So I came into this location to grab breakfast before church. As I'm standing in line to order, the gentleman in front of me tells the associate there's a roach crawling on the pastries. The associate immediately dumps the tray of pastries and thanks the customer for telling her. She then tells her manager what just happened. I walk to get my fountain drink and there's another roach next to the drink station. At this point, I am utterly disgusted and I tell the manager about the additional roach sighting. MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75063, went above and beyond, albeit to no avail, to delve into why my Panera rewards account is NOT accruing visits, and hasn't for the past couple years. I have made countless visits, provided a valid phone number or swiped my card, but yet the visits don't seem to change. Yesli tried it herself, only to learn that what I've been telling most Panera Bread employees who don't really care, is in fact true. I do appreciate Yesli for putting in a genuine effort to try to get to the bottom of it. She didn't get a response that was helpful from her general manager at the North Irving location, but she wanted to help me. I appreciate that. You simply don't find that in customer service in any industry any more. Yesli deserves more than just a pat on the back. She deserves a promotion so she can learn how to get to the bottom of these types of inadequacies that are plaguing Panera Bread, and then train employees how to solve the customers issues. I have been on a health kick for some time so I love going to the places that offer fresh servings. Panera is on my list of healthy places to eat out at. Especially if I am on a diet. However today I am not on a diet and I ordered my favorite sandwich, The Bacon Turkey Bravo and I added avocado to it. So yummy! Normally I call ahead because lunch time around here is insane! The line will get 15 people deep at times. When I first got here today there was only one cashier and though she is very nice, she is also very chatty. Making you stand there longer than need be in line while she chats up everyone at her register. Another lady was walking around and doing other "working" stuff and did so for at least 3 minutes before acknowledging me and taking my order. In the mean time, Mrs. Chatty Cathy is still on her first customer as I pay and go to the waiting area. So once again, my lesson is learned. I will be calling my order to go and hopefully missing the line even if I was just behind one person today. They also have a rewards program which I love, I have received two free desserts and a drink so far. I have tried their pick 2 and you end up with half a sandwich and a small cup of soup. It was not enough food for me, I like my whole sandwich as opposed to just half of one. :) read more

Yesterday, my order to go took 17 minutes (for a breakfast sandwich and a bagel) and today none of the self check stands would accept credit/debit card pay. Went in this morning and the employee was extremely rude. Just a little advice- not returning a greeting, not looking at your customer and not responding to thank you is BAD customer service. This by far is the worst experience ever. I will not be coming back to Panera bread. I went in Thursday night to use my free you pick two and Instead of the half sand which I wanted the whole, I also told the lady I wouldn't mind paying the difference for me to get the whole sandwich. So she grabbed the manager on duty which I believe her name was Stephanie, she was a black female lady. This lady charged me 9$ for just wanting the whole sandwich, when I had went in to enjoy my reward. I couldn't argue with the manager, she was the one who is able to handle anything instead she made it worse. To top it off while I'm eating there is a small white dog in the restaurant, and it's not a seeing or disability dog either, it's a small white fuzzy dog. I used to be such a fan of Panera. What happened to them? First, when I walk to the counter, several employees saw me and proceeded to yell "there's a customer at the counter." Yep, after the third employee said it, the ONE person working the counter got the hint. There was an older gentleman in dress clothes behind the counter, I am assuming the manager. He never said a peep. He even walked by me while I waited for the food and said nothing. Strange. The only employee who seemed to know how to use the register took my order and asked if I was part of their reward program. When it lid him No, he said ok... No explaining about it, nothing. I ordered the Edamame soba noodle bowl and a Mediterranean sandwich. The description of the soup said it had an umami-soy broth. No, no and no. Now, I love my share of salt, but I am still gulping down my gallon of water after eating some of it. Ok, pushed the soup aside to try the Med sandwich. Maybe a bland-wich. Boring, lacking taste. I am so disappointed with Panera. It used to be really good and I realized today I hadn't eaten their food for a while. Now I know why. Today i went on the Panera website and saw a half tuna sandwich and cup of 10-veg soup for 6.99 So I walk in to order it and keep in mind i haven't been to a Panera in over a decade so i'm unfamiliar with all their options. The cashier appeared to be new because someone was helping her and she was pleasantly trying to find what i ordered but they asked if i wanted the Pick Two and I said i don't know i saw the deal on the website. Then they asked me what kind of sandwich and what kind of soup so i told them again what i wanted. The total rang up to 10.16 which made me perplexed. I said i'm not sure that's right so she said did you want a bowl or a cup of soup and i said whatever is less probably the cup. A few employees including the manager were staring at me and laughing either about me apparently being a cheapskate or something else but i heard an employee say ooo that's cold. I paid the 10.16 and tipped a dollar just for the heck of it. I can easily afford this lunch it's just the principal of it, being overcharged and then have people look at you like you are some bum or cheapskate. I have been to this Panera and I am always accompanied with a bevy of female co-workers since they seem to flock here like its a sale on shoes and bags at Macy's. Well since I have changed jobs there are very few ladies I work with and none that consistently join me for lunch. At this location I ventured alone. When I walked in people were looking at me strangely, and I just chalked it up to having a good hair day. Then things got more odd, when I went up to place my order the lady, Candice, took my order and was fast and courteous until she asked when the rest of my party was coming. I casually said that I am eating solo and she gasped. A person in the kitchen dropped a mug and looked my way in bewilderment. The entire restaurant stood still and it fell silent. Candice then said "I...uhhh, I don't think any......guy has ever eaten here without a girl with him." It was true, she got the manager and she checked her books and I was in fact the first guy ever to have gone to Panera Bread Company without being taken there by a member of the opposite sex. Looking back I should have known; the parking full of VW Beetles and Honda Accords, the Coldplay playing over the loud speaker, and hearing everyone reminiscence about old Friends episodes. I just wanted to enjoy their refreshing Iced Green Tea and have an salad with apples and walnuts to accompany my sandwich on focaccia bread. I sat uncomfortably in my seat while getting strange stares from passing women so I just logged onto the free wi-fi on my phone and finished my food and left quickly. It was very good food and the accommodations were very comfortable and nice. Too comfortable and the food was too quaint without a lady there to complain to me about everything that isn't perfect in their life. I won't make that mistake again. Don't die of shock or anything, but Las Colinas has a new chain restaurant! I know, I know... hard to believe, but it's true, I went there! To be brief, this place is a step up from Corner Bakery Cafe across the street as far as their baked items go, but pretty similar otherwise. There is a good-sized selection of baked goods and from what I have sampled they are pretty decent. Decent enough to warrant return visits from me, and from someone who loves home-grown local businesses, this is saying a lot. Their cookies, scones, and muffins have all hit the spot for me when I have needed a quick breakfast bite. Yes, I did eat cookies for breakfast... being a grown-up is awesome! Their breakfast sandwich left much to be desired and is about what you would expect out of chain food. Lousy sausage patties, pre-cooked eggs, and soggy, greasy bread. I was not a big fan, but it was kinda what I expected. However, their bakery is pretty decent stuff and due the fact that it is close to my house and everything else in the area sucks rocks, I will be coming back regularly, I imagine. I give this place 5 stars, not for the food, but the level of service I got. I came in here and ordered the sandwich and soup combo. 1/2 a Cuban chicken sandwich and a cup of tomato soup. Cashier was very friendly and courteous. My order came out wrong. I got a full Cuban Chicken sandwich and a bag of chips. I told the server I think the order was wrong and I was supposed to get the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. They let me have the full sandwich, bag of chips, and brought me out a cup of soup!! So I got roughly a free half sandwich and bag of chips!! Later on, the cashier walked around and gave away the cookies they had baked. I got a chocolate chip cookie and my friend got an oatmeal raisin cookie. Both were great! My sandwich I'd give 2.5 stars and my soup 3 stars. But, I didn't have to argue or anything for them to fix my order. They just did it. And I got a free cookie, too! I probably wouldn't come back because I don't particularly like their food that much (I'm more of a Corner Bakery kind of guy), but if you do like Panera Bread, I would definitely recommend this location because of how courteous and friendly they are. read more

I frequent Panera Bread a lot due to its convenience; however, it definitely isn't the best. I like to order their salads, and I'll never forget the time I ordered a grilled chicken salad, and the chicken came out frozen. I sent the salad back saying, "It seems you guys forgot to warm the frozen chicken before placing it on my salad". I didn't even get a coupon for the unfortunate incident. If I had to pick the best salad on their menu, it would be the Chicken Cobb Salad. It comes with a lot of ingredients and the size is great. I don't frequent Panera often but when I do, it's as if I'm visiting an old friend whose mom knows how to make me a satisfying meal to hit the spot. The tomato soup and tomato mozzarella panini are my go to items here. For me, it's a comfort meal. My bestie and I would always go to Panera to halfsies this meal and then indulge in some Starbucks hot chocolate after. Weird combo, I know. But it helped us bond. The new tradition now is going with the husband after a long night's work for both of us for some breakfast. He loves the egg souffles here. And for being a non-egg eater myself, I tried a bite of his spinach artichoke souffle and it was really good. I love this Panera. Clean, fast and relatively quiet (except between 11:45-12:30). They're broccoli cheese soup is awesome and I get it every time. Recently, they added kiosks in the front to allow you to order on your own. My only issue was that it didn't recognize my order as being applicable for the reward on my Panera card, so I had to go to the cashier anyway. They've also started letting people sit down and order online for food to be brought directly to your table. I'm liking theses changes/upgrades! Keep it up. read more

Love the food but this place lacks in cleanliness. We always have to wait for someone to clean off the tables and it's usually a lot of tables that need for it to be done. I visited this location on two different occasions. One the first occasion the woman at the counter was so nice and helpful and went out of her way. When I was told I had a coupon for a free pastry I asked if I could get something else instead (that was equal value). She ended up allowing me to have a fruit cup and I could substitute an apple for the chips. Fast forward to two days later. The next employee was not as...helpful. But at any rate, the sandwich and salads I ordered came out very quickly even when the location was busy. I love that Panera Bread lists the calorie count next to the menu items. That is one thing that keeps me going back. The turkey cranberry flat bread is less than 300 calories but you would never know it. It is beyond delicious! read more

Coffee lovers out there - they have great coffee selection and i highly recommend the Dark Roast. If you're NOT a coffee drinker, they offer Republic of Tea which is a good quality tea (no Lipton here!). If you want to get carb happy, this is the place for you - in house made scones like the wild blueberry scone, anyone? But you must go there now to try their Gingerbread bagel - will definitely put you in a happy holiday spirit! North MacArthur Panera in Irving. I ordered my meal online for a contact-less pickup. I notified them when I got there and waited 8 minutes after cook time. Then I called them. It took forever for someone to answer. When they did, it was clear that my meal had been sitting somewhere just getting cold. When I finally received my meal, it was barely warm. Many parts of the crust had nothing but a drop or two of sauce (sparse cheese or tomatoes). Then to top it all off they gave me a plastic knife. I found out why. They didn't hardly cut the pizza. So I ended up with the little sauce all over my hands trying to cut this in my vehicle. This was the worst visit I have ever had at a Panera. FYI they were not busy. Still waiting for my order when the pick up time was 35 minutes ago. The order was placed 2 days ago, yet they didn't start making it until the actual pick up time. While I'm waiting, I could hear the staff complaining about their other customers. The only reason this gets two stars is because we USED to love coming here. So the last three times our uncomplicated order has been wrong so today were out and it's a beautiful day and so we decide if we eat there our order will be correct and we can enjoy a meal without the children. Good news is our order came out right but there was no where to sit because every table in the store was completely dirty the dish pits were stacked to the roof and the dining room attendant was to busy flirting with the girl behind the counter to care!!
