While on a business trip to Long Island, I craved something a bit more healthy than fast food. I stumbled upon this location of Organic Krush Kitchen and decided to check it out for breakfast. OKK is a woman-owned business that prides itself on locally-sourced food without hormones, GMO's or pesticides. The space is located in retail space, with plenty of parking. I walked in to the light, bright, and happy-feel-good space and was greeted by a friendly woman who took my order. I decided to go with the Vegan Smashed Avocado Toast and the Nutty Buddy Smoothie. I took a seat on one of the colorful and comfortable seats and modern rustic tables. A few moments later, my Nutty Butty Smoothie was delivered. The smoothie was tasty (Banana, Peanut Butter, Vanilla Vegas Protein, Raw Cacao and Almond Milk). I like that it was not too sweet, but felt that it was lacking a lot of peanut butter flavor. Perhaps an additional scoop was needed? The Vegan Smashed Avocado Toast arrived next. The presentation was super colorful and looked delicious. Gluten-free bread, Smashed Avocado, Sweet Potatoes, Pico de Gallo and Cilantro. This was quite good. I thought the avocado and sweet potato were delicious, and combined with the acidity of the pico de gallo was a great combination. Overall, a very healthy and tasty breakfast option. Nice healthy eatery spot in this newer shopping center. There are plenty of fresh, healthy options for lunch. I did a create your own bowl, which was rather large and tasted great. I came late in the afternoon, a couple of hours before the store would close for the holiday. This Organic option didn't hit the spot for me, however many people love this spot. This fast casual spot is located in the countre pointe development in plainview which has a large indoor and outdoor seating section perfect for large groups and kids who want to eat healthier. All the food here is organic and has a healthy focus which is really nice to see. The ingredients were super fresh and very high quality but I just thought it lacked flavor which i guess is expected for healthier options but I feel like they could spice up the rice and meat. The atmosphere and Ambience is nice I like it, inviting. However the staff is mute, nobody greats you upon arriving, it's a self service ordering system that. Thank god I have common sense. They have a nice relaxing chill seating to wait for your order. The price point for quality of food is right in my opinion. The smoothie bowl wasn't a hit for me I don't know how I feel about the frozen mangos granite everything seems fresh and made to order just definitely not the mango's lol that were half way frozen the salad/bowl is served with a small dressing to small for me. While I'm a carnivore at heart, this place does make you re-think what to eat considering so many healthier options with or without protein (steak and shrimp options available). I happened to come upon this place by accident because I was looking for a neighboring business. Changed my mind once I saw this place from my parking spot. Ended up buying everything I wanted here. The selection is fantastic - serves breakfast all day (who doesn't love that) and offers custom (choose your own base and proteins) lunch or dinner fare. I was impressed with the daily specials menu because everything sounded delicious. Onto the food: I loved the Breakfast Skillet Hash from the weekend menu. That was a bowl of sauteed Bell peppers, brussel sprouts, kale, red onion, potatoes and bacon topped with two fried eggs. Even my kiddo ate it! - ordered the Mexi steak as an entree so I opted for sauteed spinach as my base. The steak was grilled medium rare, very pink, which I loved. It's a grilled grass fed skirt steak served with black beans, spinach, grilled pineapple, pico de gallo and comes with a side of chipotle lime crema dressing. A very complete meal and the sweetness of the pineapple really ties the flavors together. - Another dish I ordered to go was the Coconut Shrimp as a bowl with brown rice; hubby didn't love it but that was because it didn't travel well. And he forgot to add in the dressing that was on the side. But mainly because the shrimp didn't taste that fresh but again, I'll chalk it up to the travel time. I also didn't re-heat it when I got home (40 mins later). Had errands to run! - Must try drink: the Wellness Tea. Contains cold-pressed apple, turmeric, Ginger, lemon, cayenne, cinnamon - I had it hot. You can choose cold as well. The drink menu overall offers wellness boosters, smoothies, lattes, teas, coffees, alcoholic beverages and assorted bottled drinks. Lots to choose from. Wanted something different and healthy for lunch. This place is nearby, and I've passed it numerous times...my visit was long overdue. After looking over the menu I decided I would create my own "Krush." You pick your base and then add-ins/proteins. Bases include grains or veggies. Add-ins are mostly veggies. Then you choose a sauce. I decided to make a vegetarian bowl. My base was sautéed spinach. For my add-ins (you get 4 per Krush...) I chose roasted tomatoes, roasted zucchini, sautéed broccoli, and more sautéed spinach. For my protein I chose avocado. The serving size was HUGE. I have leftovers for another meal. Plus the amount of avocado was generous. I was given a full avocado. Now the flavors... Flavors were wonderful! Wasn't overbearing or anything at all. Pickup was flawless. Due to the current pandemic, the inside is closed. You walk in and they have tables set up for pick up right at the door. When I arrived my order wasn't ready yet. One of the workers told me they would bring it out to me when it was ready. I went back outside and waited in my car. There was a table right outside as well. Within a few minutes I saw a worker place an order on the table. Other customers were waiting in their car as well. However, she made eye contact with me so I knew it was my order. It's really hard to come by food that's both healthy and delicious. Organic Krush really crushes any cravings you might have in a way that's guilt free. Before I talk food, I need to talk atmosphere. The one word that comes to mind when describing this place is "cheerful". The bright blue and yellow that darns the walls is very inviting. In the center is a wide open area with seating if you choose to dine in. All the table were very clean and I felt comfortable enjoying my food right there. The staff was also very warm and welcoming. Now the question is "What do I grab to eat?" Let's start with the juices. As you walk up to order food, on your right you will pass a refrigerator full of juices and to-go meals. What I really love about this section is you know everything is fresh because it's stamped with a date for when it's fresh til. If you purchase a juice on its last day of freshness then you receive a certain percentage off its price. Being a fan of green juices, I chose to try "Liberation" while my friend tried "Smooth Sailing". I thought, and my friend agreed, that they were both pretty tasty. We paired our juices with a Mexi Steak Bowl and the Austin Chicken on gluten free bread. You can absolutely taste the freshness in all of the ingredients. Finally, for dessert we had the apple cinnamon gluten free donut/donut holes. Gluten free never tasted so good to me. We played it safe this time around, but you can literally create your own meal to your liking. They also have family size options and daily specials. Got a tasty quinoa brown rice mix with sautéed kale,caramelized onions, yummy black beans, sweet potatoes with these four perfectly cooked falafel cutlets on top doused with one of their almost two dozen dressing options, the coconut peanut. Nourishing, delicious, filling and oh so satisfying. Loved it!! It was so fresh and invigorating. Everything came together really well. My beet juice with carrots, apples, ginger and lemon was fantastic. Really good! All the employees were great: happy, smiling, ready to answer all my questions and assist. Iyana was just so kind and generous as she prepped my bowl and brought it out to my table giving me the option to try other dressings. Yale was the awesome lady with the best handwriting in the world as she wrote the daily specials. Jennifer informed me about the different docs who come in to their locations to do information seminars and to educate the customers on various health related topics as they enjoy the lovely juices, smoothies, soups, frittatas, breakfast all day, wraps, acai bowls, fish and chicken tacos, daily specials etc etc. In fact Dr Pina who has been on Dr Oz 26 times will be at their Roslyn store on Wednesday 12/4 talking about Adrenal Fatigue: why are you so tired and how to get your energy back. I have never seen this before and I love the concept. All around wellness. The business is immaculate. The vibe is so inviting. The music is great. The overall experience - 5 Stars indeed! I enjoyed a late breakfast here this morning. It's a beautiful space. Nicely decorated and clean. The staff was super friendly. I'm gluten and dairy free and there were a ton of options. I also appreciated that there were a lot of paleo options. I ordered the steak and eggs over sweet potato hash. You receive a number to put on your table and your food is brought over to you. The presentation was nice. I wasn't that hungry so I was able to eat half and bring the other half home for a second meal. The flavoring was good. I would probably add a little salt but it's nice that they let you decide that. I would knock maybe a few dollars off the price. Hope a location opens East of here on the south shore. The manager Sara was very friendly, kind and helpful in answering my questions. The Spicy Korean BBQ chicken classic entree I ordered was delicious and fresh. The juices and sodas are also delicious! Lastly I ordered a vegan baked donut for dessert which was phenomenal! Special tip: There are lots of cute tables in a peaceful, sunny, green setting where you can have a leisurely lunch. We sat outside and it was very calming and relaxing. Just one caveat: Just know that in these inflationary times - the bill was not inexpensive. This was the healthiest lunch I could find with vegetarian options near my hotel. Although not the restaurant's fault so I don't dock them for it, it is situated in a shopping plaza that is terrible for pedestrians. I had to walk around the whole plaza to find an entrance not blocked by a fence. I didn't love the menu, to be honest. It was mostly fish, chicken, or steak. I just wanted something vegetarian. I would've had to make my own bowl, a concept I'm over. I want them to suggest the ingredients for me. Instead I just asked for their signature Austin bowl with falafel instead of chicken. It was very good, but I wish it had come with more than two falafel. I feel like if I'd gotten chicken it would've been a bigger portion. read more

I really liked the vegan mochachino we got at this spot. It is located right next to the Tesla charging stations, so it's easy to run in while your car is charging. This drink was organic and used natural maple syrup and cacao as the only sweeteners. It reminded me of a mocha frap from Starbucks, but better! The staff is really nice. Wow! What a breath of fresh air. I stopped into Organic Krush for a solo lunch and absolutely loved it. The interior is spotless with a really colorful yet zen vibe. There is ample parking available. The staff is so professional and takes social distancing/masks/sanitizing the tables seriously. Excellent customer service through and through. They also gave me great guidance to learn about their menu of all organic offerings. Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or a meat-eater, there are a lot of wonderful choices for everyone. The outdoor seating area is super relaxing with lots of space between each table and a tent/umbrellas to give you shade. On a warm, breezy Sunday afternoon, it was perfection. While I was tempted by the breakfast all day options, I had to order the Mexi Steak. Marinated grass-fed steak, black beans, spinach, pineapple, pico de gallo, chipotle lime crema. I love a good steak and theirs was so well seasoned, so tender, and worked so beautifully with all of the other fresh ingredients--especially the bright, sweet pineapple. You order your meal with a choice of base: either on salad, with grain in a bowl, or as a wrap. I went with an orzo pasta base and loved it. You get a ton of food and it's very filling yet still feels healthy. I also am now obsessed with the chipotle lime crema. I don't do well with super spicy foods but the chipotle lime creme had just enough creaminess to balance out the heat and was a nice contrast to the sweetness of some of the other elements on the plate. I had an Iced Coconut Latte made with cold brew, coconut mylk, coconut creamer and cinnamon. So tasty, so well made, and I loved the kick of cinnamon on top.
