It's Kafe time! Mokafe that is. This Melville spot is bringing the coffee vibes to ya (along with plenty of food options as well). My wife and I recently checked Mokafe out twice a couple weeks apart with each experience being pretty solid. Round 1 consisted of just coffee drinks which you'd expect to get from a place like this as the name has Middle Eastern connections to the coffee of that region. What you might not expect is the list of speciality lattes they have as they really load in some unique options (Kinder Bueno latte?!). My tiramisu latte was exceptional while my wife's Nutella latte also hit the spot. Round 2 we leveled things up by still getting coffee, but we also dove into some food options as I ordered the Turkish bagel with olives and my wife got the strawberry Nutella flat croissant. Starting with the sweet, that croissant was fantastic and definitely something unique. My bagel was also pretty legit though not a LI-type bagel as this was flakier with that olive spread inside many bites. Different to what I'm used to, but still quite enjoyable. What wasn't as spot on was my pistachio latte. Not a bad drink as Mokafe seems to handle their espresso well, but I couldn't really grasp any pistachio flavor. I'll try a different latte next time (plenty to choose from!). Before wrapping things up, let's tackle a few other important pieces. Setting is superb in the comfy (albeit green) booths and large amount of seating. It's definitely a cozy spot to sit and enjoy your cafe goods, though the music is sometimes a bit loud and kind of takes away from a place you'd feel like you could maybe get some work done. Pricing is pretty fair with a 24oz iced latte coming in at $7.50 which isn't too shabby with some places definitely over that dollar point. And staff were nice enough for our quick interactions, and they'll also bring out and/or buzzer when your drinks/food are ready which all occurred pretty quickly/smoothly. Overall, Mokafe is a delight. The setting is cool, the menu is sizable, the food/drink choices are pretty tasty, and the whole spot is rather unique to a coffee scene that honestly could be getting a little oversaturated so it's nice to see something different. I know a second Hicksville location just opened, so now let's work on getting one of these a little more east of Melville! read more

I've driven by this place many times and finally decided to stop by on one of my days off and was not disappointed! They have a huge free parking lot and the inside decor is very clean, modern, bright and beautiful. This would be a great place to grab a bite and/or drink while catching up with a friend or even to study. After browsing their many choices, I settled on a pistachio frapp and the turkey and cheddar sandwich (with avocado added for additional cost). Everything on their menu looked good and if you're a pistachio fan like me, they have a decent amount of pistachio items on the menu. Prices seemed on par with what a cafe would charge though I felt the croissants were a bit on the pricier side. The frapp was good though I wished it was sweeter and had a little more pistachio flavor to it. The sandwich, especially with the added avocado was a little on the smaller side but absolutely delicious, fresh and filling. The staff member that helped me with my order was very nice and helpful, even updating me why my drink was taking too long (they had made the wrong size initially). After you place your order (they have a free rewards program also), you're given one of those devices that vibrate when your order is ready. I noticed they have a drive thru (definitely will try this one day!) which is great for those times you don't want to get out of the car, are in a hurry or have a little one in the car that's napping or something. We visited MOKAFÉ/Club Cafe today to check out their special event! They were hosting a celebration from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and were offering free tickets, so I made sure to snag three for myself and my kids. As soon as we arrived, the music was pumping and the vibe was fantastic. We enjoyed some delicious free pastries and cold brew, took some fun pictures in the photo booth, and even got to dance a little bit! The staff was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was great. I'm so glad the Yemeni coffee house scene is growing. I love to study and work at coffee shops and it is difficult to find some open beyond 4-6p so this is perfect and closer to my current residence than one further west (Nassau county or NYC). Items are pricey, but I think it is worth it if you use the space and spend time there. Plenty of outlets, free wifi, and good drinks/bites. I tried the Mufawar which is tea and coffee together. Interesting flavor but I will likely stick to something with tea next time to reduce my caffeine intake. read more

I came back to finally try the Iced vanilla blueberry matcha and I was not disappointed. It was really good, just the right amount of everything. I will be back for that drink. My only disappointment was the pesto, tomato and mozzarella sandwich. There was barely and tomato's on it and the one that were was tiny. I think I'll stick to the drinks here. read more

Driven by this place many times and finally stopped in. Lots of drink and pastry options. I had the iced Spanish latte (sweetened with condensed milk) strong coffee flavor but good. My husband tried the Turkish black coffee, which smelled amazing but was also very strong. "Strong" definitely describes the coffee here. Tried the everything cream cheese croissant which was a dry, but the baklava was delicious. Service was great and helped me with my selections as I just couldn't decide. This place has a beautiful and thoughtfully designed layout. The decor immediately sets the vibe warm, modern and perfect for spending time with friends. It can be loud so not sure if it's a good spot for studying. The best part is the food and drinks which were genuinely impressive. Everything we tried was good. The Mamdani chai deserves its own mention because it's honestly the best chai I've ever had. I personally don't like cardamom flavor but this was just so good perfectly balanced and nothing like the usual overly sweet versions you find elsewhere. The Guava Refresher and the Iced french toast latte were good as well. For pastries the Hazelnut croissant and the Strawberry Nutella croissant were both incredible. The Honeycomb was great and the mozzarella , tomato, pesto sandwich had a homemade taste that I loved. Another big plus is the plenty of free parking, which makes the whole experience even easier. Everything we ordered was genuinely good, and you can tell they care about quality. This is the kind of place you end up coming back to without even thinking about it. Came here for an event hosted by Club Cafe, they host events at coffee shops with a DJ, think a morning club instead of a night club with coffee instead of alcohol. The store is a very nice size with lots of seating. They have coffee, tea, pastries, I believe I even saw some sandwiches on the menu. I love the spread of Yemeni coffee houses in Long Island and NYC. It's so refreshing to see the aura and vibe of the coffee culture of the Middle East grow in the United States. This new location of Mokafe is where the old KFC was located (which was a Cheezly location for a very brief time after that). Needless to say, the decor inside has drastically changed since KFC. The restaurant did an amazing job with the decor; the new interior is very modern, but also has that traditional feel to it. We ordered a pot of the Shai Adeni chai. I thought it was very good, although a bit bitter, so I had to add a lot of sugar to it. Their pastries and desserts also looked pretty appetizing, but I felt the Pistachio Knafa Dreamcake was a bit overpriced at $15. read more

I visited Mokafe the same week they opened and was pleasantly surprised at all the buzz it received from the community. When I showed up it was busier than I thought it would be (early afternoon on a weekday) and I was there working remotely for about 6 hours. They have WiFi and outlets (not at every table, only some) so it is good for studying or working. When I walked in there was a line of people waiting to order and I wasn't sure if people could choose their seat or had to order to sit. When I asked the staff they recommended I get in line and order and then I'm given a number to which I can sit and they'll bring my order over. Their menu is extensive and definitely made it hard to decide what I want. It's definitely pricy here so this would be a place I'd consider visiting if I'm willing to splurge as if you're super hungry and order multiple things you can really rack up money on your order. With that being said, I really liked their tiramisu and lavender lemonade and would be willing to repurchase. The feta tomato arugula croissant was good but not my favorite as it was too much feta (for me). If you really like feta then this is a perfect option. Considering I came the first week and things can go awry when you first open a new business location, I had a nice experience and no issues with my service. The team here was helpful and if I had a question about the menu that they didn't know an answer to, they would ask someone who would know - which I appreciated. Beautiful cafe in farmingdale close to the college entrance. I'd never seen it before, the storefront is a little far back from the road so it's easy to miss but the inside is absolutely gorgeous, it looks right out of a magazine, very photogenic. The prices unfortunately do reflect the upscaleness and drinks start around 5 dollars for the cheapest one. they do have a huge variety of pastries and food, and the chocolate croissant and banana bread we got were both very good. We bought a hot matcha latte and mint tea, but the latte had completely cooled off by the time we got it so that was the only issue. Otherwise it's a very nice place to go with a group. read more

I recently visited MoKaffè and had a really lovely experience. The pistachio kunafa brownie was absolutely delicious, a real Dubai-style treat with a perfect balance of pistachio and chocolate. The portion was generous, and the flavor was spot on. I also tried their tres leches cake, which was wonderfully soft and soaked with just the right amount of that creamy milk goodness. On top of that, I had a Nutella latte that was the perfect balance of coffee and hazelnut flavor. The café's decor is really cozy, with green plush booths and a wide selection of bakery items and sandwiches. I visited during the soft opening phase and loved everything about it! It's a beautiful location with a huge parking lot. There's a big menu with tons of different drinks and a large pastry section that looked amazing. I ordered the honey cinnamon latte, which I highly recommend. The cups were also different and of great quality. The inside of the cafe has tons of seating, large booths and a great atmosphere if you want somewhere to get work done. The employees were friendly and said that the drive through will hopefully be open for their grand opening (sometime next month). The products are over priced. I got the chocolate knafa crossiant to go. It was melted 6 mins later. There are other places to get these desserts (where taste might be better or at the very least the same). This isn't isnt the worse place and the products are interesting, but the prices and the quality do not meet the expectations of the consumer (i.e me). They should down size thier menu and lower thier prices, and focus on quality as well as consumer accessibility. People aren't going to this Cafe for lattes, they are going to the pastries, which are priced way to high and who's quality is not meeting expectations.
