I have to say I am a SoBol customer once again because of my experience here. The bowl was so so delicious. The girls working the counter were pleasant and my bowl was made perfectly. I had gone to another one in another town and I got a big bowl of just granola. Not the case here. The fruit was fresh the açaí was delicious and perfect portions. I personally love SoBol, especially after yoga class. The "regular" size is plenty filling. I always add flax seed, sometimes I add almond butter. It's a gluten free (although the oats are made in a factory where gluten products are present), vitamin rich meal. I would eat it everyday if the sugar from the fruit wasn't so high. I validate the sugar by telling myself it's natural. In a traditional bowl you will get granola, açaí, blueberries, strawberries, banana, and coconut flakes. I believe there is also a more mango-y tropical bowl as well, not as sweet as the straw/blueberry one, but I've heard it's tasty. You can add toppings like I mentioned (flax seed, chia seed, hemp seed, almond butter, peanut butter, etc.); be careful, toppings can add up quickly - both financially and calorie wise. read more

The place is aesthetically pleasing and can do everything right but the Açaí. I might be a little biased because I am Brazilian and frequently have Açaí in Brazil but it still isn't close to the actual thing. I would say for anyone who lives nearby to visit because it is better than red mango or anything similar. read more

The atmosphere here is pretty nice. I came by around 7pm on a weekday and it was pretty busy, but there were still seats available. Full disclaimer: I love açaí, I'm Brazilian, and I've had açaí in Brazil. With that said, I was a little disappointed with his place. The açaí had lots of fruit and the granola was delicious, but the purée itself tasted a bit watered down and there wasn't much açaí flavor. Huge fan of sobol, but I'll never go back to this location. I placed an order, the screen asked me to choose a tip (unlike the other locations) so I tipped to make it not awkward. When the shake came out it was the wrong size, so I asked for the larger size I ordered. The other girl working there also pointed out that it looked like she forgot the protein powder as well. I gladly paid again to get the larger size and protein powder that I originally ordered- no problem. But then I asked if she could remake it and she said she's just going to add more to what she already made. It didn't sit right with me, since she got it so wrong the first time. So I ended up saying it's ok, I don't want the shake if you can't make it correctly. She just stared at me without offering a refund so I just left with nothing after paying, tipping and running my card TWICE for her mistake! I drove 3 miles north to the next sobol and they made the shake no problem, much friendlier with no eye rolls this time :) read more

I was reluctant at first to try acai at first but once I did try it I knew I'd be having this on a weekly basis if not more. The regular açaí bowls are amazing! But here is where my gripe is, I cannot have soy, which is an added ingredient they add in the açaí mix. But I do not appreciate the up charge that they force me to pay to not to have soy at this location. Instead of paying $7 and change, I have to pay $9 to have a regular açaí bowl without soy milk. Other SoBol's have not upcharged me to accommodate not having soy. I don't care about replacing it with coconut or almond milk for the upcharge. Water is fine, and i'd actually prefer it, but they told me that it wasn't allowed! That part is ridiculous to me and the principle alone keeps me from coming back. Update: so wantagh Sobol, they actually stopped charging me for no milks, and I noticed a much better taste quality with the açaí mix! Thank you!! A+++ read more

Love this place! So happy they finally decided to make one in wantagh. I've gone several times, and gotten their original bowl each time. It's awesome! You can do different blends as well, and customize it with different fruit toppings. They make all their own butters like cookie butter and peanut butter, and they have Nutella as well. They also make smoothies which I've never had but I'm sure are just as good as the bowls. Their granola is really good too. The service is always super fast whenever I've gone. It's sad to write this because this was my favorite SoBol but it was just a terrible experience. I got a regular acai bowl tonight and it was horrible. The acai was beyond soupy which was the least of the problems. It tasted horrible and the girl barely put any granola in it. I felt bad for the girl in the front because 3 people walked in as they were almost closing but I've worked in the food industry and you have to put on a good face and deal with it. I would recommend having a conversation with her since giving dirty looks to the people who pay the business for you to get paid isn't okay. This place has the most delicious acaí I've ever tried! Hands down! It's so fresh, and it's so good. The fruit on top is always perfectly ripe, and the in-house made peanut butter in incredible. However, I get the super sized bowl (approximately a quart) and I'm still not full when I get it. Maybe I'm just not great at the whole healthy lifestyle thing, but it just seems like never enough food. That's the only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars and not 5. The people are always friendly and energetic. The vibes/music is always great. There is an overarching ambience of health going on at this place and it's clearly becoming a lifestyle. Call me a basic you-know-what, but I love my Açaí bowls and Sobol definitely knows how to put together a delicious one. The bowls consists of their homemade granola which has chopped cashews in it (you can opt for nut-free granola if you have allergies), perfectly smooth blend of açaí, another layer of that insanely tasty granola, diced strawberries, blueberries, sliced bananas, and is topped off with shredded coconut and drizzled with clover honey. P E R F E C T I O N. Their are several topping you can add to your bowl for an additional charge as well as choose if you want your açaí blended with almond, coconut, apple juice or just stick with the soy milk that is generally used. I always opt for the almond milk blend. On my bowl I add Sobol's homemade peanut butter, it's literally the best peanut butter I have ever tasted in my life. Sobol does have several locations as seem to be popping up more and more so you should have no trouble finding one in your area. read more
