I had chicken skewers (light spicy marinade) and perfectly steamed broccoli without seasoning or butter (my preference.) The portions are large so it would be easy to share. Traveling and came across this place. The owner was super helpful and friendly. Provided a variety of suggestions. We tried their BBQ Pork Buns as an appetizer so delicious. A must order if you like bbq pork. I ordered Thai Tea which was very delicious. If we weren't driving we would have tried the Sake Flight. We order the pasta Florentine with Shrimp not on menu but sounded delicious. We also ordered the Yakisoba Steak Skewers with sweet potato fries. Update time! Hubby & I have become regulars at Columbia Eats since our first visit. We always look for restaurants that have great food & generous portions (enough to take home leftovers ;) which is exactly what Max offers. He always treats his customers like they are the ONLY ones in the restaurant, even when the place is crowded...which is a lot more often these days! We met his new helper, Jacob, who is personable & engaging. He seemed genuinely happy to be there! Now for the food! Our favorites have always been New York Steak Yakisoba (w/Chicken or Shrimp) Spam Pineapple Fried Rice (AMAZING!) It has taken us a long time to try anything else because these are SO good! But last night we felt adventurous & ordered Pasta Arrabbiata & Pasta Alla Vodka. Now we have 2 more dishes to add to "Our Regulars"! Had been wanting to try this place for a while so went here for my birthday. The food was great, the service was great and it is very clean!! The worst part about this place is deciding what to have. I had chicken skewers with fried rice and my girlfriend had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Both were great. Their portions are generous, we both have enough for lunch tomorrow. Their prices are very good. Especially for the portions and quality. They make their sauces in house and you can tell. I believe it was the owner who served us. He is supper friendly and helpful without being pushy. Because it was my birthday he played Happy Birthday in the background while he sang. Bright, clean, open environment. Upon entering - we were warmly greeted by the host and seated immediately. We tried several of their offerings and each one was delicious. This place has just about everything. Asian, Italian, fusion. Normally, places like this, which have different types / nationalities of food, is mediocre at best but not Columbia Eats! The owner, Max is a mad scientist! Everything on the menu is his creation or his version. From the Pepsi Cola Chicken, the Spam fried rice to the deep fried desserts are amazing. Max could probably find a way to deep fry beer. =) I even tried the teriyaki made with chicken breast; it was not dry at all. My wife and I enjoy dining at the bar; it's comfortable and welcoming. I sat in the bar area with a flat screen tv. I started with 2 appetizers. First came bbq pork buns. Not bad. Then hot peanut butter chili oil wontons. Ok wud have liked a stronger peanut butter taste. My entre was yakisoba dark meat chicken. Just ok. The chicken i did not like was cut in small pieces. And the yakisoba noodles i did not like were broken up into short pieces. I went all out and had a dessert. Fried creme brulee cheese cake drizzled w chocolate with a small dollop of ice cream. No flavor. Owner was a supper nice guy serving all the customers and a drive up window and taking phone orders and taking payments by himself. While the server (maybe the owner?) was excellent, and the food was okay, the menu was limited & they were out of some items.

My wife and I decided to try out this new restaurant to our area and we were surprised indeed! We ordered a Tai iced tea, a chikochiko peach, wings, egg rolls, and arrabiata pasta. For dessert we tried the Nutella cheesecake and fried reeses peanut butter cup. They were all super tasty! If we were not so full we would try more! The ambiance of this place was simple with beautiful glass lighting. The most amazing thing though, the server was also the owner, he was beyond informative, very friendly, and despite being very busy very attentive. Had dinner at Columbia Eats Bar & Grill last night with our party of four. This place is a newly started hidden gem. Much of their menu is made in-house and we're finding to be delicious. Caesar dressing made from scratch, croutons made in-house, great flavor. Several of our party had the made-in-house ravioli with a spicy bolognese sauce; absolutely delicious. Followed the meal up with a deep-fried snicker & deep-fried Twinkie with ice cream. What's not to like here? The only bad news is I can try only one entree at one setting. I don't know if it's the owner or manager that greeted us and served us, but he was incredibly polite and friendly. We ordered new drink he had made up, half Mai Tai and half Pina Colada. The food is beautiful, delicious, perfectly seasoned and the right temperature. The charming owner/server/cashier learned our names and called us by name throughout the time we were there. We ordered a variety of appetizers and yakisoba tofu. After eating, talking and laughing for a couple of hours, we realized we were there 30 minutes after his posted closing time (along with a couple of other patrons). We realized this and apologized. While visiting the area we decided to try this place, and it was so good we dined there 2 of our 3 nights in the area! Food was excellent (we tried the Yakatori skewers, steamed dumplings, pasta bolognese, asian salad, mushroom ravioli and Yakisoba chicken and crab rangoon - all excellent!). Prices are actually a bit less than you'll find for comparable food in the area, IF you can find food this good. The owner and cook basically run the place, so you might have a 5 or 10 minute wait for a table even if tables are empty. They want the service to be right, and it is, so don't let that dissuade you. Even the cocktails and desserts are really good, so this is a must-try when you're in Longview. read more
