I requested for the mango to be switched out for strawberries and the worker blessed it. They do charge extra for that. Everything was so good, this might be my new go to for a bite. My friend and I met up at SoBol Melville located in Clock Tower Plaza on a Friday morning at 8:45am. Parking lot has plenty of spaces and was easy. Other businesses are in the shopping plaza as well. Inside, there are a few tables along the wall and countertop seats. There was no line when we arrived. When I looked at the bowls, so many of them looked and sounded so good. The Pitaya (dragon fruit), Mango Pineapple, and Coconut bowls called out to me. I decided to go with the classic Mango Pineapple bowl. There are three different sizes (kids, classic, and super). The Mango Pineapple bowl has blended pineapple, mango, banana and coconut milk layered between SoBoL Granola and topped with strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, coconut, and honey. The bowl was very refreshing and all the fruit was fresh. There are SoBol locations all over New York. The shelves were stocked with chips, shredded coconut, and other items. Cashier was friendly and our bowls were ready in no time. We grabbed a table and stayed for about an hour. A couple of customers came in for pickup and to order. It is difficult to understand how whoever owns this business can have only one employee on Sunday when 10 customers are on the line to be serve and the only employee in running around trying to help everyone including pi up order. 30 minutes waiting to get a simple order that every where else can be in 5 minutes read more

Stopped in with my daughter, we usually make açaí bowls at home but decided to treat ourselves today. She got the Pitaya and I got the açaí. The store was very very clean and the woman who helped us was very nice and friendly, she put our bold together quickly. They have tables outside so we sat there. Our bowls were both very good and very pretty! When it comes to açaí bowls, I think it is important that they look nice. Next time I will ask for much less granola because there seemed to be a lot but that is just personal preference. The only reason why I'm not giving this place the full 5 stars is that I think the bowls should come standard with a certain amount of toppings that the customer can choose themselves. I liked what came standard on mine but if I wanted to leave the granola off and add another fruit, it would cost extra and the prices are high enough already. We will definitely be back. read more

I have tried both the açaí and pitaya bowl and both are good. What keeps me from giving five stars is the standard toppings. I don't have açaí all the time but I do have blueberries, bananas and strawberries pretty regularly. As a result I wouldn't want a regular açaí bowl (my preference of the two) that often. If I wanted to customize my bowl, I would have to remove those three standard toppings while still paying for them, and then add three or four dollars onto the price to replace them. If the regular price just included three toppings of my choice, I would be more likely come back more often. read more

Least friendly worker. When I went in to order, the young girl came from behind the back and just stared at me. Didn't say one word or smile the entire time. Once she finished making them she basically just tossed them on the counter and walked away. I had to ask her if I can bag them myself after standing there for 10 seconds thinking she was coming back. I came to this location this past Tuesday with my kids. The first thing we noticed as soon as we walked in was the overwhelming chemical stench, similar to Pine-Sol. It was so strong we could actually taste it. The second thing we noticed was the gentleman behind the counter while friendly, was extremely odd. For one thing despite repeating our order numerous times, he just couldn't seem to get it straight.He just couldn't wrap his head around the fact that we didn't want granola and honey on our açai bowls. He must've repeated it back to me three or four times and I tried to be patient but it was getting ridiculous particularly since we had someplace we needed to be. He also was engaging with the kids in a way that I consider to be inappropriate. They were uncomfortable and so was I. After an excruciatingly long and stressful exchange, we eventually got our food which was actually pretty good. However between the service and the smell, we will certainly not be coming back. Needless to say we got out of there as quickly as possible. Bango bowls here we come! read more
