I decided to go with the classic Mango Pineapple bowl. There are three different sizes (kids, classic, and super). The Mango Pineapple bowl has blended pineapple, mango, banana and coconut milk layered between SoBoL Granola and topped with strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, coconut, and honey. The bowl was very refreshing and all the fruit was fresh. There are SoBol locations all over New York. The shelves were stocked with chips, shredded coconut, and other items. The server was nice, and they made our açaí bowls quickly, neat and nice! What I love about Playa Bowl is that their base tastes amazing and is creamy, and the portion of fruit is great! They're usually around $16, which is a little expensive compared to other places, but it's definitely worth it. They have so many varieties of bowls with different kinds of base, the acai, Pitaya, green and banana. They also sometimes have seasonal bowl, which right now is the strawberry based bowl :) so you can try different ones each time you visit and find your favorite! I placed an order through their app for 9:15, my husband arrived to pick it up at 9:25 and they claimed they 'remembered making it but someone had already picked it up'. Ok, understood maybe someone did. Mistakes are made, annoying but it happens. The way it was handled after was absolutely unacceptable. He was sitting around for 20 minutes waiting for it to be remade. When he finally went to ask about the status, he was told they have to ask to ask the manager if they can remake it???? Which is not what was originally said to him. He at that point didn't have the time to wait for the manager, so he had to leave. The lack of communication was unappreciated. I called and got the manager, who was extremely rude and claimed none of this was said (my husband had me on speaker phone so I heard them say verbatim that they remember making it but must have given it away and will have to remake it). And that their policy is they CANNOT remake things and my only option is to call my credit card company. Horrible customer service. They have lost a loyal customer. There's plenty of other açaí bowl companies in Babylon now who treat their customers better. That's not how you treat customers.
