I ordered a low-carb bagel with two eggs, avocado, turkey, and a little bit of cream cheese, and it was perfection. The bagel has that great crusty exterior and fluffy interior; even though it's low-carb, it still tastes amazing. I also got a small iced coffee with a bit of French vanilla creamer. This is a great bagel store! Mr. Lee, the owner, has been delivering a variety of bagels and cream cheese/butter to my office every Monday morning for almost 2 years. He's accomodating, always prompt at 8am, so friendly and his bagels are always very fresh and so good! My favorite, cinnamon raisin, are baked with lots of raisins and are delicious! There have been several times we had morning meetings with clients where Village Bagels has filled catering orders in addition to our weekly bagel order! The presentation of their platters are impressive, coffee jugs delivered just brewed and the fruit is always fresh and sweet! I have not visited the store, yet, but I plan to. Wow amazing bagels! I am not from this area. Before choosing where to get a bagel I checked menus and reviews and chose Village Bagel over all of the others in the nearby vicinity. My choice was perfect. I ordered the plain bagel with fresh lox and cream cheese and an everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese. I regretfully did not take a pic of the latter. Both were awesome. The sandwiches were cut in half and carefully wrapped and held together well when eaten. The 2 eggs on the BEC bagel were fried on the flat top which gives them nice crispy edges as opposed to an omelette style folded egg that doesn't have much character. The bacon was crispy and chopped up to fit inside the bagel as opposed to hanging over the edge. FYI two bagel sandwiches is a bit much for one person but I really had to try both as I won't be in this area very long. The service was quick and efficient as they had a small line that seemed to replenish itself constantly. They had a good selection of bagels to try. My only regret is not venturing out to try one of the other interesting bagels. read more

They make them so fresh that they usually come hot - and if I had leftovers I could freeze them and then take them out and it would thaw like new soft fresh bagels. However after COVID the bagels haven't been as soft or hot upon arrival and the bacon egg and cheese on roll I would always get was just eh. I came here during my trip down to long island to bring home bagels and some cream cheese because it never compares when coming from New York. If it were up to just the bagels it would be a 5 star review, I don't live in New York so I don't know if they are the best from down there but the bagels were delicious, fluffy and had such a nice variety of both bagels and cream cheese. However the service really sucked. Getting through the line, wasn't bad, it was small in there and the line went to the door so I expected to wait but when I got up to the front I was appalled by how rude the lady taking my order was, she literally started with what do you want and it went from there. Hands down the best bagels ever EVERRR! BUT, I give it a one star because the lady with the cleft hand charges me all different rates for the same damn coffee and bagel each morning. One day it's $3.97, another day it's $4.17, once it was even $4.52! And this was all before the price increase. She pushes the buttons on the register but never presses the button to print so I suspect she is keeping a running total in her head and pocketing the money for herself. To be honest, I was expecting very little considering that Bagel Boss and the OG, Bagel Master, are very close by and that VB is the only one doing 'hand rolled' bagels. I am happy to say that these bagels are legit! A solid crunchy outside and a soft chewy inside gives these bagels a nice. While I still stand by BB being the best store around, these bagels are nipping at their heels. Beyond the bagels you can order eggs, BEC's, flavored cream cheeses, cookies, muffins and many salads. Run by an older Korean couple, they hand make, water boil their bagels making the bagel absolutely fluffy and soft in the inside but crunchy crispy on the outside. It is THE new york bagel. There is also a lot of other food options too like sandwiches and salads that you can order if you don't want a bagel! I know customers that go here all the way from Astoria because their bagels are so good.
