decision for yourself. I am a VERY slow eater, and sometimes can only finish the main part of my meal. Here, I ate EVERYTHING and FAST! I'd say that if future visits continue to go this well, it'll earn that 10/10 rating from me. read more

You just have to try a new restaurant and especially since it's close. It's a latin grill but we call it a bit of Mexican food. The parking lot was full and I do mean full. It's a large lot but hardly a place to park. We were apprehensive about the wait after seeing all the cars. Considering the group, we were seated pretty quickly. We were also thrilled to see the changes to the interior of the restaurant from what was there in the previous establishment. Next time we're hoping to rate one of the new booths by the window. Our server was excellent. He was constantly checking on us and taking care of our table. Plus, he was polite and professional. We also loved the food. Can't believe the couple of reviews with 1*. Between the four of us we enjoyed fajitas, enchiladas and burritos. We were all very happy with our dishes and really liked the presentation of the food. We will be back! Wow, I just happened to be on this side of town, when I noticed that the restaurant had changed hands. Walking in, I was thinking to myself, this is not going to be cheap, the restaurant is very inviting and comfortable. I was greeted almost immediately and seated. I decided to order a combo with a Chili relleno, and a Chimichanga. Now I grew up in San Diego and I spent a lot of time in Tijuana, Tecate, & Mexicali, and I can honestly say this was by far the best Chili Relleno I have ever consumed. The rest of meal was great too, but the Chili Relleno won me over. I'll will be back just for that alone. The staff was friendly and attentive, I'm really glad I stopped by. I really wanted to like this place, but wow, this was just awful. I contemplated leaving when the server brought the chips and salsa. Chips were bulk bin and almost stale, so gross. Salsa was worse, so watery it would hardly stay on the chip to make it to your mouth. Decided to stick it out and ordered the Quesabirria and Ceviche. What was served was a pot roast quesadilla and cooked shrimp w raw onion swimming in lemon juice. This food was not good or what was ordered but I was hungry so took a few bites. The quesadilla was cut and stacked on each other and every piece underneath the top two had essentially no meat in it. So not only cooked wrong, but skimped on meat. Great. The ceviche was the biggest disappointment. It doesn't just become ceviche because you take ingredients and douse them in lime juice when someone orders it. The juice needs to cure them. The tostadas served with this dish were also bulk bin, cheap, almost stale. This was our second time eating from this establishment. The first was very nice, this one was iffy at best due to the cost and portions. We order two main dishes and an appetizer (chunky guacamole). For $10 we got maybe 3-4 tbsp. Could not believe one could be so small. We called to issue a complaint to the manager. Didn't get even an apology and offered nothing but an excuse, "this is an appetizer". The taco combo was just fair as was the chicken burrito. (Not much cheese rice or beans). I had the Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos and both were excellent with lots of flavor! The chips and salsa were good and my Cadillac margarita seemed like it was lacking but still decent! Accidentally found this (on yelp), and boy what a find!! It seemed a bit off the 5, but well worth it! The outside was so welcoming--fun strings of lights, a red carpet entry, foot-tapping music! All of the wait staff was super friendly. The managers were hands on and helping out everywhere. It was incredibly busy but we still got thoughtful attention. Drinks were delicious! I highly recommend the chemoya margarita on the rocks. (They will even get you a to-go drink or unfinished drink!!!) The food was so good! Even the rice and beans! Loved the beans! All of our dishes were so yummy! Even the bathrooms were clean and tastefully decorated. I loved the songs for the special occasions for people, the "shot planes". And, the people who work there seem to really like working there--so positive! We will make special trips just to come back! Thank you for such a great experience! read more

Hostess was rude. When seated, we asked if we could sit at a little bigger table. I was on the bike and had my gear to set by me. She told my wife and I that those tables were for larger parties. The ambiance can best be described as noisy. We had a ground beef burrito and chicken cazuela with molé. The burrito was mushy with very little texture; the ground beef inside had too much sauce. The food and drinks were amazing! We tried quite a few things off the menu- the ceviche, seafood soup, molcajete, aguachile ribs, and the asada plate. The seafood was very fresh and cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious!
