Ive come here a few times for breakfast and I haven't been disappointed not once. As soon as you walk in there's usually 3-4 associates simultaneously taking orders. Wait times have been pretty quick and my food is always up to par. The crew here are always in a good mood and are always willing to accommodate requests. I wanted to venture out of the bagel boss constellation and look for other bagel places to try out the many other possibilities. I didn't even pay attention to this place in the plaza being that I know of mulberry street and cold stone ... but we took a crack at it and wanted to see what cure does the bagel doctor have for the carbo blues...perhaps more Bagels? At first glance, it's a pretty basic bagel looking spot...commercial refrigerators with beverages ? CHECK. Cage trays of bagels ? CHECK. Coffee machine ? CHECK. FLAGELS ? CHECK. Mini bagels ? BIG CHECK. Why? Portion controlled carbs so you don't overload on a regular fatty bagel. The line was running at a turtle's pace but as I looked further , of course everyone wants bagels their way so it makes sense to wait because I definitely have a certain way I want my bagel which I hope they get right. My first visit , I did the taste test w a mini and a few other select bagels and flagels to go. Had the mini bagel and whaddaya know? It tastes like a bagel ... because it iiiiiis a bagel. I came back and did 2 dozen for my coworkers (because too much of pizza isn't a good thing (you fell for that. It's always a good thing , preferably the top shelf top ingredients baked in an Italian pizza oven from Napals) , so let's load them on a breakfast carb!) Overall this is another bagel option if you want a change of scenery. The business staff all seem hardworking and their aim is to put a smile on your face with your "however you like your bagel your way". Dirty over priced bagel store where you don't get what you ask for. I ordered a toasted onion bagel, lightly buttered. The bagel came out of the toaster and the employee asked me if I wanted cream cheese. I replied "no, lightly buttered". I was craving a bagel on a recent trip back home to NY and my parents & I stopped at Bagel Doctor. I used to come here years ago because the bagels were always fresh and the prices are really good. Those things haven't changed a bit! But my most recent experience here was out of this world - the counter worker's level of customer service was absolutely phenomenal! My dad forgot what day it was and tried to order a daily special and when he realized what day it actually was the employee said he'd give him the daily special anyway. WOW, how awesome! I ordered my bagel with cream cheese and it was fantastic - fresh, loaded with cream cheese (the bacon scallion is to die for) and great price. I also wanted to grab 6 bagels to go so I could take them back to my Florida friends and when I told him this, he gave them to me for FREE!!!! Made my day and I won't ever forget that. Word of advice: get here earlier rather than later on the weekends because they do great business and may sell out of what you want. I can't wait to return next time I visit. read more

I came here a couple of times recently. The first time was to try out their bagels, I like both regular bagels and mini bagels. They have decent bagel selection, nothing crazy like blueberry, cinnamon, or jalepeño cheese bagels. It seems they they replenish their bagels since the first time I was there around lunch time. The service was quick and attentive. The bagles I got were everything, plain, and poppy seed. I definitely like the price if the mini bagels being half of a regular bagels at .50! My second time I placed a phone order for pick up about 8 minutes before I arrived and was pleased to know it was ready when I arrived. In addition to bagels I got a bacon egg and cheese on a poppy seed bagel. The sandwich was delish. The bacon was very crispy and not fatty. I will be back for more breakfast sandwiches and bagels in the future. The customer service was also engaging again. read more

It is of a little bagel store in Jericho, N.Y. called Bagel Dr. We stopped there because it was close to the other shopping area we were visiting today. (see pix) The food was adequately good. It appeared clean, there were plentiful bagels; some brought out fresh as we were waiting to order. I found it quite busy for a little shop on a holiday weekend Saturday. The workers seemed nice enough and there were some specials on menu signs listed. They might have gotten another star or even a 1/2 star if they had gotten the order correctly and hadn't mixed up the coffees and given me the wrong bagel. While I wouldn't rush to go back, if I was in the area and in the mood for a snack, I'd stop by again. read more

Excellent bagels! Bagels just melts in your mouth so you can tell they are fresh! Plus Bagel Doctor always gives you a hearty portion of lox and cream cheese. Since the coronavirus outbreak began my family was looking everywhere for a bagel store that was open, we live in Suffolk so had to drive a bit to get here but it was so worth it. We've been here several times before while passing by.. but the fact that they were open during all this mess really meant a lot. You can't keep a good bagel away from Long Islanders so thanks for being open! read more

I wouldn't say this is the "Bagel Doctor" as the title says it. The workers are nice, at least a few of them. Some of them will look at you like you've done something wrong. But that's besides the point. Their coffee doesn't taste great for starters, it is very weak. Despite having cream and sugar in the coffee I tasted pure water. It wasn't a thriller for me. The iced coffees are the same, very bland and tasteless. Considering it was early in the morning I would expect better of the coffee. The bagels now, they're not horrible. However, they're not the best either for an esteemed place called the "bagel doctor". I found the cream cheese way too runny, by the time I opened my bagel wrapper after a minute all of it was falling out. So I left it for a bit to solidify maybe, never happened.... I didn't enjoy the bagel or the coffee, and I find some of the attitudes for the workers a bit on appalling side. Rather than speaking about the masks everyone is wearing for five minutes straight, how about some better service and quality? Maybe it was an off day, but it wasn't a great experience. read more

I miss this place when I'm in Queens :'( This place is good! This place is better than good! They have one of the best BLTs. And I always order one side of bacon because I can never have enough bacon :'( once in a while I do get a little bit upset when they put burnt bacon in my sandwich but that rarely happens, and that is why I have a back up, side of bacon which has like 6 7 or 8 pieces of bacon. One deli by me in Queens give me 3 pieces :'( They make really good omelettes. they have awesome vegetable omelette called farm fresh omelette, comes with bread, really good. They have one of the best baked salmon salad and I love it love it so much! Lol but it's so good! I've had few other food items in past few years and I don't remember what they were but never disappointed. I was going to take pictures of my food this morning but I actually wanted to keep it to myself but I guess next time I will take pictures and show you what I'm talking about Lol If you live around the area, try something or have a BLT I promise you won't be disappointed. Or just go order a side of bacon for $1.99 it'll make a good snack :D I really like delicatessens, and this place is walking from me, but they have disappointed me more times with bacon egg and cheese. Definitely would rather be hungry than return here. The service was incredibly slow, it took them 10 minutes to get through the 3 people in front of me despite 3 people working. Other bagel stores I've been to get through longer lines in less time. I only stopped here because I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and I definitely regret it. My bagels were smothered with butter, so much so that it was literally oozing out of the size of the bagel. The coffee tasted incredibly burnt. To top this off their prices are higher than other bagel shops. They also aren't very hygienic. The workers were only wearing a glove on one hand which they didn't change after handling money and they did not wipe down their cutting board or knives. read more

this is a great, established bagel store. Not spiffy, not trendy. Good, nice sized bagels that taste like they have some flavor instead of being round gluten balls. Love the sunflower flagel...in and out fast on my way to work.Don't run into anyone that I know, Fair pricing.
