I got takeout here, when it was just me. I didn't order ahead, but walked in. The woman at the cash register was friendly and got my order in right away. She told me the wait would be 10-15 minutes and closer to 10. I ordered chile relleno with beans & rice. It came with chips & salsa, some of which I ate on the way home. They needed salt big time. But better too little than not enough, right? I unpacked my dinner upon arriving home. It was all reddish brown in color-nothing green in the order except for the chile, under the batter and scant sauce. The container was quite large so I guess it slid around inside because, as you can see in the picture, it didn't travel well. The taste was very mild and Americanized. It was fine, but not outstanding. The portion, when I transferred it to a real plate was very generous, and filled my dinner plate up. So don't let that fool you when you see the picture. Will I go again? Probably not. It was just to mediocre. read more

Los Pepe's has very friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant is decorated with carved wood chairs that are painted with bright beautiful colors. The service is fast and drinks, chips and salsa were delicious. I ordered the trio enchiladas which is a perfect option for someone like me wanting to taste them all. They were all 3 delicious! My favorite was the chicken. My husbands grande burrito was just what you would expect. Full of all of the fixings. Prices are fair and in line with the quality of food. This is my favourite Mexican restaurant in Woodland.. I love all the colours they use for the restaurant, they blend so nicely, and it always has a nice mellow feel to the place. We usually sit in the bar, and they're always so pleasant to see them and the customer service is fantastic. The food is delicious, they have this incredible Habanero salsa... oh man... I live in Phoenix where we get good Sonoran Mexican food on every corner. This food was average. But I gave them 3 stars because their prices are decent. I took out the order but my brief time in the dining area revealed a bit of shab. The service was good, the food was ready when they told me it would be. I asked for habanero salsa that I saw on someone's review but the waitress said they didn't have any. The most disappointing part of the meal was the bland salsa. I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas, equally bland. But it's hard to find good mole. The chips, rice and beans were excellent. read more

We had dinner at Los Pepe's in the Vancouver mall on 6/9/2022. We have visited a few times over the years, we are locals. The food as always was delicious. But, the thing that will keep us coming back, and recommending Los Pepe's to others was the outstanding service by our server, Sarah. She was very personable, polite, and efficient. This was the first time I visited Los Pepe's, and I was in for a treat. The people there had us seated and chipped and salsaed right away, and they were friendly and pleasant. Literally, I loved the people there. And I am picky about service. The food came in a reasonable time, and it was great. And plentiful. We have a Los Pepe's near the house in VancWa and we enjoyed the place. On this occasion the Wife, the Tax Deduction and I were up In Woodland for the Tulip Festival. Smaller, fewer people and more intimate than the whoring out of the Tulip in Woodburn, Oregon, we had our fill of wooden shoes and vivid colors and heading for lunch. Funny thing is we didn't recognize this place as the same Los Pepe's we have in Vancouver. Once we walk in the chairs and look of the place immediately told us we were in the same place just 25 miles further up the road. So much for something new and different, but we knew it would be good, so we stayed. Maybe in hindsight that wasn't the right choice. However it all started well as chips and waters came to the table along with a sneaky little salsa that was largely acceptable to us (we don't do really hot stuff) but every now and again you'd get something pretty hot in there. That's no reason to deduct stars, I'm just sayin'. that's all. We ordered the Tax Deduction the kids chicken quesadilla, the Wife opted for a chicken taquito appetizer and I went for the shredded beef flautas. Now, I want to explain that we were a little disappointed in the menu as there was no children's listings, you have to ask. There is no lunch menu and no lunch specials they one menu and one set of prices for lunch and dinner. There's a star off. My iced tea and the Wife's Coke came pretty quick, the Tax Deduction stuck with water. Now, to the waitress's credit she fitted a lid over the glass so it wouldn't spill among 3 year old fidgeting. This came in handy. Soon the Tax Deduction had a hearty plate of quesadilla heading his way, but it was a hot plate. For a kids meal? To waitress's credit she brought a cool plate for us to transfer food on, but doesn't it seem odd to even subject curious little fingers to a typical Mexican place hot plate? Soon the food came for us, and the flautas and the taquitos looked almost identical, each cut into small sections lining the edge of the plate. Only difference was mine had beans and rice and the Wife's just had guacamole and sour cream in the middle. Odd to get a taquito in a fried flour tortilla and flat. It tasted alright though. About this time as the waitress brought refills for our drinks we started to get a terrible glare from the sun off the vehicle windshields parked in front. No blinds were there to come down either, we played musical chairs with the Tax Deduction but the Wife could get no relief and eventually put on sunglasses. The cloud cover made the problem intermittent and we just dealt with it. Then we waitress started with the questions about if we needed a to go box, if we were alright... we were feeling rushed. As this was going on I had shared some shredded beef flauta with the Wife, she complained about pepper, black pepper. The Wife is highly sensitive to pepper and if she says there is pepper in something you can bet your last dollar it's in there. As I got into my meal I did notice the taste of black pepper. This is not a known spice to me in Mexican restaurants and it made the meal taste a little diner-ish. It was OK mind you, not great, not bad, but that coupled with the rush job made me a little edgy. The Wife went to the restroom and came back with a look on her face that I knew meant something was weird. I asked about the bathroom not really expecting a review but she talked about how the woman's room was a square room with two toilets and NO partitions, just two toilets, a sink and get this, a chair. So someone could spectate? What the heck is up with that? It proved too much for me to ponder and it just solidified my plan to not visit the men's room. All in all it was a little surreal. I don't think we will stop going to Los Pepe's at least near the house though. they treated us well and we remember that. We will remember this place too... may not go back, but we will remember it. read more

Not sure why and really am disappointed that we seem to sit unattended once our food is served. She was wonderful and offered great service! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and ate all of it. Not shabby. There was a lot of shrimp. Hubby got the chicken mole and liked it. He's had better. The beans and rice were a bit bland - as was the salsa. Nothing was spicy in the least which was kind of a bummer. We ordered the zombie which was made with bottom shelf rum - normally I'm not a liquor snob, but it was pretty obvious. I expect this style for an all inclusive resort, not a restaurant.
