Overall experience is very good the salad is fresh and tasty. My wife and I go there often for takeout we both always get the same thing. Same toppings ingredients etc. however the price varies by as much as $5. Normally we pay about $31 and change The last time it was $36 and change almost $20 per salad is kind of expensive since my wife salad doesn't even have any meat in it and mine just has some chicken. Well I decided to give Chopt another try. I first went soon after it opened in Woodbury and at that time, service was friendly but I was disappointed in the size of my salad for the money. This time unfortunately I was disappointed again and so I fear this may be my last time. I wanted to get the " make your own salad". You pick the salad base you want, which was fine although ARUGALA is extra. Then you get to pick 4 toppings which is put in a small scoop, maybe a tablespoon or 2. I asked for a little more scallions and then was told that it counts as 2 toppings. The server was in a hurry even though no one was in the restaurant at that time and she wasn't able to explain much , was pretty quick . The toppings are pretty minesquel. So in the future you are probably better off getting their pre set salads, as they have more ingredients and might be a better value. I saw they had some bread baskets inside the glass, so I asked if they have bread. She quickly went to a pile of bread that was prepackaged and ready to distribute. I was looking for cutlery which the receptacle was empty. I grabbed some that I saw behind the counter . Another server was talking on the phone , I think to a customer who had a complaint . So In conclusion, The service was poor and unfriendly, the salad although fresh and decent size , was not great unless you pay a lot of money to add more ingredients for a make your own salad, and the servers never offered bread or cutlery. In the end, it would have been much better had I gone to any of the local bagel stores who have a chopped salad available with unlimited toppings for the same or less money. I used to love the Woodbury location but haven't been for a while. Decided to go for lunch on Sunday. First of all the parking lot was EMPTY. The person who made our food was not the nicest. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tried sitting outside and found a ton of latern bugs. When I saw one walking on my shoulder, we were out of there![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To be clear, they are outside and I never saw a bug inside. I always get my dressing on the side and the lettuce in my salad was clearly old and damaged. Maybe they no longer do the volume they used to and the lettuce sits longer than it should.?? I was in the mood for something light and tasty and so I figured Chopt would do the trick. I ordered online thinking it would be easier on a Sunday especially with it only being a couple of minutes drive from home. The app sent a notification that it was ready for pickup. We arrive to an empty parking lot and empty store only to find that the store was still scrambling to finish the order. In all honesty the food was rushed and not mixed in thoroughly which is essentially the whole Chopt experience. The chicken did not taste fresh either. Depending on the salad you choose it could honestly be a hit or miss depending on your taste, but santa fe right here is amazing! It's spicy so if you're low tolerant to it just ask for little. I love their service and the people there are so sweet. they chop the salad up real good. It's also unlimited sauces so that is my favorite feature. The setting is very clean, tidy and nice. I came here the other night with my other half. Having it bookmarked for months and being in the mood for something healthy brought us in last week! The concept is very simple. Pick one of their signature salads or create your own salad. They put it in a big bowl and chop it all up! Dressing chopped in or on the side...and your salad or warm bowl is ready. By chopping it all up, you basically get a taste of everything in each bite. I went with Cobb salad and my boyfriend went with chicken tinga bowl. Both were super delicious and we both enjoyed each bite of our selection. It was about $23. My boyfriend did add two extra ingredients to his. Extra ingredients are $0.79 each. So it can add up. Highly recommended. Makes eating healthy easy. Lots of veggie options. Multiple protein options available as well. All workers were very friendly. read more

People on LI just don't know how to make a decent salad so when I saw Chopt was open and I was in the area I knew I had to stop in. The line was long but it was lunchtime so it was understandable. I had the orchard salad and it was delicious, as well as perfectly made. They don't skimp on ingredients here, which is nice. For $11 you get a salad that could easily last you two days. I have always loved Chopt and often go to the location in the city which is far busier but they really do not disappoint. Everytime I have come in to pickup my salad at this location being it's close to my house, it's always been so frustrating and disappointing with how little of everything they put for a $20 salad. I have never bothered with the review before giving it another chance every time. But it happened again yesterday, I came in around 3:30pm when it was completely dead not rush hour, I got the fall hummus bowl and the lady prepping my salad put half a tiny spoon for hummus / half a tiny spoon of pita chips and barely any onions. My bowl was basically just kale.. now sure what I was paying for. When I asked her to add a little more hummus/chips.. she was not very pleased. I'm sorry but if I'm buying a $20 salad I do expect to have all the toppings well portioned. Just to add - I got bread along with my salad but noticed there were flies the fruit flies on bread (through the glass) since the basket is visible. As soon as I noticed - I had to leave my bread there.. there was no way I was taking it..that's not ok. I do love chopt - but definitely not this location. read more

I'm not the girl who would ever order salad as my meal in any occasion. Why eat greens when I can pay the same, if not less, for something like a delicious burger with fries?! However I've always been curious of people's obsessions with fancy salad bars such as Sweetgreen, etc. I personally have never heard of Chopt, but I reluctantly agreed to order from here when my husband suggested it - simply because I didn't want to deal with figuring out where or what to eat for lunch. And I'm so glad I did! I ordered the southwest hatch chili pork and it was FIYAH! Packed with yumminess in every bite, large portion, and the best part is that its HEALTHY (or so I like to tell myself...). Can't wait to come back to try other bowls. Came here with my friend for dinner and it was super empty so no line and service was fast. The person making our salads was not very friendly though. I got the Chinese Chicken bowl, which was super tasty and the chicken super tender! But while our food was good, there were soooo many fruit flies. And it's winter so to have fruit flies all over us while eating was pretty annoying and gross. Maybe I should've saw it coming, but a lot of my chopped lettuce was really just bruised and the leafs were chopped so small it almost felt ridiculous. I've heard a lot about Chopt, like from people who are obsessed with it, but I honestly thought it was just an overpriced salad containing mostly lettuce... There's a bunch of salads you can choose from on the menu, or you can create your own. I picked a salad from the menu, and I found that it was a giant, and I mean GIANT, container of lettuce. The other toppings were placed on so sparingly. It's not cheap either. Overall, I was a bit disappointed because I really would love to find a good salad spot. What is be point of coming here anymore- wasn't half of the reason the experience? They got rid of the spicy grilled chicken and now only have curry chicken, grilled chicken or fried chicken. I really like Chopt. Today I went for lunch as per the recommendation from my friend and it was delicious! It is similar to chipotle in the sense that you pick what you like and it is assembled in front of you. The restaurant itself is nice and clean. They have a really great menu- and it tastes great too. I had the Chinese Chicken warm grain bowl and the flavors were absolutely amazing. The food was so fresh, and I also really liked the lemonade. Love a healthy concept, I really do. I think that we need more places like this but I also think they should be a little bit less expensive an additionally not be so stingy with the healthy ingredients. Came in around 12ish on a Thursday afternoon and the place was surprisingly fairly empty; plenty of booths and seating up against the window, there were also a few people enjoying lunch outside. There were four or so people behind the line working and so many ingredients to choose from. They had ready made salad options you could pick if you didn't feel like building your own or you could mix and match. I opted for mixing and matching and did a salad with kale and spinach. The woman behind the counter was irritated for whatever reason, maybe having a bad day not sure. I added broccoli, beets, quinoa, grilled chicken and tomatoes. The amount they give you is very very little, I mean very little, when my salad was chopped up and put into the bowl it was literally a bowl of kale and spinach and every once in a while I'd get a surprise bite with a small piece of something in it. So for $13, I think there needed to be a little more considering I could go to Trader Joes and buy a massive bag of kale for $3. Just saying. So they have so many different kinds of dressings and I really loved that they were separated in categories indicating whether they were light in calories, etc. Each dressing stated the caloric amount next to them per serving. I'll tell you, the serving size they give you is probably three times the normal serving size so just consider that. I inquired about the dressings and asked whether or not they were gluten free but the people behind the counter had no idea what I was asking and so they just stared back at me. I repeated my question and asked if they were gluten free and again they stared until I asked if they could ask someone who knew. If the dressing sign had indicated they were gluten free I wouldn't have had to ask. Anyways, someone who I'm assuming was the manager came out and told me all the dressings were gluten free, he too however had to go in the back and ask. So just so everyone knows, all their dressings are gluten free, which is awesome and also I'm slightly skeptical of that considering some had soy in them, anyways. I got the sriracha tzatziki, sounded intriguing and it was delicious. I also tried the geek yogurt tzatziki, tasted like nothing I wanted to try ever again. Can't win em all. If you are into salads, Then Chopt is definetly the place for you. It is similar serving style to chipotle were you go from station to station. The menu itself looks a bit confusing, But i decided on a make my own salad. I had romaine lettuce carrots, beets, cucumber, tomatoes and chicken. They have a huge list of different dressings to choose from, I choose balsamic vinaigrette. The place is huge with tons of seating inside and out. The staff are fast and friendly and very helpful and overall service is great. I would definitely go again and recommend Chopt to anyone in the area who is looking for a good salad. read more

In the middle of a leisurely north shore shopping center.. is a hustling bustling fast serve chopped salad bar. Line to the door, assembly line counter help, a super greeter at the door, that intervened when I looked in and almost went back out.. Pleasantly surprised to see lots of good salad options. I felt tired after eating the bacon, and dense salad dressing on the Cobb salad I went for. Recommending going lighter. Food was fresh & far far better than a Panera, or Grand Luxe lunch salad.
