Taco Tuesday delight! Another good Mexican restaurant with all the best selections. It was a little slow on a Tuesday evening as we walked into Los Pepe's. We were immediately and warmly greeted and were able to pick a booth by the window. There was "Mexican Pop" music playing making the atmosphere welcoming and authentic. It is the most disappointing restaurant I've ever been to! Food is lifeless and prepared with wilted vegetables. Hot food is tepid at best. Service is spotty and nonexistent. Will not go again. Los Pepes has always been my favorite place to eat in Longview. At the old location, the food was great, and the servers were friendly, cheerful and efficient. At the new place, across the street, the food is still great, but the servers are slow, lazy, unfriendly, and disinterested in doing their jobs. I don't know what happened to Los Pepes when they made their move to the new space, but it's lost all of its charm. There are many good Mexican restaurants in Longview who are happy to see people come through their doors and try to make the dining experience a pleasant one. At Los Pepes the servers and greeters treat customers like they are an imposition. Something happened to the employee culture at Los Pepes, and it's obvious everyone there hates their job. I believe this may be my new favorite Mexican food in Longview. Husband had carne asada street tacos, my son had childrens chicken burrito and I had chicken mole. All of it is very delicious. Service is horrible! Waited 10 minutes for drink order to be taken and there was only one other table occupied in the place... took forever to get our food order. Waitress rolled her eyes when I asked her for a different glass since mine had a crack and was leaking out onto the table. I ordered a #8, which was an enchilada, tamale and a taco. It had no sour cream and guacamole as their dishes usually do. The tamale tasted like children's cherry cough syrup. On top of it the waitress wasn't very friendly and seemed annoyed with us, which was just myself and girlfriend. The waitress I believe should have asked if I wanted a soft or hard shell taco wgich she did not. I've eaten here a few times and have always enjoyed my meals and the hospitality but not this time. I called in a order to this once likeable resturant @ 7:03pm for dinner to go for 3, it was a hot day, so we only wanted salads. On the phone the order taker said a couple of times we are really busy, so it'll be 45 minutes to a hour before your meals are ready, so I was there at 8:30, giving them plenty of time to complete our order! I walk in tell them I was there to pick up the order, and they informed me they threw it out! I was speechless! And they almost didn't let me reorder our food! But reluctantly they reordered the food. But added 3 to-go fees @ .95 ea. And $15.75 for a dinner salad basically, when we ordered a chicken Taco salad and 2 Carne asada salads! We got a couple strips of beef on top of the dinner salad, and the chick taco salad was dried up chicken and a little lettuce in a shell!​ They didn't put in our order no dressing, no sour cream, no guacamole! About 4 thin slices of beef & 3 or 4 ends that we grissel or fat! Again speechless! Called to find out why the crappy salads and was told don't order from them again! So that we won't ever again! This is my go to Mexican sit down restaurant in the are. The food is reasonably priced and always good.

Im not sure of our servers name i want to say her tag said Erica, she brought over stiff hard tortillas i let her know and she said "that's what i get for giving you extra" so she was upset i let her know the tortillas she brought over where bad, because technically in her eyes they where free lol make it make sense, after that she would pass us by and not even acknowledge us, a different server came im guessing she refused to continue serving us! This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I have gone here 4-5 times and all of those times I had a great experience. Food tastes great and the drinks are amazing! I love the seafood enchiladas and the 7 mares soup. I have also had the barbacoa tacos which impressed me. From the beginning . Server approached the table with an attitude. Took out her frustrations on the table. We came in ready to spend some money and take care of the servers. So for starters, their salsa is the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant. I had a Pina colada. That was really cold. I got an ice cream headache, but the flavor was delish! I had Pollo Loco. It was very tasty! The location of this restaurant is on the main drag of Longview. Inside, the restaurant is decorated with the usual Mexican decor. The prices on the menu are mid-range.
