The restaurant was empty, other than one table with two people. The atmosphere seemed very unwelcoming. The waitress who did seat us, was dressed in a black halter top that was so low, it exposed her breasts. Her entire back area was exposed as well, showing her bright pink bra. It was not only provocative, but embarrassing to even look at her, it was very distasteful. Why management would let someone dress like that, says a lot about the restaurant as a whole, in our opinion. Once seated, our drink order was taken right away, and shortly thereafter, our order. The food was delivered within a timely manner and was tasty. We felt it was also reasonably priced. This day and age, we understand it is not easy to find employees that actually want to work. But when you do, allowing them to dress in a manner, which makes your customers feel uncomfortable, is not acceptable.

We visited Freddy's for a taste since it had been a while since either of us had been. First we…read moreordered the clam chowder to taste. Neither of us thought it very good. It did have plenty of bacon and clams in it but the broth of the chowder was different. We did not care for it and it was very different than other clam chowder dishes. Next we ordered the cod fish and chips and the crab sandwich. Along with those came fries and coleslaw. The fries were hot and amazing while the coleslaw was very dry with little sauce. The fish and chips were the best ever. They were even better than perfect. Next we shared the crab sandwich and neither of us took more than a bite. It was actually terrible but not sure if it was as intended or not to our taste. Either way with all this tasting the fish and chips were great but nothing else was even something we would ever order again. The restaurant was clean except for the floor. It was very sticky. Servers were good in taking our order and handing us the bill but never came back to check on us once. Needless to say if we want fish & chips, we get them as a takeout. We would definitely order the fish again as it rated 5 stars with us but nothing else. The chowder was 2 stars in our mind and the crab sandwich a 1 star.

This location used to be a Shell that I frequented. I think it's still just as good as always…read more Also, I unfortunately got busy on the day I submitted this location, and missed being the first review. Now for a week or two, I believe, there's only been a one-star review that's very depressing. I'm so sorry. Firstly, the convenience store is large with a great selection. Along with great deals on beverages and always being up to date. Secondly, the service is incredible. I swear every cashier I've interacted with provides fast and friendly service. They really seem to enjoy their jobs! Thirdly, back to the convenience store. They have a homemade fudge...um, it's in a smaller clear thing similar to the hot food. It's just so close to the hot food, but I had NEVER gotten the fudge. I think it's great, and $4 a square isn't bad. My grandma loved it, and she's the biggest fudge fan you'll ever meet. As far as gas prices, I think they're in the middle. Not the most expensive or least expensive. Which isn't bad at all. I think both the gas station and convenience store are fairly clean. Maybe some renovations on the convenience store would help, but not necessary. Also, this place never seems to be busy. You'd think with the car wash, they'd be slammed. But no, that car wash seems to go unused and is underrated. Overall, I think this is a prime example of a great gas station. Normal sized gas pump area, big convenience store fully stocked with the latest things and deals on them, and even homemade fudge. I know I can come here and be satisfied. (Now even more so, because I love the Sinclair branding.)

The definition of a charming little downtown restaurant!…read more The décor is wonderful, and I love that they've preserved its old-time character. There's an eclectic mix of tables and chairs that adds to the charm, and they've done an excellent job fitting plenty of seating into the space without making it feel crowded. There's also a cozy little bar with the obligatory TVs. Despite the lack of soft surfaces, the noise level was surprisingly low, and the background music was at just the right volume, making conversation easy. We seated ourselves, and our server arrived promptly with menus and took our drink order. Unfortunately, after our food was delivered, she seemed to disappear. She never came back to check on our meal, and we ended up asking another server for drink refills. The food, however, was fantastic! I had the Pacific Pasta (I may have the name slightly wrong), and it was outstanding. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was light and flavorful, and there was so much seafood! I expected a couple of shrimp and a few chunks of salmon, but the plate was loaded with both. My husband ordered the tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly, and he enjoyed the rice as well. The presentation of both dishes was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. Our bill came to about $110 for an appetizer, two entrées, and three drinks. If I had one small wish, it would be cloth napkins. It's a tiny detail and certainly doesn't take away from the experience, but it's one of those little touches that would have made the meal feel just a bit more special. Overall, I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this restaurant. I'd happily return the next time we're in town.
