I'm going to say one thing this is the greatest restaurant you will never go to. And not Mexican I'm just saying overall it is that good. I noticed a comforting ambiance that instantly made you feel welcome. The tables and chairs are custom and extremely well made. To this day I haven't seen a better mood or chairs or tables. And on top of it the pride that is instilled through there family shows with their name on every plate. You're going to get a meal that people actually take pride in because it's who they are and it's what they do. I'm going there today now that I'm talking about it. Taco Tuesday delight! Another good Mexican restaurant with all the best selections. It was a little slow on a Tuesday evening as we walked into Los Pepe's. We were immediately and warmly greeted and were able to pick a booth by the window. There was "Mexican Pop" music playing making the atmosphere welcoming and authentic. It is the most disappointing restaurant I've ever been to! Food is lifeless and prepared with wilted vegetables. Hot food is tepid at best. Service is spotty and nonexistent. Will not go again. Los Pepes has always been my favorite place to eat in Longview. At the old location, the food was great, and the servers were friendly, cheerful and efficient. At the new place, across the street, the food is still great, but the servers are slow, lazy, unfriendly, and disinterested in doing their jobs. I don't know what happened to Los Pepes when they made their move to the new space, but it's lost all of its charm. There are many good Mexican restaurants in Longview who are happy to see people come through their doors and try to make the dining experience a pleasant one. On top of it the waitress wasn't very friendly and seemed annoyed with us, which was just myself and girlfriend. The waitress I believe should have asked if I wanted a soft or hard shell taco wgich she did not. I've eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed my meals and the hospitality but not this time. I called in a order to this once likeable resturant @ 7:03pm for dinner to go for 3, it was a hot day, so we only wanted salads. On the phone the order taker said a couple of times we are really busy, so it'll be 45 minutes to a hour before your meals are ready, so I was there at 8:30, giving them plenty of time to complete our order! I walk in tell them I was there to pick up the order, and they informed me they threw it out! I was speechless! And they almost didn't let me reorder our food! But reluctantly they reordered the food. But added 3 to-go fees @ .95 ea. And $15.75 for a dinner salad basically, when we ordered a chicken Taco salad and 2 Carne asada salads! We got a couple strips of beef on top of the dinner salad, and the chick taco salad was dried up chicken and a little lettuce in a shell!​ They didn't put in our order no dressing, no sour cream, no guacamole! About 4 thin slices of beef & 3 or 4 ends that we grissel or fat! Again speechless! Called to find out why the crappy salads and was told don't order from them again! So that we won't ever again!
