There are two locations, this is one is with indoor and outdoor seating area near an intersection. On Sunday midday it was packed inside which is per usual and can mean only one thing, food is soooo good!!! It was a sunny warm day and since we were passing by we got our food to go but could have sat outside comfortably. We ordered baskets of fried prawns, oysters, cod with sweet potato and dirty fries. Seafood was prepared perfectly and dirty fries were delicious! Def worth coming back over and over for. read more

Back again for lunch and this time they had updated their menu. Not to raise their prices, but to add a Kids Menu and a Chowder Bread Bowl w/sourdough bread. Also, when hubby placed my order for Halibut again, he forgot to mention the Sweet Potato Fries instead of the regular fries. It turned out to be a "happy accident" because their fries were PERFECT! Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. I added a photo of the new menu and those terrific fries! read more

Recently we stopped in for the English style Rock Fish. We had it before and it was a very generous size and very tasty. Our last visit the place was very busy and many take out orders. We were asked if we would like two pieces of fish instead of one large piece. We said why not? It's busy and we thought it would help get the food quickly. Unfortunately the fish we received was half the size of a normal one piece of fish. I think we will take a break from the establishment and hopefully they can get up to speed with the amount of business they receive. Thank you. read more

Uber driver told us they got the best burger in town. Son got the burger. He was suffering from bad jet lag so he didn't eat much of it. It was decent. I don't think I would come here foe the burger though. I got the cod fish and chips. Husband got the halibut fish and chips. Both were delicious but I preferred the halibut. I also got a cup of the chowder. It was really good once I got past the half a stick of butter on top of it. Once mixed, it wasn't bad. One of the best meals I had in longview. Very small place. Doesn't have very many seats. You order and sit down. read more

I will say the halibut was good, really liked the texture, the fries were also good. That being said, the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Two orders of 3-piece halibut and fries, over $67, nothing extra or added. It's not as if the pieces were overly large to justify price. That's without a tip. Halibut is always expensive but Kerby's is crazy. As good as the fish was, I can't imagine I'll go back, there are other options with more reasonable prices. The counter service was adequate, functional, not too friendly considering there were only two other customers in the time I was there. They didn't answer the phone when I called to order so had to go wait. Overall, three stars is right, good food but way over priced in my opinion. read more

Got hungry out riding the Harley. Had heard good things about this place so i stopped in. 2 piece halibut with fries and slaw. Was glad i tried it. I also had a cup of seafood chowder that was absolutely excellent. The tartar sauce wasn't my favorite but the fish was very good and the fries were crispy and hot. I will come again!! read more

Haven't done a review in a while but had to do this one - I really enjoy an order of fish and chips at times. That said, if I am going to pay the money and consume the calories I want it done right. Kerby's failed. Out of halibut at 12:30 pm during regular lunch hours. Ordered cod - pieces were average to smaller in size and well cod - not my favorite but will do if not too "fishy" and fried right with great tarter/lemon/vinegar mix. This fish was battered to great and thick. Made it crisp AND soggy at same time. Don't like this. Sweet potato fries were burnt and not crisp - I know weird. The wait was fair - not quick but not too long. As for as service - fair at best. That said, the screen prompts you to tip 15 20 or 25% and is not clear on other options- which is frustrating when you wait in a line situated in a cramped space, order your food (out of halibut) and rushed to stand around, wait for your ringer to go off then negotiate a cramped pick up window. All of that for highly mediocre fried fish - two order's of 2 piece cod with 1 coke - which cost me $48 (with the $8ish dollar tip). Really. No thanks. Btw- had been there before with about the same experience however the halibut was - well better - it is halibut. But looking back - i should have learned the first time. 2 stars because lemon, vinegar and tarter were given. read more

We have already been here 3 times since they opened. I have eaten in twice and taken out once. The food is good. The staff is so kind and patiently answers all your questions. The only thing I can't wait until they take call in orders. But definitely worth the money. read more

Always try to stop by on fri/sat for Halibut (or Salmon) fish & chips. The fresh catch of the day is usually a good deal an Kerby will filled it for you. We usually get at least a half salmon. read more

Tried the restaurant and was served cold drinks( Sprite) that smelled bad and tasted like mildew. The halibut and fries were good. When I talked to girl at counter about drinks she said nothing was wrong with Sprite. While at counter saw cook eating food with bare hands while cooking . Will not go back. read more

I ordered 3 six ounce skinless halibut fillets ahead of time. Each one was 33% (2 ounces) more than what I'd requested. My regular fish monger in Seattle is MUCH more accurate. I found the staff to be pleasant on the phone and less so in person. The place is a bit divey in my view. I made a special trip there because of the reviews here. Now that I've experienced it myself, I won't be back. read more

Small menu. Hoping for a fish sandwich. But what they offer is excellent. Prices are good. Seating in or out. Drive through open.

The people working there were super nice. Coming from San Diego, the mecca of seafood tacos, I've been bummed out a few times in our fantastic PNW. Kerby's for the win!!! I enjoyed the lime creama on the shrimp tacos, and shrimp were cooked perfectly. These are definitely tacos that beg to be eaten right away to escape any sog factor. Bonus was the pineapple coleslaw they threw in a side of, I'd go back for that alone. It's a simple outdoor set up, which I happen to enjoy in general. Can't wait to try more from this spot! read more

Kerby’s Fish - Shrimp tacos, yum!! - Seafood Markets Near Me - Kelso, Washington

In this new location, the staff is rude, the quality of the food is seriously diminished. I ordered chowder with orange grease floating on the top of it. They are not set up for inside dining, and force a $1.25 take out fee, even though they do not give you a choice with very minimal seating. Just avoid. read more

All the seafood is fresh. The outside restaurant has many seafood options. The staff is excellent! Love this place.

The fish tacos were the best I've ever had! So delicious and big! And the coleslaw with the pineapple in it was amazing! The fries were also so good! Great place run by nice guys! read more

Great quality fresh seafood at competitive prices. Great place to get fresh caught fish

It's simply a very cool setup with really good food. Hang out & mingle with others outside while you eat or get it to go.

Kerby's Fish is delicious. Their crab Rangoons are the best I've ever had. I'm sad they no longer have the halibut sandwich, it was amazing. The seafood chowder is my favorite, and both fish and chips (cod and halibut) are always cooked perfectly. Kerby's gives quality and consistency. I highly recommend. read more

10/10 best spot around town for fresh seafood I wouldn't go anywhere else thanks for your business

Great fish market very fresh filleting right in front of you. Good selection of smoked items fresh oysters and steamer clams and a good menu from the kitchen, best award winning clam chowder around! read more

I've heard about this place for quite awhile, but hadn't been in the area when they were open. Today I happened to be in the area. Long story short, it was awesome. Seafood chowder was probably the best I've ever had and I get chowder everywhere. Filled with seafood and super creamy. Not potato soup like some I'm sure it's not the most healthy thing to eat, but it was damn good. They had sturgeon and I had to get that with the sweet potato fries. Phenomenal. The batter was greasy, but it's that thicker type batter that gets that way. However, the batter was seasoned nicely and the fish was cooked well. Super moist and tasty. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Let me start this review by saying that I am not a seafood fan. As in, I smell it and it's all I can do to not turn green and run off to upchuck. However, I've always had luck at another fish and chip place in town, and my mom would not shut up about how delicious this place was, so I decided to tag along with them for dinner one night. This is a bit of an odd place to go if you're unfamiliar. It's sort of a tent/food cart situation that's set up in a parking lot between the river and west side highway, so ambiance is what you could expect if you were dining in someone's front yard that's 10 feet from a busy rural highway. There are a few other vendors in the parking lot selling fresh-picked berries, some knickknacks and a separate tent to get freshly caught seafood. According to my mom, they basically cook what they catch. We rolled in just before the dinner rush arrived and placed our orders; I got fish and chips with sweet potato fries. Our food was ready in around 5 minutes, and had to have been just pulled from the fryer as it was too hot to touch still. The sweet potato fries were great, but I kind of wish I would have gotten regular fries. The portion size is huge, and there's just too much of a good thing. The fish was delicious! At first I thought it was a bit over done because the batter was a deep brown instead of golden, but all the flavor was there. The pieces were huge, too. After such a big meal I nearly needed to nap in my car afterward! My only downside was the dipping sauce, because it wasn't the traditional tartar sauce I'm used to. It was a little bit more liquid/runny and a dill flavor was at the forefront. Don't get me wrong, it was good and a bit different, but the flavor was just a little bit too far on the unexpected side. A downside many people will probably see is that they keep somewhat inconsistent hours. I'm sure it's because they align to their supply of food/ingredients, but if you like the freshest foods you can get, this is the place to get it. read more

100% this place delivers! By that I mean they really check all of the boxes of what fish and chips should be. These fish and chips are leagues better... I mean on a whole separate level than any of the fish and chips I have sampled along my culinary journeys through Portland. The staff was extremely friendly, the place was clean, and the ambience was nice. Great place. Highly recommended :) read more

We stop at Kerby's frequently for fish and chips -- like once a month. My folks get halibut and chips, my husband and I get the cod and chips. When it's cold outside, we add in the divine clam chowder. (makes great leftovers!) The fish is always fresh and perfectly cooked and the fries are to DIE for. The batter is on the thicker side, but I like a little crunch to offset the texture of the fish. Ask for extra tartar sauce and call ahead if you can. They're always busy! read more

My review is from the perspective of a lifelong halibut and chips fan/critic.Longvuew/Kelso has always had a number of great halibut and chips places.THIS IS NOT ONE. MY fish was super greasy and the battery was crunchy and overseasined. The fish itself was bland and slimy. It sent me straight to the restroom after I ate it. The fries were excellent. But cannot let's fish and chips fan go here thinking they will get great F&C. read more

I have been going to Kerby's for years now, and I have to say that they have some of the best fish n' chips that I have ever had. Growing up with parents and grandparents from the Oregon coast, I've had plenty of fish n' chips experiences. The quality for the price is incomparable. There's a reason that their seafood chowder is award winning as well. If you looking for amazing food at a reasonable price set in a fish market atmosphere, this is the place to go if you're near Kelso. My only grip is being open 3 days a week (Friday through Sunday), however it is a perfect weekend stop. read more
