My go-to is always the teriyaki chicken with fried rice, never misses. Like ever. Now let's talk about those gyozas... because why are they SO good but come on "I need more than this" portions They're a little spendy for the amount, but somehow I still end up ordering them every time. No regrets. My kids? Obsessed. Chow mein, soups, doesn't matter, they're all in. Which says a lot because kids do NOT lie about food. Service was great. Those gentlemen were attentive to our drinks by asking if we wanted refills and coming around often to make sure we didn't need anything additional. The food was so good. Tried the string bean chicken at Oriental Cafe and it was excellent. The chicken was tender, the string beans were perfectly cooked, and the sauce had great flavor without being too heavy. Generous portions and quick service. Definitely coming back to try more dishes. read more

We were up in this area and so hungry! It was chilly and started raining so I was thinking soup. We got there and the service was quick an friendly. We ordered shumai (huge app great size), ramen and a chicken plate. All three were really good! If in the area again we would definitely stop by. They had a good menu and also boba, shoulda got some, sigh. The ambiance was kinda like a cafe so the name makes sense. There's also a mini casino behind a curtain so that's a fun option. I had lunch today while passing through town. I ordered the cashew chicken and requested medium spicy. I have eaten at many Thati restaurants and never had breaded chicken breast in the cashew chicken. It was more like chicken nuggets and not very good. Also not spicy at all and not very flavorful. I would have given a lower rating but I hate to rate it on only one dish. Most people love this restaurant so maybe the other dishes are better. read more

Been here a few times and I couldn't seem to find dish that I would consider my favorite until recently. The Pad Kra Prao (ramen noodles) was delicious. It almost had like a minty/herb flavor in every bite that kept me wanting more! The second dish I had, that I'll probably get once in a while was the Honey BBQ Pork. It's on the sweeter side, which is why it's my second choice; I like food on the savory/spicy side. The rice was a tad dry for me, so I could do without the rice but the pork was good! And the third dish, the Homemade Braised Pork. I'm not sure I can pinpoint the flavor but I'd probably rate it a 3/10. Nothing about it wowed me, unfortunately. With every meal I gave in an ordered a Thai tea (no picture) and I'd rate it a 6/10 compared to all the other Thai teas I've had. It's pretty good! I believe their Thai tea is premade so they just pour it into the cup. I personally like seeing the colors of the drink mix in over time but that's just me. Service was good. Best fried chicken & curry in the whole county! The shumai (spelling?) is very good and I'm pretty sure it's homemade!

They DELIVER!!! Call them directly. Every dish is great, just chose your favorite, this chef is authentic!! Wings are the best around if you like this type wing, they are large and worth the price. We LOVE them. (We don't even go to a pizza place for wings anymore.) The dipping sauce yum, but their peanut sauce is a wonderful addition! Each dish is tasty and not fatty like some other same-type restaurants nearby. I wish they had tofu salad rolls, geez, we would eat here weekly! They deliver!!! (OH I said that, ha!) But they have a dinning room and their service is great ir pick-up super convenient. Give this place a try and I promise you will become addicted to *your * favorite dish. Arguably the best Asian restaurant in Saint Helens, which, for such a small town, already has several great Asian restaurants. Too bad I did not find out about this until a couple of months before I left Columbia County. It's sort of hidden behind a motel, with only a small signage, so it's easy to miss this if you're driving on Highway 30. read more

Updating my review, which is based on Boba alone now: I visited twice and received excellent service from both individuals who were working. I tried their regular milk tea and lychee fruit tea with boba and they were both delicious! The boba is soft and fresh, the teas were flavorful, and it was a great ratio of boba to tea! I've worked in restaurants for years, and this place is fantastic. There's a broad array of clearly, hand-made Asian dishes from all over the flavor spectrum. To be honest, I hadn't gone in because the name and location sort of screamed, "Pretty Average Food Here!" When I got curious and looked at their menu online and saw Shu Mai, I was expecting frozen and reheated commercial Shu Mai, like a typical "Asian" restaurant....I was wrong...So very, very wrong. I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point, and EVERYTHING has been fantastic. Really excited to try the few dishes left that still remain mysterious to me. My usual go-to's of Fried Chicken, Shu Mai, Braised Pork, as well as the always necessary Nom Khao....SO FLIPPIN' GOOD!!! In conclusion, DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR. I've been here several times and everything is good! Like really good!! My daughter loves their yakisoba noodles, they aren't plain or pasty like many places. They are very flavorful. I really like this place if I'm not wanting something spicy. Mostly because they keep ignoring the spice level orders, even when it's specifically ordered, and then mentioned in requests. I got medium spice on my food ONCE and it was amazing, and the only reason I only got it once is because it hasn't been served spicy before or since, despite each request. so it's great if you want something mild, but if you're looking for that heat, I suggest you look somewhere else. read more

Yum. Started w the honey bbq pork. I hesitated to order cuz much of the chinese bbq pork is dry & chewy. This was tender & moist & delicious. I ordered the Southern Style Curry w chicken. Only white rice no brown rice offered. The curry was so different I had to eat for awhile b4 I cud decide it was great. Especially after I added chili oil. Thy serve it with rice & nan bread. The nan bread was really good w the rice & curry. Curry was loaded w chicken. The more I ate. The more I liked. It's family owned. Frank, he's the son, really nice guy, was working the counter. His mom was cooking. Dad does the paperwork. I ordered to go Pad Khing (Thai Ginger) with tofu for my X at home. Nice open bright dining area. Staff is in masks. Thy follow the virus rules. Okay, so today after mushroom hunting (chanterelle season is upon us), and realizing that hiking around in the woods is very painful (arthritis) I didn't "have-it" to cook tonight. I went and stepped way out of what I normally have, and Vietnamese it was for dinner. Oriental Cafe had their Pho (it is #8 on the menu) , something I have never had until tonight. Yes, this is my first time having Pho. I put the ingredients in a bowl, poured my super hot broth over the top. SHUT UP. That Pho was amazing. The spicy, citrus peppery, ginger, sweet, earthy, licorice aroma was perfect. Flavors, wow. How can so many flavors be in one bowl of soup?! Sweet, citrus, spicy, earthy, anise, beef, and subtle sulfur and grassy (from the green onions) flavors danced across my tongue with each bite. You experience textures of crunchy, chewy, wet, crispy, grainy (from the thinly sliced beef) with each bite. I couldn't get enough. Period. Oh, the broth? To simply put it. Comfort food. Each sip and it's like you are enjoying a broth your mom used to make when you were a kid for soup. The kind of broth that she spent hours boiling down and adding flavor, and it is just damn fine. When you are done with the solid ingredients, you tip the bowl back and drink the broth like it's cereal milk. This soup, shut up it is so damn good. I know I have no room for more as I am quite full, and my aches and pains have diminished just a touch, but I am 100% happy. If you haven't had their Pho, put it on your list.
