    Some delicious treat
    Taylor T.

Love this place. The drinks are delicious and even more so all the pastry treats and sandwiches. A great place to come work if you can get a seat.

There's indoor and outdoor seating. I've only been once but it seems like a good place to work and/or study if you're okay with people talking. It was relatively quiet though. There is so much sweets available and a good selection of coffee. I'm not a coffee expert though. The staff were friendly. I ordered a sandwich but I can't remember the name. It had chicken in it. It was good but the bread was super hard. I also had the Christmas tree sweet treat. It was good!

    Sriracha Caesar wrap

Very cute bakery. So many options of desserts and the food looks amazing. I love how diverse the staff was. There's two locations you can sit to have access to an outlet. I love the option of getting your food heated up or not. My friend told me the sriracha Caesar wrap was amazing. I would say since it is a very busy bakery and only one garbage can accessible, they should empty it frequently. It's so small and with it being small and in front by the entrance it's not a good look. I love that you can purchase boxes of the mini cookies and breads. The glass window to watch them making the sweets is dope as well. I will for sure be coming back. The iced coffee is good as well.

Pistachio raspberry croissant, Dubai chocolate date, and London Fog.

This place is fantastic. Everything was perfect. I had a pistachio raspberry croissant and the Dubai chocolate date and a London Fog to drink. The croissant was flaky and chewy with the perfect amount of pistachio cream and raspberry preserves. The flavors just lend so well to each other. The date was stuffed pistachio cream and kataifi and topped with dark chocolate. It was a great sweet bite. I would definitely get both again. The London Fog was classic and just right. The staff is fast. It was packed and the line went quickly. This is a great place to stop for coffee, tea, pastries, specialty cakes, and sandwiches.

Was in the neighborhood and have only been to the bayside location previously. This one is also open and spacious with similar options and accommodations. Ordered an iced latte and was happy with the result.

    My little tasting plate.

This place has been on my radar for quite a while, I was in the area so i stopped in. I hate to be that person but I'm going to have to be honest. I had to wait quite a while for someone to ask me if I needed anything. I had already walked up and down the counter and display cases a few times but no one came. My partner in crime had to summon one of the girls who were standing around the registrars talking. I was the only customer so they definitely saw me. I could absolutely and have forgiven lackluster service if the food was very good but it was heartbreakingly not good at all. Everything looked amazing but looks were deceiving. I got a lemon tart that looked like it had meringue but was some kind of gooey marshmallow fluff like substance, the lemon inside was slightly Pledge like but the crust was good. I also got a lemon square which is usually one of my "testers" at a bakery to see if it is good. No, it wasn't. It had no taste at all and whatever was on top seemed like toasted breadcrumbs. I think they forgot the sugar and the lemon. The inside was not creamy, it was definitely over baked. Then the little linzer cookie, it was sad and dry. Welcome to the French bakery of broken dreams...

    Nutella cookie and fresh berries
    Solei P.

The display of bakery items is exceptional and fresh. I was greeted with a friendly morning smile and laughter. I ordered the matcha latte, a brioche egg and cheese , a Nutella cookie and some fresh berries. The matcha latte was really good. The egg and cheese brioche not so good my egg was still cold even after I saw them heat it up. The berries were average but it tasted like they don't wash them before so slicing. However, the winner was this Nutella cookie that was filled with soft and chewy greatness. If you want variety, leave that regular coffee spot and you will not be disappointed!

FIRST OF ALL - LOVE THE FRENCH WORKSHOP!! Every time I come here it is busy - but there is space to sit? haha it is always full and filled with people enjoying their food and coffee. It is always clean, nicely lit, enough space from others, and the shelves are always fully stocked. Even on busy days I don't think I have ever been turned down of an item. I love, love, love their BLT and their iced coffee with sweet cold foam. one of my favorite go to spots!

The melody cake is to die for. Whenever I bring it to an event I get so many people asking, "omg where is this chocolate cake from? ". We used to drive into queens for the TFW and so glad now we can swing by Plainview! The melody cake has layers of soft chocolate, decadent glaze and crispy wafer things. A lot of variable textures that really teases the senses. Big fan. Oh their coffee isn't bad also!

Upscale bakery and sandwiches and coffee shop. Sit all day in their roomy space and relax. Pleasant help, and tasty but expensive pastries. Very clean, nice tables, and bathrooms available.

What are these black specs on the bottom of the creme brulee cheesecake?
    Ann M.

Do not go to this location. It was fantastic for the first two years. The store has no adult management and is run by teenagers. The trash is overflowing, the unique customer experience is gone and the quality of the food is poor. After eating the creme brulee cheesecake, I found a layer of black specks. I do not know what it is but I believe it is pepper since my tongue was tingling after. The cashiers no longer follow an assembly line, which gave the customer a personalized experience, where your order was run up automatically when you got to the cashier. The cashier asked me what I ordered. And after taking payment, moved onto the next customer with the same question. I waited a few minutes for someone to come along and put my sandwich in a bag. I then had to remind them I had desserts as well. When I got home, I grabbed the box to take it out of the bag and it opened up, causing the dessert to slide off the paper. I realized the person handling the dessert did not place a sticker on the bottom of the box, which would have kept the lid from opening. Very disappointed and will no longer go to this location.

Enjoyed the pastry, but the tarts.. meh... could skip. Went to visit friends in LI... and was craving good pastries. Found "The French Workshop"... spacious, clean and the dessert looks good. Service was a bit confusing... I think one side is for hot food and one for dessert? Not sure... but I just waited for someone to ask "are you being helped?". We got some napoleon... and a mixed tart box. Tarts were ok, didn't love it... think there's apple, pecan, apricot and something else... couldn't remember. But the napoleon was pretty good. Would get it again if I'm in the area. Maybe will try other selection.... Solid 3. #yelplife #longislandeats #sweettooth

I finally made it to The French Workshop. The shop is beautiful with plenty of options. At first glance you literally want to order everything! The staff were kind and very helpful. I went on a Thursday afternoon so even though there were customers dining, it wasn't overcrowded. I ordered a honey turkey sandwich (containing Swiss cheese, honey mustard, lettuce, tomato on a cheese focaccia bread), spinach soufflé, and pistachio cream. The sandwich was sooo good!!!! The spinach soufflé was delicious. The puff pastry was buttery and flaky, and the soufflé was savory and seasoned just right. The pistachio cream was the one disappointing purchase I made. The pistachio cream itself was good, but the pastry was not. I was expecting flaky, light, and buttery like the croissant pastry but it was dense and salty. Definitely wouldn't order again, but two out of three isn't bad. Looking forward to my next visit when I can try some more of their delicious treats. I have another critique. Being that this is called the "French Workshop " I expected them to know the correct name for French pastries. However, they labeled pain au chocolat as a chocolate croissant when there is clearly a difference. I hope they fix this error. If you're in the area, definitely worth a visit.
