Bango was a nice surprise. I had visited another location, unaware that there was one closer to where I live. I appreciated the consistent quality across the board. It was clean. Everything was fresh and tasted great. I ordered online for a quick pick up, and the staff were friendly and prepared my order on time. Although this dish is no longer on the menu, i LOVE the Shrimp Pesto Salad Bowl here! I do not live near Bango Bowls - Bay Shore at all but every time I'm visiting a neighboring county, I MUST come here to get that bowl. I can't speak to any other item because the Shrimp Pesto Salad Bowl is the only thing I've ever gotten but many other options on the menu look great. I usually order to go when I visit but they have a cute setup inside if you want to dine in. They have window bar seating and usually good music playing. Another thing that's awesome is how helpful the staff is. On my most recent visit, I was heartbroken to learn that the Shrimp Pesto Salad Bowl was taken off the menu but the person ringing me up recreated it for me anyway and helped me get and use a discount by downloading the app. This place is awesome in all ways and I look forward to visiting again. read more

Blown away by their protein bowls! The Mediterranean bowl was HUGE! A nice portion of lettuce, quinoa, and seasoned grilled chicken. I was partial to the dressing as well. It was seasoned really well and the chicken wasn't chewy like some places can be. I personally haven't tried anything else except their avocado toast which isn't something I'd go out of my way to get again. I really love Bango Bowls. They have a relatively tight menu of 3-4 juices, smoothies, salads, poke, warm bowls, and cold bowls. All of the items are tasty and well thought out. Everything on the menu I had (smoothies, acai and green bowl, salad, and warm bowls) was delicious. All of this is offered at pretty affordable pricing. Its not cheap but not over priced. And the service is pretty quick but I would recommend ordering ahead of time if you are in a rush. There are so few healthy food places that taste good so bango bowl has a special place in my heart lol. read more

I placed an order on Monday, March 31 st about 4:40 . The waiter had on gloves. I paid the waiter with cash and she returned my change. However, she preceeded to cut my strawberries but never changed her gloves. She made a large acai bowl with the same gloves she had on to take my money. I asked her if she could change and put on new clean gloves. Her response was "Do you want me too "? REALLY ! However, she politely changed her gloves. But when I got home I noticed that my large acai bowl was only half full ! I should have checked before leaving ! I guess that was her way of getting back at me ! Too bad I can't leave ZERO stars! I had the unfortunate absence of mind to order from this place. I ordered their Shrimp Pesto salad which was a joke for what they charged. Even if it was on McDonald's $1 menu, it would still be a dollar too much. It was mostly lettuce with some shaved parmesan, teaspoon of onion and 5, very small, over cooked shrimp. Oh, and the "pesto vinaigrette" was mostly oil with a few dried basil flakes thrown in. Any similarity between that and real pesto dressing is purely coincidental. Additionally, their Very Berry smoothie was below average at best. Needless to say that I'll not make that mistake again; there are so many other better options in Bay Shore. read more

I was greeted immediately upon entering and given time to browse the menu. There were poke bowls and other such lunch items, but I had come for the acai! I got a Bango bowl which came with acai, oats and granola, strawberries, banana, blueberries, coconut and honey and I added in peanut butter. While a bit pricy, the bowl was delicious and all the fruit was fresh tasting. My favorite part was the granola! With most acai bowls the granola tends to get soggy after a while, but not this one! This review is for the poke bowl only. I have never tried the açaí bowls. I really love this spot in our local town. I know that I can get fresh poke and I love the option to create a custom bowl depending on what I'm feelin' that day, or can order off of the menu. Came here with my mother to share a poke bowl around 1:30 in the afternoon. We ordered a poke bowl and a cold brew coffee. The inside is cute, AC was on full blast so we decided to eat elsewhere. Staff was friendly and helpful. The cold brew coffee was actually pretty good. The girl at the counter asked how much milk and ice I wanted which I liked. I also liked that they have the flavoring (vanilla and hazelnut) with the forks and the knives on a separate counter so you're able to add it in as you please. The poke bowl though, was another story! We had the "big eye" tuna bowl. The sauce was a little on overload, and there was only five pieces of tuna in the entire bowl. The majority of the poke bowl was quinoa and the fixings, which was a disappointment. I'd definitely come back for the cold brew because it was very good, but I'd recommend heading across the street to Aji 53 if you're looking for some good sushi. read more

I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I HAD TO FOR THIS! I love their smoothies & used to love their salads but both me and my husband have ordered food here several times and I have found hair in my salads and he found a dead fly in his. It's disgusting!! The staff should wear hairnets and check the food before giving it to customers. They also need better lighting. It's so dim in there, maybe that's why the staff isn't seeing what's going in the food. I keep trying to give them another chance but just today I found a hair in my food for the second time. It's so clean and they have such fresh options... bowls can tend to get a little pricey the more you add in them but that's par for the course and who minds paying when it's actually good... I had a poké bowl with brown rice, naked salmon, seaweed salad, edamame, and sesame seeds... extra spicy mayo of course.. was about $16 but it keeps you full and I ate the entire thing. This is my first time at Bango Bowls and will be my last as I'm very disappointed in my experience and feel as though the cost of my $12 bowl was not worth what I received. Additionally, the girl at the register upcharged me for a "free" topping which was supposed to be included in my 4 free toppings. I tried to tell her but she disagreed with me and wouldn't change it. I received my bowl and once I return to my car I looked at it. I had 6..yes 6..minuscule sweet potato bits in my bowl. I went back in and they said "oh well that's an ounce" and stared at me like I had 3 eyes. I would rather spend $13 at sweetgreen bc at least they load up your salad with toppings. The smoothies are great but it's BIZARRE that they won't make any adjustments to them. I asked if they could add some kale to a smoothie that didn't have kale in it - for my kids who won't eat vegetables that aren't disguised - and they said they could only add or subtract peanut butter or protein. Like, what? I'm literally watching this woman make the smoothie from scratch in front of my eyes. You have kale on the menu in other drinks. You are telling me she can't throw in a handful of kale? I am usually not one to complain but 3/3 times orders are incorrect, something needs to be brought to their attention, especially for the price you pay! Order from here for the first time through Uber Eats. The delivery was timely (no fault of Uber's) but we were missing 2 items we ordered and one item was missing ingredients. We ordered the Thai Crunch bowl, which came with no shrimp, even though it's a listed ingredient on the menu. We also ordered 2 iced teas which did not get delivered.
