La Piazza in Plainview is always an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious--everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Chicken primavera is unreal. The chicken is like butter, thin and juicy. What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server, Amber, was amazing. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. It's not often you get both great food and great service, but La Piazza delivered on both. My daughter bumped her head and before we could ask the bus boy brought her ice. Ten-year review update: La Piazza is still excellent but now that there are more locations, there are differences between them and still room for improvement compared to sister restaurant Mama Theresa's Garden City Park. If this is your first time, the two restaurants are very similar, i.e., they have the sweetest, most balanced marinara, making any dish with them delightful (see my chicken parm photos below). But since we're longtime customers, let's talk improvements: The modern chic. It only works where the function isn't impeded. Look at this video of the dressing pourer. It goes everywhere but the salad. The square plates aren't great for the smaller tables. You keep every inch of that place packed, so why lose space on corners when the rounded dishes work so well? We've been ordering from La Piazza regularly and have always enjoyed their delicious food--but tonight, it wasn't the food that inspired us to leave a review. It was the exceptional honesty and integrity of the delivery driver, Eduar. After paying in cash using new bills, we accidentally handed him $300 instead of the intended $100. He could have easily walked away without saying a word, but instead, he immediately texted us upon noticing the mistake and returned to our door within minutes to give back the extra $200. In a time when it's all too easy to assume people will act in their own self-interest, Eduar's actions were a powerful reminder that there are still people who choose to do the right thing simply because it's the right thing. His professionalism, kindness, and integrity made a real impression on us. So, a few buddies of mine highly recommended "La Piazza" in Plainview. They said this place was the best. Because of that glowing recommendation, I had to check it out; but be careful what you recommend. I arrived to a huge parking he lot, so there was plenty of space to park. The outside of the building looked a bit strange, they went with an older look. But inside was another story. I barely walked in before being greeted by the staff. They were so friendly. We joked a bit before I placed my order. I was a little shocked about the price per pizza, but I was hungry so I had to eat. They charged more for credit card swipes, but this is supposed to be amazing pizza. I sat down to eat and to my surprise, none of my friends are accurate. Wait! Hear me out! The Buffalo Slice, had no buffalo flavor..so with that slice, it was bland. I quickly moved on to the Marsala slice. Again, nothing special. I had some spots that were dry. Just to begin a Suzanne is an amazing server. Always greets us with a beautiful smile and great conversation. The bread basket arrives shortly after and its filled with warm crispy Italian bread, garlic knots, Flatbread and pizza pillows. Weboth opted to try a special. I went with the stuffed rigatoni in a pink sauce with fresh basil and it was delicious. The rigatoni was not overstuffed just right. The basil cream sauce was not too heavy which was a delight. My wife chose the halibut in a light leek sauce which was awesome it came with a side of delicious rice pilaf with carrot, corn and zucchini pieces. We keep coming back because of the specials they always come up with something unique and tasty. Great service, great pour and great portions at a very reasonable price for today's standards. This is specifically related to a food order on an app. I ordered 3 slices and a rice ball. They didn't bother to heat anything prior to sending it. The pizza, rice ball, and sauce were ice cold. It looked disgusting the second I opened the tiny box with everything jammed together and on top of one another. Just cold food with a box that barely closed. I had no means to heat the food, so it went to waste. I don't see how you can send food orders with ice cold food that's been sitting....never again. read more

As a Paramedic I am all over long island and the 5 boros. LaPiazza in plainview by far has one of the best slices around. The thin crust and sauce amazing. The pizza though, usually is kind of burnt on the bottom and the bread/crust is thin (which I prefer), but oftentimes it has such a strong burnt taste that there are some parts that are hard to eat. This place is straight up bomb. If you're like me, then you love buffalo chicken. Buffalo chicken wings, buffalo chicken sandwiches, you name it, I love it. Of course, that means a good buffalo chicken pizza is one of my favorite foods out there. And while nearly every pizza joint today is trying to make their version of it, most miss the mark. Poor quality chicken, buffalo sauce that isn't really buffalo sauce, too much ranch or bleu cheese -- there are tons of ways to mess up this slice. But there are a few places that get it right -- really get it right -- and La Piazza is at the top of this list. They are famous for their buffalo chicken, which is just the perfect amount of buffalo sauce, bleu cheese that is not overpowering, and a perfect dough + cheese. It's just the best. This place always has a really good solid cheese slice. I came in today for the Primavera Panini. It has marinated eggplant and zucchini with fresh mozzarella and pesto aïoli on a garlic bun. Oh my goodness it's so good. Will definitely be back for that. My only issue with this place is the customer service is good but there has to be another way or system at the counter for ordering. We have been coming here for years. Predominantly table dining, take out and catering. We have never tried the pizza. I have to say I am a little surprised by some is the recent negative reviews. I can honestly say we have never had a bad meal. The only downside I would say is the small waiting area which is always jam packed with people waiting for the dining room or take out. I like that there is always a choice of at least 3 red and white house wines to have with your dinner. The bread basket always arrives quickly as does the salad if you order one. My favorite is the house salad with shredded mozzarella on top, it is big enough for two. Our go to dishes are the Chicken Rollatini Tuscana, Rigatoni Bolognese and Cavatelli Bolognese. My family and I do support local businesses around our town especially during the pandemic. We have dined-in and ordered from this location more than once throughout the 5 years we have lived here and majority of the time our orders are incorrect or they forget something, or you get an attitude from the hostess or there is a snide remark from one of the guys behind the counter when your ordering or telling them something was incorrect. Like their too busy to help you! Your wondering why we still go there? It's because it close to home, convenient and sometimes places have an off night. Today was the straw that broke the camels back. I ordered a meatball Parm hero and got a meatball parm dish. I wouldn't be writing this review but after I called and was put on hold immediately when they picked up without even acknowledging that I was on the line- waited for a minute and she came back and asked how I could be helped- explained my challenge and then was put back on hold "again." Then the same girl picked up "again" after I was waiting a few minutes and asked how she can help me- I said seriously I just explained and then she said I'm so sorry, put me back on hold "again" and then another woman finally picked up with an attitude saying how can I help you "again" I lost it, I started yelling and my husband took my phone and hung up. Listen the mouthful I was about to give her wasn't going to be nice and people should be treated with respect that I know but I have lost all respect for this place. I think what gets me the most is the lack of customer service then how they can careless you have an issue. If your in a service business and a customer has a problem or gets the wrong food then you should fix it-your next customer can wait. Keep the person who just bought almost $70.00 (tip included) worth of food from you- happy, loyal and coming back. I guess since I'm not one of the regulars I don't get the same respect and my business is not that important. I do not recommend this location at all, this is by far the worst one. If you want to order food do it from Villa Monte in Old Bethpage, service is excellent and the people who answer the phones are so nice (never an attitude) and they have never gotten our order wrong!
