North MacArthur Panera in Irving. I ordered my meal online for a contact-less pickup. I notified them when I got there and waited 8 minutes after cook time. Then I called them. It took forever for someone to answer. When they did, it was clear that my meal had been sitting somewhere just getting cold. When I finally received my meal, it was barely warm. Many parts of the crust had nothing but a drop or two of sauce (sparse cheese or tomatoes). Then to top it all off they gave me a plastic knife. I found out why. They didn't hardly cut the pizza. So I ended up with the little sauce all over my hands trying to cut this in my vehicle. This was the worst visit I have ever had at a Panera. FYI they were not busy. Typical lunch spot with the standard soup/salad/sandwich/pasta menu that nearly every chain with "bakery" or "cafe" in the name shares. Panera Bread items do on occasion show up on one or two "unhealthiest restaurant food" lists, but I don't generally indulge in the calorie-laden baked goods, heavy pastas or sandwiches during workday lunches. Bakery smells hits you full force the moment you walk in, thanks to strategic placement at the entranceway. I walked in hoping to snag one of those strawberry type salads that Panera Bread hyped all summer--sadly, strawberry season was over and I had to content myself with a Fuji Apple Salad. What I thought was a strange substitution of fresh apples for dried apple chips resulted in a nice textural addition to my salad greens, gorgonzola, and crushed pecans. The white apple balsamic vinaigrette was a nice light dressing that tied the entire salad together. Pretty good for a salad. What I won't recommend here is the mango smoothie--it's just plain terrible. Using yogurt as a base, this mango juice smoothie was the nastiest, most unnatural tasting smoothie I've ever drank. I guess to offset some of the unhealthy reputation that Panera Bread has gained, they threw in a "good-for-you" smoothie selection--except it tasted yucky. Not even real fruit in a supposedly fruity smoothie. Health food shops haven't constructed a liquid concoction this foul. Calorie counts on the board menus were a plus. Staff had an ambivalent "just workin here" attitude behind the counter. I guess I would be ambivalent too; all of these cafes are the same to me--eat in one, and you've eaten at them all. read more

Still waiting for my order when the pick up time was 35 minutes ago. The order was placed 2 days ago, yet they didn't start making it until the actual pick up time. While I'm waiting, I could hear the staff complaining about their other customers. One lady whined to a manager type person she didn't want to clean the floor, and apparently the whining was effective. So if you like your time wasted, hear rude comments, and eat somewhere with dirty floors, definitely come here. read more

The only reason this gets two stars is because we USED to love coming here. So the last three times our uncomplicated order has been wrong so today were out and it's a beautiful day and so we decide if we eat there our order will be correct and we can enjoy a meal without the children. Good news is our order came out right but there was no where to sit because every table in the store was completely dirty the dish pits were stacked to the roof and the dining room attendant was to busy flirting with the girl behind the counter to care!! She is always asking if I need anything and quick to take empty plates off the table. I had a little incident with a gift card situation this early evening as I was purchasing one and there was an issue with the gift card not being activated. I was very upset and frustrated with Eid shopping and fasting all day because of the month of Ramadan that I was very tired and hungry. The young lady who worked there Sumiya automatically saw that I was upset and gave me a pastry to make up for the misunderstanding she also offered me a drink to go along with the great pastry. The assistant manager on that shift around 5:30pm I believe her name was Shermeria (I am sorry I probably butchered your name) She fixed the problem with the gift card and was very nice to me even though I was kind of upset. I've been here multiple times hoping the service would change and it did not. The person packing my order to go forgot to mention they didn't have an ingredient for something but made it anyway. When I asked for something else to substitute for it, she slid it in a container to me, rudely, didn't say anything make any contact while talking on and on to another co worker. Panera Bread is super tasty but if you order take out from here I would double check it. We order from this place at work alot but it seems like they mess something up every other time we eat here. However, one time I did contact a manager about the items we didn't receive and he actually treated me and my coworker to lunch which was wonderfull. I've been very excited about the new Panera Bread in Lewisville for a while now and I finally got to try it last week. While the food is delicious, I was disappointed by the service in the drive through. I haven't been inside yet. I'll post that one when I come to it. Here are some tips: 1. How about saying my order back to me to make me feel like you have listened? (Instead of frantically handing me my bag acting like they hope they got it right and me having to make sure...) 2. How about a "Thank you" when I pick it up? (It's not hard and makes me feel as if you would like for me to come back). If you are a Freedom Loving American this is not the place for you! I entered the Panera's and found no one to order from. I had to interrupt the "meeting" in the back to receive service. I told them I would like to order. I was told they would not take my order without me submitting to wearing a mask. If you like Panera's enough to comply and be a good sheep then you will be given service. This is a warning to all who do not like to be muzzled like a dog and will not follow like a sheep...don't go here. This place has friendly help for the most part but they seem a little slow as to keeping the tea and drinks available. When you see how they refill them coming from big plastic cats being tipped over, it's not very appealing particularly when you're paying almost three bucks a pop. I love panera- I go every Saturday with my husband to read and catch up. However, this panera was terrible. We ordered on the kiosk (as we always do), and our drinks were brought out. My husbands drink order was wrong and then we were then told that they were out of the bagel flavor we ordered which can be indicated on the kiosk and is weird for 8 am on a Saturday. Plus, my smoothie tasted bad. The lady brought out his new mocha and we got different flavored bagels, but I was surprised that there was no sort of "sorry for the inconvenience" or free pastry or anything. I'd give this place zero starts if I could. Worst service ever! I've ordered several times for delivery and EVERY time they leave something off my order. When I call to ask for a credit they say they aren't able to do that, their system won't allow it. Today I placed an order (NEVER AGAIN), when they called me to let me know they had arrived with my delivery the driver (who I later found out was the "Manager") argued with me when I told him he was at the wrong office address. Of course when I went downstairs to pick it up it was across the street at the WRONG address. To top it off, drinks were missing and potato chips were missing. Panera, as a restaurant, has great food and but I urge potential customers to avoid this specific location past 5pm CT. The restaurant manager assigned to this location must not realize the simple negative externalities which come from a panera location which accounts for most of it's sales during lunch time. During non-peak times (esp. past 5pm CT), they always seem to run out of bagels, bread, soups, avocados, cheese, entire entrees, and other key ingredients including chicken. A fourth of the time, this is the result of a lack of communication between the staff (esp. bread and soups) and the rest is due to an actual shortage. Either way, avoid this location after 5pm rather than driving over, ordering twice and waiting twice, only to consume customized entrees based on the ingredients the kitchen is out of. read more

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY I placed a delivery order at 10:39am, requesting delivery between 12:30 -12:45. I was notified at at 12:45 that it was out for delivery and at 12:47 that it was arriving. I left my desk and sat downstairs for 10 minutes. Nothing. At 2:20, I was notified by security that my order was delivered to the other building at about 1:45. An hour late. And the building it delivered to has a different street #, so they didn't even read the delivery address. Then, when I called the store for a refund, they picked up the phone and hung it up 3 times. I had to call corporate for a refund that will process in 30-45 days. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE read more

I've been hanging on with this location over the last year as they went through staff changes to grouchy or apathetic servers and managers... Through their remodel which, as far as I can tell only made the drink station more inefficient and crowded than before (you have to reach over the open lemon dish to get the lids -- I have long hair and in the winter I wear long sleeves, so guess what is going to be dragged through said lemons??)... Through the decreased cleanliness (algae growing on the inside of the ice dispensing chute and brown chunks hanging out of the iced tea spout?)... Through multiple incorrect to-go lunch orders (sometimes a missing item, sometimes the wrong condiments -- they do give you the item if you call them and come back later, at least)... But after them not having souffles about 8 of my last 10 visits, I'm over them. I get it if it's 5 minutes until they're supposed to stop serving them and someone just came in and bought them out, but I've been in up to an hour before they're supposed to stop serving them (10:30 on weekdays, 11:00 on weekends), and have been told they are out and won't be baking anymore. I'm pretty sure these come pre-made and frozen, so I'm not sure why it's so hard for them to get the right number prepared. I'm not a carb-load breakfast kind of person, so the souffles are what I want. Not a muffin. Not a bagel. Not and undercooked, barely browned cream cheese pastry. Not two pieces of toast with a thin slice of egg in between. Soufffle. They don't have them? I don't buy anything at all. I hope they can get their selves together, but judging by the amount of lunch catering they do, they probably won't see my breakfast disappointments as a priority. Oh well...
