They're hot and sour soup was on point. Their Kung pow chicken was very flavorful and their vegetables were fresh. The fried shrimp was very fresh and to say the least, on point. The important statement first. The food here is really quite good. Portions are a decent size. The Shrimp Egg Roll is huge by most standards. I guess that is their signature item. I ordered way too much food and tried too eat way too much food. I am way too old to do that anymore. But I have to admit the War Wonton Soup is pretty good. First time trying this place. The BBQ pork wasn't as good as many other Chinese restaurants. The 'hot mustard' tasted 'blah', lacking the full bodied flavor you find elsewhere. The steamed rice was unlike any other we've had. The rice was almost like it was frozen prior to serving. The kernels were much smaller than usual. Not fluffy at all. As for the lo mien, 'meh'. However, they have been closed for some time due to the COVID panic so I have not had their food in a couple months. The food is great. Unfortunately, this bar is not open to lgbt people at all. The restaurant is safe, but once you're in the bar you take your identity into your own hands. I was kicked out of the bar because a man called me a faggot, and the bar staff decided to remove my friend and I, rather than removing the person who actually called me derogatory names in the first place. I just had some of the worst Chinese food that iv'e had in along time!!!! I ordered a combo plate and an appetizer plate and wow what a boring,tasteless meal. I don't think i have ever seen so much tempura on shrimp in my life,"where's the shrimp"? was all i was thinking. I got sesame chicken expecting small deep fried piece's with a sauce and got tempura battered chicken finger's or something,tasteless,boring and not what i thought i going to get. The szechwan pork was also very boring. I don't know about all of you out there that say Yan's is the best,not in my book. I should have just ordered from "MOMO's" the very best thai,szechwan,chinese food in town,and it's all superb!!! I have learned my lesson and it wasn't cheap!!! read more
