I have been coming to this bagel store forever and it pains me to do this. In the last year it seems like I have had too many mistakes made on what I ordered. Mistakes that could have been life threatening to others. On several occasions I have ordered cinnamon bagel with cream cheese and once home found cinnamon/raisin/walnut cream cheese on my bagel. I HATE walnuts and thank God I am not allergic to them. But today was the final straw when I ordered a bagel with the olive cream cheese only to find what ended up being Jalapeno cream cheese! WTF?! Seriously? Today was a new staff person, short with dark hair. Normally I would not do this but it has been happening all too frequently especially with the newer employees. I'm not sure if they don't understand the English language well or they just can't tell what cream cheese is what but this is crazy. Been coming here my entire life. A majority of the staff are friendly & courteous. Two particular women always have sour nasty faces but the bagels are great so I over looked it. Today 10/23 one of the nasty employees (heavy set, early 30s, blue unflattering speckled leggings) made my egg sandwich. Please see photos attached. There is absolutely no excuse. Immediately I called to explain the situation & was told the grill was off and I could not receive a replacement. I was too disgusted to want one anyway. Update 10/24: called to have issue addressed by owner. "Manager" states he is on vacation, coming back & leaving again. I explained the issue & that it was unacceptable. She did not seem to think it was a big deal at all. (Maybe they regularly act this negligent???) She advised she would take my number & he would follow up. LOL Not the best business practices. Huge, Beautiful selection of bagels, muffins, salads. sandwiches. I knew I wanted a bagel with cream cheese when I walked in but suddenly became indecisive when I saw the incredible selection! So many choices! There are plenty of tables & booths if you choose to dine in. I had to grab & go. A lovely lady asked what I wanted as soon as I got to the counter. She quickly made my egg bagel w/ scallion cream cheese and I paid $4.32. A bargain if you ask me. The bagel was so soft and fresh. The cream cheese full of flavor and abundant! Been coming here for years. Early morning crew is on point. After that it's 50/50. Over the years quality and service has gone down as prices have increased. Vegan/Dairy Free Friendly! I didn't see any tofutti cream cheese on their menu so I was disappointed. However, I still asked if they had and luckily they did! I was so excited that a local bagel place was catering to differing dietary needs. My sister and I got tuna as well and wow it was good. It wasn't too fishy and had the perfect amount of flavor! I came here for over 15 years. Every time i come in here i order the same sandwich and get a different price. Basically whoever you get makes a price up and the price can swing from $ 2-3 dollar difference plus they charge a credit card fee. I know eggs are expensive but $20 for 2 egg and cheese on a croissant? Oh yea they don't tell you that you get a free small coffee already built in the price. They are banking on people not knowing about it and saving money that way. Have had their egg and cheese on a roll a few times and is always consistently fresh. Coffee is good too. The downfall is lack of parking availability on weekends. Don't park in the bank next door unless you want a ticket. Honestly the best bagels on Long Island. They are what you think of when people talk about New York bagels. The staff is super friendly and they have a lot of food options here with a large assortment of drink options as well. The line can be a little long and you may have a longer wait than your typical bagel store; but there is a reason for that and it's because these bagels seriously are so good. Parking can be a little bit difficult sometimes as well, but usually never a huge problem. My go to place for a nice morning bagel and I'm not even from Seaford. Highly recommend! read more

We walked in and my guy from Strong Island looked in the cases only to ask me, "What is that?". ME- from Las Vegas in disbelief a New Yorker didn't know, "That's schmear!" There were thick piles of beautiful schmear, or as the Bagel undereducated folks would call "cream cheese", in the case to choose from. Some were covered in berries, some were covered in fresh herbs - either way, for a connoisseur of cream cheese it was Disneyland! I have been doing time in San Diego so the treat of a New York style bagel was definitely on my agenda for a surprise Long Island visit. Being from Vegas, for those of you who do not know, I have always had access to New York style Bagels since there is a large population of New Yorkers who have relocated to my hometown. Not to mention New Yorkers helped start the Vegas strip, they also started a lot of restaurants there too. I was never absent of good food. Nonetheless, in San Diego the story is much different. I have literally been starving and everything taste like quinoa topped with twigs and berries. Trying to find a decent Bagel or Italian food = forget about it! My guy took me to Seaford Bagels after a park walk to get food for the moving crew. When I walked in I was delighted with all of the options of schmear. Furthermore, the choices and bagels including the tie-dye bagel were enough for me to take a picture for my food connoisseur friend in Las Vegas. I had to make her jealous! I opted for the Lox and schmear with red onion, no tomato because the texture kind of grosses me out. I forgot to ask for capers which would have set the entire sandwich to a level of perfection only my four cow stomachs would appreciate. The Bagel was exactly what I expected, BLISS. The schmear was fresh and creamy, it was oozing out of the side in abundance. The Lox were also fresh; a heavy helping was piled on my bagel. You have an option for a small side salad which is a tiny cup with your choice. I opted for the macaroni salad which was not too mayonnaise or mustard ingredient overwhelming. It was a clean palatable salad I enjoyed. The pickle tastes homemade, it was clean and crisp not the most favorable I've ever had but I will eat it again for sure :-) What I liked best about Seaford Bagels is the layout of the restaurant/deli. You can go in to order your bagels (I would call ahead), and on the side counters you have plenty of coffee options. From flavored coffee to coffee the temperature of the sun, Seaford Bagels has it. That is to be expected of a bagel spot, but what I didn't expect was a convenience store style refrigerator with milk, juices, and other options for purchase. I was dying for orange juice and I certainly didn't want a child-size cup of it. I grabbed my large orange juice and was pleased it wasn't overpriced for the convenience. Altogether the price to feed the entire crew was very reasonable! For me, the bagel was filling enough to eat half now and half later. I can't say the staff was overly friendly, they were "New York" friendly and I wasn't a local. However, it seems they knew everybody and was very friendly to those who frequented the establishment. New York friendly is basically too busy to smile. #realtalk I look forward to coming back and drooling over all of the schmear I would love to try. I was told by my long time Long Islander pop - On the weekends I should call ahead for my order because the wait in line is about an hour long. I believe it. REASONS TO VISIT: 1. Parking 2. Food is great however one of the workers that answers the phones is extremely rude. I want to place an order of one sandwich and with an attitude she told me she's not taking orders because there's not enough people working right now and she has a line. This is probably the best bagel place in the Massapequa-Wantagh-Seaford area, but the reason this isn't a 5-star review is because they are getting very expensive. It seems every time we go in, the price goes up a dime. Bagels are now $1.20, and if you want a rainbow bagel? $2.40. Yes, $2.40 for a rainbow bagel. A bagel with no seeds and no flavor, but sadly, my toddler is obsessed with it. Most other places have no surcharge for a rainbow bagel, but Seaford thinks it's worth double the price for the food coloring. Sad to say, but I have been going to Seaford Bagel so as long as I remember and lately they have really been disappointing me. Twice my boyfriend has pick up and bagels/ sandwiches and the orders have been incorrect when we open them at home. Most recently, I went with my mom to grab breakfast and we ate in and our sandwiches were horrible. They both incorrect (no cheese and only one egg, instead of two). I don't know what has happened but hopefully they step up their game. Until then I will take my business elsewhere. :( read more
