I've ordered pies from this place four times now and each time the pies have been excellent. I love a good thin crust and they do a great job. I usually get plain cheese pies, but I've also gotten a meatball pie and a white pie. All have been excellent but meatball is my favorite. read more

I had to get a catering order in quickly for a weekday event. The gentleman who took care of my order was so helpful. He offered choices that were good for the event size and type. The storefront is a little difficult to get to during dinner time because it shares the parking lot with a very popular restaurant that does a valet service for their patrons, which means cars and crammed and lined up where you need to go. Villa Maria has a few of their parking spots, so as long as you're able to get through the mess in the front, there should be space in the back. They threw in garlic bread for free & made sure that the food was packaged very well. I had brought my own boxes to anticipate difficult transfer, but there was no need. Food was pretty good, stayed hot until I needed to serve it. It looks a little run down inside, but I would say this is a pretty solid joint for take-out. What a lovely surprise to find a small storefront serving up authentic Italian food, especially Old World lasagna made with a combo of meat and sausage, ricotta & parm perfectly baked. But the highlight of my day was the freshest cold, crisp, thinly sliced salad ingredients including crisp croutons that was the BEST I ever had due to the fabulous homemade dressing I sopped up with half a garlic bread that I surprisingly got when I asked for bread and butter. The hospitality of Paul the pizza maker/owner was notable and every restaurant management should take a lesson from Paul's pride of quality and authentic taste.He offered a free bottle of water "on him" as well as a slice of cheese margarita ANDwhite pizza to take home to try the next day for lunch. What a great advertisement to foster customers to return (which I certainly will). There are few and far between establishments that truly know how to treat a customer in such a warm, welcoming way, including the waitstaff's pleasant, friendly attitude. Give your family a treat and eat at Villa Maria on Wantagh Avenue in North Wantagh, Bethpage. You'll come out smiling for sure with satisfaction. They are generally good but they haven't gotten our order right a few times however they always make it right so I like that. There pizza is mostly consistent but not really a fan of the garlic knots. I really like mine with a crusty top and there's are always super garlicky. After living in Bethpage a few years finally tried this place, and I have enjoyed everything I have gotten here. Meat lovers pizza is great, I love the chicken parm slice as well, but for me the standout is their Sicilian slice. Thick, no skimping on the cheese, crust is delicious. One of the best Sicilian slices I've ever had. Stopped by a few weeks ago to grab a few slices while out walking, and even my wife was impressed and she's picky when it comes to pizza. Pretty average Long Island pizzeria. Ordered a pizza and two hero's last night. The pizza was half cheese and half sausage and peppers. The hero's were chicken parm and meatball parm. Everything tasted pretty average. The flavor of the sauce did not stand out. The hero's were generous portions which was nice. My favorite part of what I ordered was the pizza dough and crust. It was very light and airy. I was able to eat more since it was not heavy and doughy. My boyfriend loves their sesame seed pizza crust which is why he often orders from here! read more

Tried a regular pie and 6 garlic knots seeing as they won news 12 food fight. Called and they said it was a regular pie special night. Price was low, but questionably low. How can they not use cheap ingredients? Garlic knots were very good. The cheese pie was definitely unique. Ate 2 slices. Taste started to get to me and couldn't finish the 3rd. Would like to see a step up in ingredients and presentation. Maybe some small changes here and there can really make a difference. I feel like I get different meals every time I order them from here. The penne vodka is different each time. The sauce will be really thick and delicious one time, then watery and disgusting the next. I don't know if there's a quality check going on in the kitchen base don who's working back there, but it is clearly not consistent among cooks. I'd like to know, especially when I'm entertaining guests and I go out of my way to choose THIS place to order from, that what Im getting is what I got last time. I sit there and say oh yes this place is great... and then the food comes and its like wtf is this? Its also slow, and overpriced -- which is everywhere. $35 for some pasta and an entree is ridiculous especially when I know full well that pasta costs them CENTS to dish out. The to go tins are the aluminum things that fall apart and leak everywhere, so they wrap them in plastic which is just a runny watery saucy mess to unwrap. For $35, Id like the plastic to go bins. This last time ordering was probably my final time. I also was in there and could hear who I am guessing is the owner? Tall guy? He just wouldn't shut the f* up about nonsense, and youd think someone with such a big mouth would be putting out a better product. I gave this place 3 stars bc of inconsistency in quality, annoying owner, and disproportionately expensive pricing. There's also a little annoying sign complaining that people are asking for "extra" sides like extra sauce, or a side of sauce... and that they need to be changed for it. Wah. I have never even been to Villa Maria, but seeing how many people get "sick" and "nauseous" from the food, I can't wait to try it now! These sleazy fake reviews only spotlight the fact that the place must be so good, it's competitors have to stoop to the lowest possible level to try to convince people otherwise. "Sick" and "nauseous?" Can't you numbskulls just make up something we might sort of believe, like "the sauce is a little runny," or "the crust is a little too thin?" The funny thing is that, had I seen this so-called "vegan food truck" on the street, I probably would have tried it, as I spent 20 years as a vegan and still like to eat dairy-free when I can. However, assuming "Cindy M" IS the owner of the vegan food truck, I will NEVER, EVER give her a nickel of my business now. My fiancé saw them on News 12 and decided to order from them for our WrestleMania party. The baked ziti pie with garlic knot crust was the best pizza I've ever had. Sometimes the pasta on those specialty pies gets over cooked and the noodles are crunchy- this was NOT the case. Garlic knots and wings were fantastic too. They tasted good even after being reheated throughout the week. Food also still tasted amazing days later. We ate that pizza for days! read more

We have been frequenting this place since we moved to Levittown 2 years ago. My parents frequent this place at least 2x a month. My boys are hooked on the meatball and pepperoni pizza. I love the meatball pizza. My dad says he talks to the owner everyone he sees him. The pizza has been awesome and my favorite is when he brought home some penne a la vodka one Sunday. I have been to Villa Maria's before, but only for the pizza. Nothing above the norm or to rave about, but OK pizza worth stopping in for if you're in the area. I decided to finally eat here for dinner one night on a friend's recommendation as this is her family's FAVORITE Italian restaurant. Her husband is Italian and raves about Villa Maria so I was really looking forward to an amazing dinner. Well, my dinner was not amazing, but it was OK, just like the pizza. I ordered the Chicken Francaise with a side of spaghetti and my husband ordered the Eggplant Rollatini. Some nice, hot Italian bread is brought to you as you sit down. The portions aren't big by any means, so don't expect to be bringing home a doggie bag. My chicken was made to perfection but the sauce I found to be a little bland. I asked for some lemon and a couple of squeezes later, it was just right. The tomato sauce I found to be a little on the acidic side but still tasty. My husband, on the other hand, did not enjoy his dinner at all. He said his eggplant was not fresh and it was soggy. The sauce he found to be bitter and the ricotta cheese was watery. He called it a "ball of mush". Eggplant is the one vegetable I stay as far away from as possible, so I couldn't even try it to give my opinion otherwise, but it did look mushy. The owner was our waiter/busboy. Very nice and friendly, but once he took our order we did not see him again, unless we asked for some more water. We did go to Villa Maria on a Saturday night and the place was empty, except for some take out orders and a couple of people eating pizza. They have been open 7 years and the people who came in while we were there seemed to know the owner well. I don't think I'll be back to Villa Maria for dinner, but for pizza - yes, if I am in the area. Note: Villa Maria is located right next to Popei's Seafood Restaurant (my favorite) who offers Valet Parking and the lot is small. Best thing is to park across the street where you will have no problem finding a spot. read more

Matter of fact, my Knights of Columbus council orders from here constantly for repast for our members after a meeting. At one point years ago I had been a fan of Villa Maria and then it started going downhill messing up orders, using crappy cheese, etc and they lost me for over a year. This year we decided to give it another shot and I have to say, once again I am a fan. They have some of the best garlic knots I've ever had and the pizza is a solid 9. Last night we dined in at Villa Maria. I ordered Chicken Parm and the wife had bowtie pasta with broccoli with sundried tomatoes. The dishes were fantastic. The chicken parm was cooked perfect and the wifes meal was absolutely delicious! For the price, you would be hard pressed to do better. If you haven't tried them in the past year, give them another chance because they have definitely improved! read more
