This place is a go to for my coworker and I when we don't bring food in at work. They serve great breakfast sandwiches and have a great variety for a fast lunch. I like going for their panini sandwiches usually. My favorite is the chipotle press. They also have delicious small pizzas. A unique one is their chicken bacon ranch pizza that my coworker is a huge fan of. If you are feeling to go more towards the healthy route they have tossed and chopped salads where you customize what you want. They come in small and large sizes. The small salads are big enough for two meals. The only down side is parking. There are only a few spots in the front so parking is very tight. read more

Great Italian deli here in Syosset. My go-to!!! They have a wide range selection on their menu of amazing breakfast, sandwiches, wraps, paninis, and they have pizza!!! Chopped salads are popping there and so are the foods displayed in the glass case. read more

my company has ordered ALOT from this place. and practically every time our poor receptionist has to deal with the NASTY attitude from the women there. Ive listened in because she knows its going to be rude. and shes right. they have this real nasty tone of voice like theyre doing you a favor. why my company still uses them I don't know. even if you drive there and are actually able to find a parking spot , more times than not you cant, the people in person are 50/50 chance they wont have an attitude. foods not that great either, nothing special. read more

If I could give this no stars, I would. My co worker and I ordered the 10" bruschetta pizzette, half of it with chicken and half of it without. My co worker was very clear when ordering, as I was right next to her when she ordered. We didn't realize it was wrong until she got back with the pizzette. It was half bruschetta and half plain pizza. When I called to let the restaurant know their mistake, the lady who took the order answered the phone, and said it was our fault bc the caller wasn't clear. Then she said,"whatever you say and hung up on me in mid sentence." When I called back to ask for a manager, she informed me that the manager left for the day, and then hung up the phone again. read more

I have eaten here maybe a 1/2 dozen times and the food is good. The chicken Mona Lisa is my favorite and for the price it is a good value when it is on the daily special. The paninis are good too, just a little pricey and the prepared items in the deli counter are also very pricey. I have order their pizzas before and they lack flavor and were raw in the middle. I agree with the some of the other reviewers that the women behind the cash register is not as welcoming and friendly as the rest of the staff. If you eat here, make sure to get the garlic knots, probably the best thing I've ever eaten. read more

This is actually a good place! ... and the food is also delicious!! The place looks clean, and the staff seems very friendly!! Been there twice already. The only issue I have with this place, is: THE CLERKS USE THE SAME GLOVES TO HANDLE THE FOOD - AS THEY USE TO HANDLE THE MONEY!! AND THATS NASTY!! The first day I went there, they did this. I ignored it and came back the next day, only to see the same thing from a different clerk. So it looks as if they are doing this everyday, with no thought whatsoever! THIS IS A NASTY PRACTICE! MONEY IS DIRTY. PEOPLE PUT CASH IN THEIR PANTS, SHOES ... ITS A NASTY PRACTICE. If they fix this issue, this place would be a top spot. At least for myself. I feel so bad to give 1 star, because this place is actually a good place. But touching money with the same gloves as you handle food is NASTY! Had to trash the sandwich this time around. read more

My latest visit to this place really bothered me. I almost didn't post this but felt that I needed to warn others of the poor service given by the woman working the register. Little bit of back story... my office (located in Jericho) has ordered from this place at least once a month over the past two years. The food quality is great and delicious and we normally order for delivery. I have visited Il Fornello for pick up twice in the past and have never experienced what I did on Tuesday, 4/24/18. My office placed an order and I volunteered to pick up. I walked in admired the array of potato chips, chose a bag and proceeded to the register. That's where things went south. The woman behind the register didn't acknowledge me and continued her conversation with her coworkers. When her coworkers notified her that I was standing there (which was a good 20 seconds) she asked how can she help. I told her I was there for pick up and at that moment I decided not to purchase chips so I put them back on the rack. She proceeded to ring me up and saw I didn't want the chips and it annoyed her. (Note, while all this was happening no eye contact has been made and her body language was very dismissive.) She waited for my money, I gave it to her, and offered to give her the change. While digging in my wallet for the coins she already placed my cash back on the counter without letting me know, while her coworker bagged up my order. The cashier still says nothing, is turned to her side waiting to engage in conversation with her coworkers again. I give her the coins I dug for and again she says nothing. Her coworker that bagged my order peaks out from behind the glass and wishes me a nice day. PROS: Good quality food CONS: The parking is almost non existent, when ordering for delivery it must be placed at least an hour and a half prior or risk hunger pangs, and lastly a rude and miserable cashier. read more

There's a reason this place is always busy. Food is delicious and fresh, service is great, place is clean. Literally have been eating here for years for breakfast and lunch with my office, i am here nearly everyday and sometimes twice a day. I have never had anything off the menu I didn't think was delicious. Any place that can afford to be closed during the weekends is obviously doing something right. I find it bizarre that there are any negative reviews on here. We order from them nearly everyday and they have not once made a mistake on our orders. read more

THE WORST service in the world. I will NEVER ever recommend this place nor could I ever go back if it was the only place in this world open and I was starving. I truly believe in customer service as #1. Food is important, but if you're not a people person, DO NOT work in a customer service environment. The woman behind the counter is one of the rudest women I've ever come across in my life. If I ever hated anyone, it would be her. One example: I wanted avocado added to my wrap. I told the man making it, he added it. When the woman at the counter was ringing me up, she yelled at me for not repeating the order because she never charged me for avocado. Is that my fault? Proceeded to tell me, once all wrapped up and ready to go, that I owe another $1.25 or whatever it was for the avocado. I'm sorry, but I thought it was THEIR job to know what the customer ordered. Why should I remind them AFTER they've rung me up completely? I'm not trying to get a free meal or anything, and I am the first to be honest and truthful, but I had no idea she didn't add the avocado to the overall price. Dinner reservations for 5 people at 6;30 on a Saturday- we were seated promptly and nicely, the server started off very nice and we were all enjoying the start of our family birthday diner, drinks ordered, many appetizers' , more drinks, dinner- waiter has vanished being pulled in every directions never asking us if we want anything else until we flagged him down for the desert (birthday)- timing 8pm- the owner comes to our table asking if we can wrap it up- and finish our drinks at the bar as they have another table reservation waiting to be seated. I was so embraced we weren't even finished with our desert nor was I even finished with my wine (the bottle we purchased). As I head to the ladies room, a guest grabs my arm asking me how much longer because they had dinner reservation at 7pm and they have been waiting at the bar for over a half hour and are mad. Needless to say the restaurant's owner had their own table eating but no one ever asked them to get up and leave. I walked up to the owner to express how disappointed I was and all he was able to say to me was the he sorry as they are busy. read more
