Small gem in an easy to miss parking lot. I must say this is very close to true Hawaiin Poke. The marinated fish is excellent. Probably my favorite part is that they have kale noodles! Those are just always awesome. Topping options are limited, but rightfully so. Sauce options are a fair variety. Their utensils come in this little packet of paper with chopsticks, a fork and napkins in there. Very nicely done. The bowls are filled to the brim and pack a great amount of flavor. The location itself is small, but you really dont need much. They have online ordering which is perfect. Ordered online and food was ready before the time they said it would be (unlike other places). Came here for work lunch. Parking right out front, Area not busy at all. Got the volcano and a taro bubble tea. Note all the bubble tea is powder based. The food not that spicy. Two girls in the front very nice no issue. The food however had a lot of sauce but the fish tasted fresh. Could have done with less spicy mayo in my opinion. They give me whole slices of cucumbers, could have been better chopped up. Would come here again but probably build your own bowl and no bubble tea as the bubble tea had such an artificial taste. For what it is especially in Suffolk county its decent but nowhere the quality of queens or actually Hawaii. I used to live closer to this spot and sadly it's a little far from me now. This is by far the best Poke place in the Suffolk area. I always get the kale noodles as a base which is not offered at other places. They have a lot of proteins to pick from. The first time I had Maui Poke, I was stunned how fresh everything tasted. I came here recently passing through and it is still the same. If I lived closer I'd be coming here as often as I used to. Sauces are really good and portion size is awesome. Great poke bowls!! It was super easy to order, you just fill out a piece of paper and hand it to the cashier! Less likely to mess up your order. OOF. Lots to say, well not that much. Maui Poke has such sick reviews so I had to go there. I went on my lunch break earlier this week and when I walked in I saw some girls on the side wall railing filling out paper. I asked them if that's what I do to place an order and they said yes. So, I filled out the sheet of paper indicating what I wanted. The paper was for a build your own bowl so I'm not sure how you would order something straight off their menu, it wasn't clear. I filled out the paper handed it to the woman at the cashier with a big smile and she grabbed it from my hand and said, "NO DRINK!?!?" And I said, "No thank you." Super friendly...... My order was ready within 5 minutes or less, awesome. I got a build your own bowl with quinoa, two proteins (salmon and tuna) cilantro, jalapeño, pickled carrot, red onion, pickled ginger (huge mistake, read why later on) scallions, mango and Hawaiian poke sauce. It came to $16, honestly not cheap at all considering the size. There was no exchange with the staff, it was weird. I paid, I took, I left. Anyways, the bowl had so much quinoa in it, not enough fish. There was a very small serving of tuna and salmon so for the cost, it wasn't justified. I'm eating and enjoying and then boom, a nice black hair right on my pickled ginger. That's when I called it quits. Some people would say oh it's just a hair but I have to stop once I see that. Appetite gone. It's just not something you want in your food. I will give this place another try, maybe, in a while, but gosh darn why did this have to happen my very first visit. Ordered my own combination of things at this establishment and ngl, they did it well! If you're familiar with the Chipotle style poke places, you'll be right at home here. Ordered my own combo which came with salmon, tuna, brown rice, avocado, seaweed (and more!). Everything was fresh and tasty, even the rice was cooked well (and that is so hard to do with brown rice!). Also ordered a classic bubble tea to wash it all down. Heard about this place and bookmarked it. I was in the area so I treated myself to lunch. I was not greeted when I entered. There are papers to place your order. I find that less efficient than just telling the workers on the assembly line what you would like. IMHO, the paper just wastes time as workers are behind the counter just waiting for the paper to be filled out. Because of this, there is also little to no interaction with customers. For my bowl I got spicy salmon, spicy tuna and regular salmon as proteins. For my add-ins I got cucumber, mango, seaweed salad, avocado, and garlic for crunch. Whenever Im visiting my friends in Long Island and craving poke, we always head over to Maui Poke. Located along a busy road, its easy to miss if you're driving too fast, as its tucked in a small strip. The store is usually not busy, but when it is the workers move very quick. The store also has plenty of tables and seats so finding a spot isn't hard at all. The menu is also very straight forward, but if you're ever confused about what to get and/or what sauces go well with your protein, ask the staff! They are super sweet and accommodating and are willing to answer all your questions. When I come, I usually always get a drink here as they also serve great drinks. My go to has been the Jasmine Bubble Tea and/or the Royal Rose Milk Tea. The rose milk tea (4/5) is amazing and very floral which is typically hard to do, but sometimes the sweetness varies a lot. The Jasmine tea (4/5) is definitely a more muted taste and not very strong. If you're more interested in a light milk tea, this is a strong option. As for my poke bowl, I always get the Create your own 3 protein large: brown rice, salmon, spicy tuna, eel with the Hawaiian poke and spicy mayo sauces (4/5). I really enjoy building my own bowls here, they have many vegetables options, the only downside is the ratio of rice to everything is very off; way too much rice. Overall, I aways anticipate great food whenever I stop by. Highly recommend Poke place in this area! read more

Awesome new pokebowl place! It's located in a small shopping center in Commack and has a reasonably sized parking lot. I've been here twice now and it has become my new favorite pokebowl place :) The staff was extremely helpful and allowed us to sample the different sauces they had to offer. My favorite so far is the Maui chili sauce paired with the ginger sauce. I typically make the same custom bowl of salmon. My brother tried the volcano bowl last time and really liked it. I've been to a few different poke bowl places and these people by far have more variety and taste the freshest - hands down! If you use cash, you save 10% on your order, too. I had the volcano poke bowl today. It failed for the following reason. The salmon was good. Nice sized chunks. The spicy salmon and spicy tuna were both masses of white, stringy mush. I looked closely and nothing in those two proteins resembled what they were claimed to be. I complained and was told the whiteness was from mayonnaise. I told them that it did not appear to be fish. Interestingly, there are photos in their gallery that show "spicy tuna" as chunks of tuna with a light sauce on it. It was all tasty enough to try again but next time I go in, I'm going to ask them to take the chunks of tuna and the chunks of salmon and chop it up before my eyes to turn it into the spicy versions. Great poke bowls! I get pretty much the same bowl every time and it never disappoints. I mostly order off Uber Eats, but the few times I have actually gone inside, the place is clean and the staff is nice. Depending on the time of day, getting in and out of the parking lot can be challenging but that is to no fault of the restaurant. The sushi is by no means the best sushi I have ever had, but it still tasty and fresh. I don't like their kimchi (and I love kimchi) but the other toppings are delicious. Stopped by on a whim after passing Maui Poke while driving - from the outside it's very unassuming but inside is cute, clean, and we'll organized. You order by filling out one of the sheets if making build-your-own, or can select from on of their signature bowls. The staff was super friendly, and receptive to my sesame allergy which is something I was nervous about! They have a lot of allergen and vegetarian friendly options to choose from! The only thing that's holding me back a bit is the cost. Quality is great, but for a bowl (plus avocado) it was nearly $20, so definitely more of a splurge item. read more

My wife and I got the make your own poke bowl for $12. The board outlines out all the steps starting from rice or salad as step 1, going into picking your proteins as step 2. For proteins, I got the tuna and salmon. There are some specialty proteins with an up-charge of $2-3. The final dish definitely has some weight to it. The portion is worth the money for sure. I do think they're a bit heavy handed on the topping portion that it takes away from the protein in the bowls. I got the salmon and spicy salmon as protein. I created my own bowl with 2 proteins and although the food was good, the amount of proteins they gave me was so small. I got tuna and salmon and there was just a mere few pieces of salmon and a few more than that of the tuna :/ I'm on a poke bowl kick and recently tried another place in the area, I got much more fish at the other place. But this place is nice because you order what you want by circling things on a menu and handing it to the people behind the counter and they make it. This place also has an array of delicious sounding beverages. I got one to try, the grapefruit jasmine fruits tea. Tasty, not sure what's in these drinks. I saw a bunch of gel and powders . The burrito was a nice option since most places won't do it or they are in the city. I'm pretty happy and there are so many options for bowls, burritos, and salad.
