Who would be able to eat something like that? Terribly disappointed.

Who would be able to eat something like that? Terribly disappointed. It horrifies me to think what else they might have ruined and are serving.

Ghost town- entrance to Panera through the mall

I have been to this location at Broadway Mall a gazillion times. I studied here throughout college and also when I needed to take my boards. This was my go-to place! It's your run of the mill mediocre chain food. You know exactly what you are getting when you come to Panera. It's never fantastic lol but it's quick and somewhat healthy depending on what you get. Sometimes my chicken will still be frozen in my salads and sometimes I will get that occasional rotten piece of lettuce. Side note- kind of sad to see Broadway mall empty out like this. I hope its replacement will be amazing. Silent cryyy

Its always well kept, service is great, food is made fresh. I do wish there was more of a seating area inside though. It can get pretty crowded in here and finding a seat is like finding gold sometimes.

Located in the Broadway Mall, a small external presence but inside is a reasonably sized space, had plenty of the bakery goods available at 3:00 on a Friday. Steph was funny, asked me if I wanted a specific croissant out of the five that were there, apparently people are very picky about which one they get out of the stack....

This is a nice, clean, no fuss Panera restaurant located at the east entrance to the Broadway Mall in Hicksville. Sunday at 2 pm: Manager in Training Nick ( orange shirt) was cleaning the front windows and opened the door welcoming us. Tifany was the nice and patient young lady who gave us the great combo mix and match options and took our order. The food came out quickly and it was hot. The soups were delicious especially the new Thai Chicken. They nailed it as far as ingredients popping together for a great soup. The accompanying French baguette was tasty, fresh and a nice sized piece. The warm Baja bowl with quinoa, veggies, feta cheese and this killer Salsa Verde dressing was really good. The bbq chicken sandwich had a nice portion of white meat and my mother especially enjoyed the grilled and buttered toast it came on. There are 4 self service stations to place orders as you walk in from the mall. You pick up the order when notified with the buzzer when ready. The coffee station and the soda area are all self serve and very convenient. The three ladies working that pick up station prepping the food were happy, fun and just so nice. I asked for extra Salsa Verde dressing for my bowl and they immediately got me a large container. Our table was cleared in a matter of seconds by Nick who was wiping down the area. The restrooms were immaculate and stocked. There was a sweet elderly couple to our right enjoying their soups and then their coffees and fresh cookies. 3 young ladies were to our left loving on their fresh flatbread as they chatted. Love Panera Bread's ever changing breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and combos which allowed us to enjoy 2 items each for under $11 per person. There is loads of mall parking. This restaurant has a nice catering menu. 5 Star experience!!!

Iced tea and the Chipotle chicken scrambled egg sandwich. Delicious

I absolutely love this breakfast menu. Always has great coffee and quality food. The service is always friendly and fast. Easy going vibes inside and nice and cozy feel to the interior. Great place to get some homework or research done.

Popped in with my daughter for lunch and the service was outstanding! The manager was out greeting and conversing with everyone, bringing their orders to the table. I've never been treated with such genuine hospitality in any other Panera! Plus the food came out with lightning spWill return.

    How?!! Broth bowl without broth!
    Yahfi T.

Keeps forgetting things on my mobile order. I call them to rectify it and they say they are too busy to get the manager on the phone. How do you forget to put the broth on a broth bowl!!!!! Terrible service. Incompetent staff.

Bad service. I did a pick up order and they did not give me half of what I order. I was only given a soup but no spoon.

Not bad, typical Panera fare and normally pretty busy. Convenient and healthy though for mall eats.

The inside is very millennial style with the grey and black ambiance. It's pretty open spatially and there's a menu on the wall. They make their own brewed iced tea. Their sandwiches are pretty clear in description. I dislike that the chicken sandwich pastrami sauce has pork in it, so anyone who avoids pig products like the plague needs to inform them when making the order. The sandwich itself was pretty good. The bread didn't cause my lips to flare up like other yeasts do. They didn't go heavy on the balsamic vinaigrette. The workers came out to greet me and give me a tour even though it's pretty self explanatory. After the drinks refrigerator and sandwiches menu, there are three additional menus for sides, fruit/veggie smoothies and protein smoothies. I ordered a chocolate protein smoothie and the cups they have are larger than the portions they serve. They apologized like it was an inconvenience to me, but actually I was happy that I didn't have to worry about any overflow or spillage. I think it's great that it's a tad bigger. I also bought a pan de nata to try. They forgot to add the cinnamon, but it didn't need it. It was done to perfection. Bakers of All Nations in Mineola now has some good competition. On the walls surrounding the smoothie bar and dining area there's a mural that explains the type of cuisine you're getting and about the chef's travels. It's kind of neat. Happy eats!

Locals were strolling in for sandwiches and salads. Highly recommend going with the delicious Portuguese styled bread either on the side or sandwiches. Below are some of the Smartwich team which includes also includes a nephew and and uncle / founder.. This is a family business with the founder is a brother of one of the top local Italian bakeries in Nassau. The bakery also provided the start up space originally in Hicksville during the incubator phase. It makes perfect sense when you have a delicious warm crispy Portuguese roll for the sandwiches. This talented brother had many years in the food industry in Portugal and is a fan of their crispy styled bread/rolls. They are now made right here. Sandwiches are nicely made, fresh, flavorful and a step above the generic sandwich places. Elevated flavors and dressed with a nice vinaigrette. Lots of choices. We started with the popular and will venture out to the more creative. Sardines and octopus looked good but can wait until another day.

House of Heros totally lives up to the hype. We were super excited to try their sandwiches (well,…read morein our case wraps because of a corn allergy), and it definitely did not disappoint!!! The Godzilla (crispy pork, cabbage/carrot slaw, with tonkatsu sauce) was packed with thin slices of perfectly fried pork. The tonkotsu sauce was slightly sweet and tangy, and the carrot and cabbage slaw was very complementary to the plethora of pork. The only change I would make next time is perhaps adding some onions (personal preference) and ask for some extra sauce. The Crispy Cuban was also fantastic spin to the classic. Again, packed with crispy pork, the sandwich was then filled with the perfect amount of ham, melty Swiss, and mustard. Nothing felt heavy. I wish I had seen the list of sides before we ordered. The homemade tater tots look amazing. Before we left, my boyfriend and I grabbed a menu and have decided to check off each one we order every week go. You can bet we will be returning soon!

They make the chicken fresh to order which is nice. My only complaint is the cheese wasn't melted as requested. Bread was fresh as was the avacado. Service was friendly and seemed family run. The place is smaller but they do have some tables to sit and eat at. Deli as a whole was clean.
