Great Prices, Great Food, Great People! My family absolutely adores this homey Pizzeria. We get pizza from them every week. The interior is very homey, with beautiful photos/paintings of Italy, a nice dim-lit eating room, (or if you're not into that) they also have a brighter area, perfect for the daytime or nighttime. I personally have not had their pasta, but I've heard great things about it. Their prices are fantastic for their portions. Personally, my favorite is the grandma pizza with mozzarella and basil so fresh, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a farm in their storage room. I haven't eaten here for decades. Used to come here when I was a teacher in the neighborhood. Was nice to reconnect with a food memory from the past. Unfortunately, the pizzas are a little short of delicious. I make mine well well done because I want the crust to be crunchy throughout. Well, it seems like no amount of time in the high heat could crisp the middle of their thin Neapolitan slices. The siciliano was similar, though they crisp on the edges as they should. Of course the pool of cheese in the middle says you can't be all happy with this 'Za any way you slice it. Flavor is not popping either; sauce is neither sweet nor zesty. I was about to hit the place order button on Uber eats but the 17.99 veal parmigiana hero price at another restaurant was antithetical to this chronically bristled, early groused, parsimonious diner. Hence, I electronically made my way to Yelp and was smitten by a competitor 10.49 pricing. The veal parm hero/hoagie/grinder on garlic bread was delicious. Nice and crunchy bread, plentiful cheese and a perfect amount of sauce and garlic was really good. Garlic knots were very nicely done, could have been crisped a little more, but were just fine as is. The fries were not soggy. I got it delivered to a residence so the lighting, noise and seating at the restaurant can't be commented on. read more

Ordered our huge pizza and it was simply superb, probably the best I've ever tasted - made fresh there and then. Ended up with some freshly made zeppole - again superb. As a frequent Long Island passer through, time and time again the comparison is unavoidable, so the pizza scales slides away from the extreme ends. Long Island pizza has been snubbed poor and dubbed in second class citizenship standing, and there it shall remain. Part and parcel due to a level of pizza mediocrity and acceptance there of. But why the disparity, heck, Queens is part of Long Island, ain't it? I hold no false hope the bar will ever rise, so here I must review pizza, but not with the same lenses as the pizza all of the five boros has on every fourth block or fifth commercial block and just a few short LIRR stops to the west for me. The spicy Pepperoni caused a raised brow of interest, the meatball slices caused a furrowed brow of disappointment. Match all square at one. The most painstaking short coming of my lunch was the 14 grease infused napkins it took to mop up my slices, Long Island pizza down one. Additional grading penalties could be incurred due to poorly orchestrated pseudo, Italian gumba talk. Long Island pizza, down two. Cheese is cheese, dough is dough, sauce is not just sauce. Mama Lino's tomato sauce must receive a note worthy credit of being high quality, well prepared old style Italian sauce. When you call up, their english is not very strong. This is the perfect place to call if you want your order to be wrong. They pick up the the phone and it sounds like they are fresh off the boat. Placing an order is as much fun as hanging yourself with a rope. If they made you what you ordered then god bless. It's impossible to place an order in 25 minutes or less. Who knows, you may love their pizza and keep coming back. But just remember the guy taking your order will sound like he just smoked a pipe made of crack. read more

He threw the box of food at me and the maintenance man in my building who was fixing the lights had to intervene. He never called or left a voicemail. He is a sicko and needs help. Horrible Customer: We ordered from here almost once a week for over a year. On our last delivery order of buffalo wings we noticed multiple feathers stuck to the wings. We called the restaurant to let them know what happened and they could not care less about resolving the issue for us. Joe, the manager or owner, stated they could not pick up and replace the order. They also could not refund me for my order, instead they offered a 50% discount in the chicken wings. So we are now stuck paying for half of an order of chicken wings that is sitting in our trash. I ordered a Medium pizza to be delivered to my home. It took 50 minutes to get here . The delivery guy was very nice BUT the pizza was ice cold and the cheese was old looking. Love this place and their pasta!! This is one of the places my co workers and I order dinner from constantly. Not only are they fast but they also get our orders correct every time (given that we usually place very large dinner orders). Portion sizes are very big for the pasta. Quietly tucked in alongside johns farm. Switched owners a number of times, but finally got it right. Pizza's are great. Sauce has dynamite flavor with a good quality mozzarella. Greatest zeppoles around! Huge pieces of dough fully covered in powdered sugar. Not dripping with oil. Was recommended by what I thought was a reliable source. The pasta was pasty and either over cooked or under cooked. The sauce on the chicken francaise was watery and the meatballs were simply inedible. The eggplant was very good. I did call to give the owner my review but wanted nothing in return.
