Came to miyakos after not having it for over a year & I feel like the quality has gone a bit downhill since the last time I had it, the rolls were inconsistent & huge which made it difficult to eat. They didn't really taste the best either I can tell they put a bunch of mayo in the kani salad & it wasn't seasoned either. Overall it definitely could be better.

Came in on a Friday evening with a few friends. Been coming here for years and have tried a good portion of their menu. If your looking for good sushi, this place has it. Outside of sushi, your mileage may vary. This review is solely based on the sushi we all ordered. Service was surprisingly fast this time (it's known to be slow) and friendly. We ordered several types of rolls. Alaska roll, Cowboy Roll, Spider roll, Spicy Tuna roll and the Vegas roll. Hands down our favorite was the Cowboy roll. One of us ordered the plum wine and all tried it. It tasted like a sweet plum. Not my thing but it tasted good. Overall, it's a great place for sushi

We were looking for a lunch spot in St. Helens and ran across this restaurant. The menu in the window and pictures looked decent. Service was fast but not to friendly. The shrimp yakisoba was way out power by the extra amount of sauce they used. We found the same with the poke salad. The portions were big but very small amounts of shrimp and poke.

I have been coming here for over a year and have noticed a stark decline in quality and quantity of the food. The rolls are smaller and shorter than they have been and the prices are only going up. Not to mention, we have had to wait over an hour for our order to be ready many times. Extremely disappointing and not worth the price. If there was another sushi place in town we would go there instead any day.

Diamond in the rough! What a very tasty japanese restaurant that makes everything fresh to order so have patience and listen to the calming japanese music while waiting! Their sesame balls are absolutely the best I've ever put in my mouth, just the right amount of sweetness! The pork katsu was tasty too! I liked the ramen but I think I will try the chicken next time. The portions for the entrees were really big!

Love this place. For a little town this restaurant knocks it out of the park. Love the cowboy roll..

Food is good, it's one of my daughters favorite places to go, but the service is sometimes slow.

    Great food, good service

Ok sushi. Wait times are outrageous but it's the only place in town that offers sushi so we will end up going again

Average sushi, and I will be back again. Service is incredibly slow. Prices were pretty steep for the food and service as a whole.

I've been trying sushi within the area and this is my favorite restaurant so far. As soon as we stepped in around 4pm on a Saturday, we were greeted and seated right away. We only ordered sushi, but they have many other options for those not a fan of sushi. Honestly, I'm use to waiting for sushi to be made when a restaurant has multiple types of food on the menu, but we got our sushi made around 5 minutes. And everything was so fresh!! Amazed by the time and super happy with the food lol The service is great. Each person that stopped by our table were super nice and efficient. I would say we got seated, ordered, received our food, ate and checked out under 25 minutes. My partner and I love dining in restaurants, but we also love when we can be in and out. This isn't very common in non-conveyor belt restaurants. The restaurant itself is Japanese themed and feels authentic. It's a smaller restaurant but they have a covered patio to seat more guests. Overall, I was super impressed and can see why their ratings are so high. I hope to be back soon.

We were greeted immediately and sat down, we ordered the house roll, shogo roll, * I can't remember the last roll, whoops*, spicy wontons, Thai ice tea and Apple Soju. The gentlemen working was very kind, and warned us that the soju is high ABV lol, which we had a bad week so we wanted a high ABV! Our rolls came out before our appetizer, but nonetheless the food was great. Service was much better than before, although we did not receive a check in to see how the food is or if we needed anything else. Everyone even said goodbye when we left, which is always appreciated. I appreciate the owner taking pride in their establishment and trying to make things right. I'll be back

I felt bad for a minute but then he brought us to a table where the cushions were so blown out that the table was coming almost to our chins. It felt vindictive and I didn't feel bad anymore. Things got even weirder after that. We asked about happy hour and he said you have to be sitting in the bar, we asked to move there. Get to the bar and there's no bartender.......why sit us there? Bizarre. He took our drink order and mocked me for my choices. "OMG, you think whiskey tastes good with sprite? Ew" I honestly didn't know how to respond, I've never had a waiter be so weird. Then instead of making the drinks, he disappeared and didn't come back. Finally had to flag down another waiter who took our order, made the drinks and put in our food order. The food has gone downhill. My spider roll was rolled so poorly I couldn't use chopsticks. Had to use my hands and pray it wouldn't fall apart. Most of it did. Crab tasted old. Prices have also gone completely out of control. There is no happy hour to speak of, 10% off isn't worth anything. And $11 for a Sapporo?!?!?!?!? That costs less than $4 in a store. This restaurant is paying less than that. Absolutely insane. This used to be a favorite spot but we won't be back.

Our chef was super funny and super talented! Being as I made my bones in the culinary world I so enjoy watching my food being prepared in front of me! We both got hibachi for two and the entire meal was succulent and hot! Well prepared and well priced! The atmosphere is what you'd expect of a hibachi joint (I don't mind the noise as we shared tables with some nice people) Overall 10/10, would most definitely come back and would most definitely recommend to family and friends. If you ever find yourself in Kelso I most definitely recommend stopping by if you've the time!
