Elk Burger on a GF bun. Served with a side of potato salad.
Anna L.

I have been here twice now with my boyfriend. This place first caught my attention by having gluten free options and a full parking lot nearly every time I drive by. I am really glad we gave it a try. I ordered the elk burger with a gluten free bun and potato salad. Also, we ordered a side of steak bites that were cooked very well! The burger was cooked very well to my preference. The bun was good for being gluten free! My martini was perfectly made. I've only been here twice, but each time have been impressed. Service was friendly and quick with each visit. We will definitely be back!

Still a great place. Never any complaints about Porkys. Highly recommend. One of our favorite places. Staff is always great.

California Chicken Club with yummy Avacado!!!! Side of coleslaw.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile! Seated quickly and my server was upbeat and friendly! She helped me with my order and I was happy with the California Chicken Club! I love the music, it's upbeat and not overwhelming. I'd like to make this a place to keep coming back! I reframed from getting dessert because I'm full, next time I'll leave room for the carrot cake or yummy coconut cream pie!

Grab a pint of one of their many beers on tap

It was Tuesday, we entered around 12:15, two of six tables plus bar seating were empty. The bartendress verbally greeted us and told us to take a seat anywhere. She gave us menus and glasses of water. We proceeded to watch her tend to the 4 tables of customers on her own. We waited about 10 minutes before she came and took our drink and food order. By this time there were 5 tables of customers. We soon realized that she was the only employee tending to the venue, saw no cook in the back. Took 20 minutes to receive our ordered drinks and 35 minutes to receive our lunch. I ordered the brisket tacos and my spouse ordered the salmon tacos. From our observation as she prepared our lunch, everything came out of a refrigerator and reheated. On her way over to our table she realized she forgot the small side of chips that came with the tacos. The brisket was nothing special and had no flavor. My husband enjoyed the salmon, however no smoked flavor. By the time we received our food there were only 2 tables of customers and the other tables sat dirty. A couple came in, came to the bar and stood for about 5 minutes before the sole employee could address them because she was busy with food prep. A woman with a laptop sitting at the bar suddenly got up and began busing the dirty table so the couple could sit down. Please not she made no contact with the new customers. I realized then she had something to do with the venue as she was talking with the employee about a supply order. As a former restaurant manager I truly understood keeping labor costs down, but this was lunch time and she sat at the bar the entire time we were there and did nothing to assist this sole employee until she looked up and realized all the dirty tables. Food prep, order taking and busing during lunch hour was left up to individual. The sole employee was friendly and delivered great customer service. If I was in town again, this would not be a place I would return to. Maybe weekends there are more personnel on duty. Providing lunch service with one person is questionable but not my decision to make, as a customer I wasn't impressed.

When I stopped in to grab it I got a chance to look around and this place has a fun, neighborhood vibe with a bar, seating and games like pool and darts that make it seem like a good hangout spot. The food was excellent. No frills, just tasty. The bread was perfectly toasted, the cheese was gooey and satisfying, and every bite hit the spot. After so many disappointing meals on the road, I was refreshed to have something so simple that was so well executed. It was exactly what I wanted. Our server was very attentive and told us how all the ingredients were locally sourced, which is very good to hear because we like to support local businesses. So Bad It Was Almost Comical…read more My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our drive from Oregon to Seattle. The parking lot was completely full, so after circling around and eventually finding street parking, we figured the place must be popular. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the high point of the experience. The main restaurant was fairly full, so we were seated in a large, dark bar area in the back. And then... nothing happened. For more than 30 minutes. Eventually, a waiter appeared and took our order. Then another 30+ minutes passed before the food arrived. Somehow, even our iced tea didn't make it to the table until the food did. All told, we spent roughly an hour sitting at an empty table without so much as a beverage, and about 90 minutes from the time we arrived until we actually had food in front of us. At that point, the whole experience was becoming almost comical. We ordered a cod burger with fries, a Caesar salad, onion rings and an iced tea. The cod burger was okay. Nothing memorable, but edible. The Caesar salad was actually good. The fries, however, arrived cold, soggy and thoroughly greasy -- quite an accomplishment considering how long we waited for them. The onion rings apparently embarked on a separate journey altogether, because they never arrived. By then, we'd lost the will to ask about them and just gave up. The grand total for one cod burger with cold fries, a small Caesar salad and an iced tea? $40.00! We mentioned the long wait, forgotten food and other problems to our waiter. He was sympathetic and explained that they were short staffed, which we understand can make things difficult. But being short staffed doesn't make a 90-minute lunch, no drinks for an hour, cold soggy fries and forgotten food any less disappointing -- especially at those prices. By the end, we weren't even angry. The whole thing had crossed over into comedy. Needless to say, on future drives between Oregon and Seattle, we'll be finding a different midway lunch stop.

Found Fort George right down the street from our hotel and they had a black bean burger on the menu (whooo!) Headed over for a late lunch/early dinner at 3 pm. You can choose from the wood fired pizza section upstairs (I believe they take reservations) or the pub downstairs (first come first serve) which has a few indoor tables, some semi-outdoor tables that are well covered with a roof and glass sides, or a fully outdoor beer garden with covered and un-covered picnic tables. You order at the counter and then pick your table, they'll drop off the food to you. We opted for the black bean veggie burger which came with pepper jack cheese, guac, some Aioli, and a side of fries. It was very good and exactly what we were craving. They did have a vegan chicken sandwich that looked good but instead I went with a side salad with poppy seed dressing. The salad was fresh and so delicious and the dressing was perfection! Also did a side of hummus and veggies. The hummus wasn't fresh/home made, rather it was from a local place (I believe) and was pretty good. We didn't have their beer but they did have a large selection with varying ABVs and types (the fresh hop IPAs looked extra good); however we didn't see any non-alcoholic options when we looked. We had the ice tea which was fine as well as a Lüp, which was a sparkling hop water, it was pretty good. They also have a gift shop with shirts, hats, beers, and more. They had four (!!!) different types of aged barleywines - we regret not getting some to bring back home. Everyone working was also welcoming, friendly, and helpful when I had a few questions about the menu. Would recommend and we'll come back the next time we're in town !

They have 2 floors, a bar on each floor, an outdoor courtyard area, and a barn area in the back with two bars and a stage. We caught a live show and thoroughly enjoyed it before driving back home to Seattle. We also hung out in the courtyard, enjoying the large caged wood fireplace, before heading to the barn for the live show. The service was excellent, maybe because they weren't too busy that day, and we entered upstairs, not downstairs, since street parking wraps around the building and, depending on where you park, you'll enter at different parts of the brewery/restaurant/warehouse. We were seated right away and got seats near the windows to enjoy the sunset. We ordered: Shrimpy Bread-this was tasty, but the teeny tiny frozen shrimp they use were not it. I'm thinking even normal-sized shrimp chopped up really small would have been tastier, but also, if you live for that shrimp flavor, this will be your jam. For me, the lemon flavor stood out, and combined with the cheese, it made it so worth it. Yum. Wood-fired pizza-half almighty and half carousel - this was omg, chef's kiss, perfect to share between the two of us. If we lived in Astoria, we could see ourselves coming in for this combo to take home. Really liked the decor. It felt very brew house, with wood throughout and lots of windows for ocean and neighborhood views from up on the hill. Also noticed folks from all walks of life here, families, couples, tourists, locals. It was a nice, casual vibe. We'll be back next time we're in the area :)
