Joined one of the local lunch ladies group for a Happy Hour trying of foods & beverages. The interior is comfortable with lots of seating options: booths & tables of various sizes. There are lots of TV screens for various viewing options. We seemed to have arrived at a time of less wait staff, as we had only one server until nearing the end of our gathering when another assisted. Granted, how much advance notice was relayed to the restaurant of our groups plans is unknown, so please consider giving them as much advance notice as possible of group dining, I'm sure they'll appreciate it. Just a FYI: the lunch menu ends at 3pm when Happy Hour begins & followed by, but of course, the dinner menu. As for my food: I ordered the Baja fish tacos of which was cod & I chose grilled with corn tortillas & a side of beans & rice. My food did come fairly quickly, where as not so for others in the group, of which one of the last items that was brought out for the lady I sat next to was a Cesar side salad with ranch dressing Logically thinking, I would've thought to be something brought out first Each one of my tacos were served on one of the small street size corn tortillas. I immediately pondered that, but tried eating one anyway & just as I thought, it immediately fell apart. I quit eating my tacos & asked the server for regular size corn tortillas, which did come out fairly quickly. Unknown to me at that time, I should've also asked for more lime slices, as the 2 on my plate were dry & did not release any juice. The pieces of cod were small but tasty: appx 2" wide x 3" long. The toppings were good: a fresh avocado slice, a little slaw & a drizzle of sour cream. Had they been served on standard size corn tortillas to begin with tho, they wouldn't have become deconstructed. The beans & rice were standard, which I commonly put a lot of salsa on. I asked 3x for more salsa to no avail, so finally one of the other ladies passed her unused dish of salsa to me. My neighbor lady wasn't eating her salad & asked for a to go box for it. I was curious as to why- she said the ranch salad dressing did not taste good & encouraged me to try a little from the serving cup: it had an after taste that made me question it's freshness. Some of the other dishes served looked good as well as the Happy hour beverages & a dessert or 2 ordered. Overall it was a good visit & I would like to try this restaurant again in the future. read more

We went to have dinner for my mom's birthday and arrived at 6:45 and now at 7:45 left after we were seated then ignored. People who arrived substantially after us and were sat very close to us were getting beverages delivered to their table while we were waiting for any server to acknowledge us. Employees continuously walked past us and completely ignored us. The prices are high and ambiance is clearly trying to be high end, and a garbage experience was given. 0/5 A decade ago this was my family's favorite place to get dinner together. At this point none of us will return. Our last visit, my vegetarian sister was given meat in her meal when she asked for non and specified she's a vegetarian. The time before that we were charged three times for a single side of sauce. We are kind people and tip generously. This place is just a nightmare of a business. read more

First time visiting. Staff is so nice and welcoming. Queso dip with added taco meat was really good, a nice flavorful and creamy queso. We tried the birria tacos and fish tacos . I really enjoyed the birria taco, the meat was delicious and lean. Fish tacos were good, a bit lighter on the breading would have improved the taco. The family we came with have been several times and never had a bad experience. I do recommend eating here when you're in the Longview area. read more

Stopped by here for lunch after cutting down our Christmas tree this year over at Ferncrest Farm. Overall I think this is a solid 3.5 stars, big open clean space, friendly service, and decent food. The only reason it is not 4 stars for me is the price. Sure it's a generous portion of beans and rice, but my seafood chimichanga was fairly small in size for being over $20. The chips and salsa were good, refills were frequent and their margaritas (even a medium size) are huge! A good and filling lunch if you are in the area. read more

Manager that I spoke to by phone after being overcharged on my birthday (Cinco de Mayo)! It WAS my go to place for 3 years on my birthday. I went elsewhere this year, 2024. I was charged for appetizers we didn't order and tipped accordingly on the total. I left the waitress a generous tip as I always did, being my birthday. Since they were so busy I did not call them till the next day. I believe I spoke with the day shift manager on May 6th 2023 about this. I was told that since I paid with cash there was no way to prove I was overcharged! I worked in hospitality for many years and was dumbfounded at this persons NON effort to fix the problem! Like I said, I worked in hospitality for many years in this response was not professional. There wouldn't have been a problem if they kindly would have said we'll give you a coupon for an appetizer or something to that effect. Since they made no effort, I chose a new Mexican restaurant to celebrate my birthday this year on Cinco! That's myself and a guest each Cinco de Mayo (atleast) that the Guadalajara lost! The place was great to catch up and have a low-key celebration with my newly graduated friends and I. I had a margarita, another cocktail, and the zesty calamari which added up to around $50. There have also been a couple parties that have been hosted here that I've been a part of, so it's definitely great for bigger celebrations too. On drinks and appetizers: The tortilla chips and salsa were on the house, but don't hesitate to order the chunky guacamole. I was a big fan of the chunky pieces of avocado and tomato in the guacamole and the balance of zesty and savory flavors. The calamari could have used more time in the fryer, a bit more seasoning, and a bigger serving. The drinks were very tasty, everything one could want in a margarita besides a beachside view - although, they were a bit on the spendy side (and there's not even a beachside view!) The service was nice and attentive, the restaurant was clean albeit a bit busy looking, and all the workers practiced wearing proper PPE - which is highly appreciated. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup. Worse I have ever had. The chicken was long rubbery strips without flavor. I had to dump half a cup of their salsa to give the broth flavor. This place is a terrible place. Several lies and tricks. First it's not Guadalajara it is actually a Margarita Factory. Second the menus prices are deceptive. The menu says add 1 item each, on the combo. They charged me a dollar extra for each item. There was no $ next to the 1 and the waitress never explained the additional charges. The food was just ok. My brother said this is the best Mexican place in town and a favorite of some of his friends. Though the parking lot looked busy there was plenty of room to park and to be seated. The servers were very pleasant and helpful to our group of 5. We were comfortably seated and promptly served chips, salsa and water while we looked over the menu. There were more choices and variety than I expected to see. The salsa was on the tbin side with a bit more spice than others I've tried, but it was still very good. I'd recommend the Guacamole appetizer if you have a group since it is large, very filling and delicious. Everyone was pleased with their selections and we had a few boxes left over. The fajita for two could easily feed 3 or 4 people. The proportions on most of the dishes were very generous. I'd say the prices are a little higher than other places I've visited, but that wouldn't keep me from coming back. Looking at the drink menu I was impressed with the number of margaritas and other drinks there were and especially liked the idea of the Margarita sampler. I've been going here for years, and the food has lways been really great Americanized Mexican food. I used to buy salsa here regularly, and when I lived in Vancouver for a few years, I would go to Jorge's Margarita Factory for salsa. It was my favorite place to grab food with friends and I went once every week or two until I had bits of a steel scouring scrubber in my food and the manager brushed it off saying, "mistakes happen." and didn't even apologize. Had I not been paying attention to my food, it would have caused serious internal damage. That's when I broke up with Jorge's and Guadalajara. I now only go when I am invited to a gathering there and lways voice my opinion of recommending a different venue. In recent years, the prices have skyrocketed at all locations, and the decor changed to be very gaudy and unappealing. The food remains consistent and well prepared. The drinks are also consistent and have nice presentation. In my opinion, everything is now wildly overpriced and for an establishment that says it is all about family, my personal experience showed me that they don't truly see their loyal customers that way. I'm still giving it four stars because their food really is well made. read more

Nothing here is grilled. It is not a local restaurant, It is a pseudo franchise of the the Margarita Factory. Assembled Food Items: Tostada was a 6" pre-packaged cold, hard corn tortilla with shredded lettuce from a bag, tomatoes from a container, beans from a container and shredded ,unseasoned, lukewarm chicken from the freezer, with about 1 TBS cheese sprinkled on top. One quarter cup of sour cream blobbed on the top and one ripe avocado sliced into six slices served on the side. No onions, no olives, no seasonings. No hot sauce on the table either. I call this type of food 'assembled' not cooked because it is obvious that no hand has touched this food other than to shake it or dollop it onto the plate. Companion had chili colorado with flour tortillas and black beans. Black beans from a can had no flavor. Meat was not cooked well enough. Companion who orders chili colorado frequently when out says this is one of the poorest he has had. Bait and Switch? Restaurant is called Guadalajara Grill and Cantina but it is NOT! The menu and promotional materials on the table were all branded "MARGARITA FACTORY" and the HIGH PRICES! . My measly tostada was $14.50 and came with no rice or beans. Companion's chili colorado with beans only was over $20. Warm, unsalted, ultra thin chips with a quarter cup of salsa came to the table immediately. It was quite a while before we got to give our drink order. Water came to the table with TWO PLASTIC straws in Each Glass! The decor was very dark and felt kind of gloomy/icky although our table (faux darkish grey marble formica) was clean. The ceiling is shiny black plastic tiles with crystal chandeliers. Tables are formica with vinyl seating for the booths. Silverware is a knife and fork rolled up in a napkin. Six signs on the wall announced "Voted Best" but it was from something small, like a local small town newspaper, not by someplace credible like TripAdvisor. Servers wore mask and were polite and reasonably attentive. I regretfully passed Mary's Bar and Grill whose parking lot was full for this place because I like Mexican food. Lesson learned: stick with a place everyone likes even if it isn't you favorite food type. read more

The food was not very flavorful and when asked for refills we didn't get any. I Can understand if they were busy but even then then it was extremely unprofessional. My husband and I love coming here. We have been there enough that our server knows what we are going to order. It is nice to go somewhere and and be able to have a conversation with the staff like old friends. They make us smile and laugh. Our favorite servers and Wendy and Anai. They take very good care of us and so does the rest of the staff. They are always asking if we are doing ok, if we need anything. The food is very good!
