I get it, other orders are being filled..extend the time within the app. This visit I patiently waited 5 minutes after my order was to be ready. Upon further nosiness, spotted my cup on the floor. Wondered how long will they keep kicking it around before someone picks it up. Needless to say my craving for coffee beat out employee attentiveness. I inquired about my order to be handed a cup without explanation. Aht aht..I also ordered food. To my dismay the app showed chocolate croissants but none were made that day. I used a free pastry coupon how ever will I be compensated. I didn't want anything else, no I wasn't being difficult. The only reason this location is getting 4 stars is because of the manager!!! She was super nice, offered sandwiches, salads, something to make me whole and wrote my missing pastry in a special book. I wasn't a jerk about the situation, ish happens BUT I wasn't going to take food I wasn't going to eat. When I returned the next day The Manager greeted me before I made it to the counter. This is not the 1st time they have screwed up my order and tried to over charge me. NEVER go to the one on Pendleton Pike they are HORRIBLE! I ordered 4 Kitchen Cookies . I picked up my order they tried to put 4 chocolate chip cookies in the bag I looked in the car. listen, if you don't have what I order then just say that do not put something of LESS value in my bag and just see what I have to say. One week ago had a 5 star meal here. Today was a 1 star meal. Last week I had the half salad and cup of soup combo. Chicken noodle soup and 1/2 Fuji apple chicken salad were excellent. I went after work and ordered three soup and sandwich meals. I received my food and the bag was taped closed. I peaked in and really couldn't make out what was in the bag. I got home and the Kicking grilled cheese sandwich was missing. I drove back, showed my receipt and the manager was nice about providing me a kicking grilled cheese. He instructed someone behind the counter, the same young woman who bagged up my order the first time. After a few minutes she let me know my sandwich was ready. Pretty much everything needs to improve. From soggy yougurt and fruit cup to cold coffee to old oat cookies to poor service... etc This franchise place needs to step it up otherwise Panera should shut it down. I was very disappointed in the Smokey Buffalo chicken melt sandwich that I got. I would have liked to get one of the sandwiches in the picture but insted what I got was mostly bread Unlike the picture, there was absolutely no chicken that could be seen hanging outside of the bread. There was some chicken on it and cheese and sauce, but there's only a little of it inside a massive baguette. I had a horrible experience at the Panera Bread on East 56th. I ordered $80 worth of food, about 5 meals. First issue was, I specifically asked the cashier to make my sandwich to go, and the chicken teriyaki bowl to go, a d the rest for dine in. Well, they swapped it. The chicken teriyaki bowl was in a bowl on a tray and so was my sandwich, the dining in items were all wrapped to go instead of on a tray. Second issue, I finally arrived at the airport to tear into my sandwich and it was not even sliced in half. It's too big for that and I don't have a knife since I'm at the airport. It would have been nice to share it with my son,but doing the whole, " I take a bite, then you take a bite" wasn't going to work. Third issue and most important is that ordered a bbq chicken smokehouse sandwich and I believe it's one of the more expensive sandwiches, and what I'm eating write now is some pesto sauce deli turkey sandwich with little-to-no-meat and a bunch of soggy lettuce and two sliced of tomatoes for a 12" sandwich. I just started working nearby and decided to try the 8.99 per month coffee club. I like the convenience and rapid pickup, but recently I have been grounds in the bottom of my cup. Service is fast and friendly. They could do a lot better with social distancing people crowd around rapid pickup, checkout and coffee. I typically love Panera however I think I'm done coming here during the evening shift. For the last week, 2 of the 3 kiosks have not been working. So we have to stand in line to use the kiosk. Aside from the kiosk not being available, there were no cups of any size out on the cup stations. All the cups are behind the counter. This is evening more frustrating since that is the purpose of the kiosk and the cup stations. I was in a hurry and took care of my purchase and proceeded to the counter to get my cups. I did indeed reach over grab my cups and I admit I was wrong for that, however the manner that the lady at the register talked to me was not ok. She accused me of not paying and stated that several times. I apologized for reaching over. So additional information, I have the Panera rewards on all of my family's numbers and am literally in here every single day so I know many of the employees and they have all stated to just grab the cup. I joined the unlimited sip club a few months ago. I got in for a promo for 1.99 a month for 3 months. Any way you look at it, that's a great deal. Panera is always really good but a bit pricey for multiple meals a week IMO. The Tuesday Bagel special is awesome and now that they've added charged caffeine drinks to the coffee and tea club I'm stoked! Can't wait to try one tomorrow. read more

Overall, the place is awful. We went there for a quick bite as there is a theater close to it. Panera Bread (not this particular location, but in general) was recommended by one of our friends, so we thought to give it a shot. However, no more shots now. The vegetarian options are way too limited and among the ones they have, they make a mess of it. We went for Mediterranean Sandwich, Tomato Mozzarella Flatbread and a (from what I recall) French Toast Bagel. Neither of the sandwiches was enjoyable as the salt was a bit too much. Customer service is always great here. I've already came to this location several times and they always give me my order right and they are also very fast on the orders too. Also the place is always clean and neat. I was attended by Linda and she was over all amazing. Moreover I always get a Chicken Chipotle Sandwich which is very tasty I totally recommend trying it out. I'm a longtime fan of Panera Bread, a nationwide chain that serves up healthier than usual fast casual food with friendly service and a friendly, inviting vibe. I've always considered this particular location, however, to be on the low-end of the Panera chain because the atmosphere is always just a little less inviting, the employees just a little less friendly, and even the food manages to be not quite up to the almost always consistent Panera standard. During today's visit, which was my effort to finally have that nice and relaxing meal that didn't quite happen during last night's visit to The North End Moonshine & BBQ, Panera had already lost one star before I even made it to the ordering counter when I couldn't even manage to get in their front door in my wheelchair without bumping a magazine rack that had either been placed incredibly badly or wasn't being monitored appropriately. I got to the counter, ordered my food (my standard "go to" meal here is the turkey on country bread w/chips and an Acai Berry Iced Tea), and went down to find a table. I will admit that I occasionally find Panera as a chain to be a tad frustrating because their design isn't particularly wheelchair friendly. This is especially true if they're crowded, but today I arrived just after the lunchtime rush and was able to find a decent spot. There were a couple rather unusual issues of note - 1) The table was dirty and 2) The beverage area was cluttered. This is unusual for Panera as they usually keep on top of things, but I'm guessing they hadn't made it out from the lunch rush. Have I mentioned how much I dislike their tall counters where you pick up food? Again, they aren't wheelchair friendly. At my usual Panera, I can always depend on assistance if needed. At this Panera, there's barely even an acknowledgement you're at the counter. They'd forgotten the bag of chips, but at least fixed that one right away. Panera has plenty of accessible parking, though I have noticed fairly consistently that it's not used appropriately (ie, individuals without appropriate ID park there). The food itself was good, though the bread was just a touch hard and the cinnamon roll I picked as a $.99 bakery item tasted like it had been out for awhile. It wasn't so much that either one was bad, but they simply weren't as good as usual and considering Panera is a bit more expensive than most fast or fast casual places, I do expect consistency. I did accomplish my mission of being able to enjoy my magazines, relax with a meal, and soak in some quiet. That was great and I was also surrounded by several really friendly customers who made the experience even more pleasant. If you like Panera, this one works. They now have the express stands for online orders and such. Staff is nice, interior: what you'd expect at a Panera. What caught my eye last time: they had both pink AND yellow tulip cookies--those dreamy shortbread cookies, covered in my favorite icing. I also noticed at this one, there were 3 different iced teas on offer. Parking lot is a bit weirdly configured, but I'll still brave it. Do wish they had a drive thru. read more

I am disappointed in the lack of care given to an order. This location cannot make a specialty coffee which they did acknowledge and often leave something out of an order. The lettuce was not fresh tonight and the bread was just torn off. If I had not ask, it would not have been added. I've even received partial orders. What happened to customer service? And 'charged' lemonade should say caffeine lemonade so that anyone who should not have caffeine wouldn't. Thankfully I did not drink it all. For $18, it was not worth it. 56th St. Indianapolis seems to be the only reliable location. I will avoid 96th St and I recommend others do as well. And I really like Panera. Sad. read more

Not a bad location. It's great that's it right across from work so I can walk there instead of driving. Had them cater my promotion ceremony and I made an adjustment online as I was instructed. Downside to that is, I don't think they take effect right away. The day my order was picked up there were only 20 sandwiches instead of the 30 I adjusted my order to. On top of that, I had two pending charges on my account, one for the original order and one for the adjusted order. Luckily, I used my credit card and had a big enough balance to where it didn't cause any hardship. It did waste time and I didn't have enough food for my ceremony. They had me speak to the driver that insisted he delivered it but I can't just make it appear. So, he says he will get another order out to me. When I got back to class and began to eat my lunch, two bites in I pulled a long dark hair out of my sandwich. I contacted Panera online and told them about the hair in my sandwich, and I never received a reply of any kind. I was hoping to just write an email and have it be addressed by the appropriate party and have it be taken care of without a public post. However, this was not the case.
