Its been awhile since I've eaten here and I forgot how great it is! Like seriously the quality is amazing, you get so much food and the price is good. We got the family meal C just for the two of us and it was so good, so much variety and plenty of food for us. I'm obsessed with the bbq pork and no joke the egg roll was the best one I've ever had. We also got an extra order of bbq pork lo mein which was sooooo good! Highly recommend this place! read more

When we walked into the very bright colorful beautiful building, we were greeted by a host that told us we could sit wherever we'd like the place itself is a little darker lit, but very spacious. The lighting is more like a lounge and relaxing atmosphere. When we arrived, it was around lunchtime so we got to enjoy the lunch special and the prices are very good. Best Chinese food in town , always good. Favorites are the triple crown, green bean combination and snow pea pod combination.

I had been wanting to try this place for a while, good asian food is hard to find in this area. The building is old but seemed clean. The servers were nice and I was happy when I saw reasonable menu prices. We ordered the mar far chicken, pork fried rice, chicken sub gum and Szechuan pork. It also came with egg flour soup. The best part of all of it was the Szechuan sauce. The soup was chicken soup with egg, no sesame oil or any asian flavor. The rice had not a single piece of pork in it and was old. The mar far was unseasoned frozen chicken bites. The pork was dry. The sub gum was frozen flavorless vegetables. While the prices are good, paying $21 for this food didn't feel like a good deal considering none of it was good. read more

I ordered multiple dishes to go. When I ordered the sesame chicken, the employee asked what sauce I wanted... ummmm... I looked confused and asked what sauces I had to pick? They replied that I could pick a a sauce, which I was then explaining the sesame chicken sauce. They said, oh okay we will give you the most popular sauce... it was NOT sesame chicken at all. We ordered Mongolian chicken spicy. Nothing resembling Mongolian chicken was prepared. This is probably the "okayest"Chinese food that I've had. We ordered the vegetable chow mein, pork fried rice, barbecued pork, and the tofu vegetables. The tofu vegetables were really good! The vegetable chow mein was lacking the fabulous noodles that make chow mein, chow mein! They do provide some fat crisp noodles to add but they didn't work for us. Chinese food is usually fabulous left over. Kim Bowl's, not so much. It was a congealed mess. See photos. The pork fried rice has that old pork after taste like it's been in their fridge for a week and finally got used up. $30 mistake to try this place once and will never be back again. This food was absolutely delicious! I'm from the south so most places do not impress me here but this place was incredible.

Best Chinese I've found in the area. I ordered a combination plate and nothing on it disappointed me. The shrimp was crunchy and not doughy, not greasy either. Sweet and Sour Pork was excellent, soft and easy to chew but crispy on the outside. The sweet and sour sauce was great, not too sweet. I also had broccoli beef and that beef literally MELTED in my mouth, it was so tender. Great job on everything! We will be back! read more

First time trying Kim Bowl. I ordered Crab Puffs and Singapore noodles for takeout. The crab puffs were more crunchy than crispy but flavorful. The Singapore Noodles, vermicelli noodles with shrimp, bbq pork, carrot, celery and onion had a nice curry hit. I would order them again. Overall, service was friendly and the food was tasty. I used to frequent this restaurant before Covid and it was OK generic Chinese food. Now that Covid is here there are many Chinese restaurants in the Cowlitz county area that have became very lazy and do not have a high standard of food quality. The owner lady works out front and in the kitchen and knows what's going on. The sweet-and-sour pork was satisfactory but it did not have enough sweet-and-sour sauce and the sauce was OK but it was old sweet not Sauer meaning no vinegar. The pork fried rice was disappointing because it had only specks of egg in it and no pork mixed with the rice. There was way too much breading on the shrimp making them look bigger than what they were. In this day and age with the GMO's and peoples specific diets less is more when it comes to breading. The chicken chow mein did not have hardly any chicken in it. Just a little few shaved pieces of chicken on the top not mix throughout the small box and had plenty of water with no chicken flavor or corn starch holding The food together. The quality of food is just as bad as Panda Express, traditional Chinese American fast food. I personally will drive to Kalama to the Lucky Dragon from now on to get high-quality food even if it is a few more dollars it's worth it. I recommend that the owner lady takes a trip to Kalama to order some food and has her cook train in Kalama with the high quality service down there. This is the second time I have given this business a chance during Covid and I am very disappointed. Fire your lazy cooks because you're going to get more reviews like this. Shame shame. read more

My favorite place for Chinese food! Great food and excellent service. Alice is almost always our waitress and she is friendly and takes a minute to talk and ask about your family that she has known from previous visits. Gone are the days of ordering Chinese and expecting to get two full meals out of one combination plate though. On a recent visit, I noticed that the portion sizes have shrunk dramatically. The prices are still low though and you still get more food than you can probably eat in one sitting, but probably not enough for an entire second meal. No more leftovers for lunch the next day! The food is delivered quickly, and is very hot and fresh tasting. Love the fried rice, the chicken lo mein and the egg foo yung! They have cheap lunch and dinner specials. $6.15 for dinner special and you get your choice of two items off their dinner special list (fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, Kung pao chicken, etc). Kim bowl is the best Chinese restaurant in Longview. Everything that I have eaten there has been extremely yummy!! My favorite is the egg foo young and hot and sour soup. I get it to go a lot.
