If I could give this Panera location 0 stars I would. We have been traveling through this area for years & have always stopped here. This place has gotten progressively worse each time Today was my final visit. The bathrooms & dining area were filthy. No napkins in the dining area & no TP in the ladies bathroom. This location is always busy & they don't seem to have enough staff for the customer demand. The staff that was there moved like zombies. As a first-timer to this Panera location, my expectations were already set. The staff was very friendly, particularly considering we showed up at about 8:15pm and they were closing up shortly. I always come here and usually have a good experience. However today I went and had a horrible experience. I was rung up by someone named mercy and she was extremely rude. In the middle of my order she began having a conversation with another employee and didn't even apologize. I restarted my order and she rolled her eyes and checked her phone!!! Absolutely not acceptable for customer service. On the other hand I was served by Anton and he is always a pleasure; such a nice man. I've only been to panera twice and I hated it until one day I went with my boys after cross country practice and got served a chipotle avocado melt and black bean soup by a girl named Nala. She had a nice smile, a great personality and gave me extra chipotle sauce. I don't know when she's working but know I will be back only if I get served by her again read more

I really want to liked this place but the service is terrible and i feel i have to wait so long for food even when i am doing take out. To be honest the food is just being heated up and put into containers so it should not take long. There may be an issue with limited staff especially at night. read more

This particular location of Panera has horrendous management!!! They are habitually out of the things I go there for, and the employees look like they just want to collect a paycheck and get the hell out of there. The one I had last time was complaining (right in front of me) that she wanted to go on her break and no one was listening to her. Shouldn't that be discussed AFTER customers leave the counter?? No one in this place cares about anything and I can only assume it is bad management that is causing such lack of employee morale. With the prices they charge, I expect better service!! read more

Like this location but I wish there was an outside seating area for during the summer. Other than that, my panini never disappoints and the service is quick. Parking is easy and the location is convenient. It is very busy during lunch, so you may need to take an extended lunch. The line does get pretty long, so make sure to get there early! read more

Walked into this place now on to separate occasions where the restaurant wasn't particularly busy but the order line was 5 deep and only one slow order taker. Waited 5 min and only one order taken. Irritated so walked around the corner to Starbucks and although busier order taken right away. Panera team should walk around the corner and take a lesson. read more

I have been ordering from this Panera for a few months to supply food for a monthly meeting. Everything is always ready on time, exactly as I ordered it, packaged nicely and all the staff are wonderful. The meeting attendees have also commented on how great the food is! Idk if there has been a change in management this past year, but omg this place is going downhill. They always run out of food, utensils, etc. what is it? The head manager too cheap to provide all of this? I used to come to this location often until I realized it's just been getting worse. And I'm also a very observant person, I notice the way these managers treat their employees. Treating them like crap and standing around not helping when it's busy... My family and I come here all the time and they are consistently out of major food items. Tonight's it's steak and pulled chicken. If it was a one time thing, I wouldn't mind...but it's just about every week. I'm hoping reviews are seen by corporate so they can make changes on how to order more food to accommodate. Ate at this restaurant last night and it was terrible. When taking our order we were told that they ran out of bread. I ordered the take 2 and the sandwich came out as 2 pieces of bread with barely anything in between them. The avocado was non existent. Within an hour of eating I got sick from the food. They need to train the staff better when taking order for people. The guy at the cash register didn't ask me if I wanted sandwich or panini and chose sandwich for me. And he didn't ask me what side that I wanted and picked something else for me. The bathroom only has two stalls. I had a great experience here. I stopped here on a road trip down 84. All I got was a few bagels, but the order was complicated (this one toasted, that one untouched, the other one with this cream cheese, etc...) and I received exactly what I meant. The lady taking my order was courteous and patient with me as I decided what to order...and I thank her for that. Waited an unnecessary amount of time for our lunch - a simple order of two soups and a salad, less a bagel which apparently at this location they give to you right at the register? Never had this at any other panera location before. So of course by the time we got our meals the toasted bagel was cold and over toasted anyway so hardly worth eating despite what they charge for it. Because it was taking them so long (this place was not busy at 11am on a Saturday - I've seen paneras with lines out the door with service speed on par with this one) we went up to the counter to inquire about our order and it was then handed to us. I realized my ancient grains salad did not have any chicken in it so this time I went up to the counter to ask for some. I said "isn't this supposed to come with chicken? The ancient grains salad?" and she simply walked away and returned with a handful of chicken clenched in her fist, dropped it in my bowl and said, "sorry about that." I got back to the table and realized the salad also had no dressing.. But didn't bother to go up again. Rather, ate quickly and got out of there. Horrible service and since there is no option to leave a review online on the receipt like most chains have, I'm here leaving a yelp review. Hopefully management does something with this specific location. As an out of state traveler having to deal with hours of driving and traffic, I was looking forward to a good lunch and was very disappointed. read more

First time I order from this place and it sure will be my last. I've been a Panera guest of the Poughkeepsie location for years now and always loved the friendliness of the staff and the value of their food and how clean it always is. I have always ordered online ordered through a quick call and never had a problem; to the Poughkeepsie location that is. For the very first time, I called the Fishkill location, and told them that I had a panera card that I would like to use and apply through the phone, which I've done before and the girl on the phone said it wasn't doable, which was fine. Once my mom arrived with my order, all she kept going on about was the lack of service at the place, not only were they rude but the food looked as if it was made with scraps of leftover! My BBQ chicken flatbread, which I've ordered before, had full and shredded pieces of chicken in it with barely any other ingredients inside. Not to mention the steak and cheddar sandwich came with a horrible type of bread that wasn't the right one for the meal which also happened to come with the wrong ingredients. I ordered from the fishkill location for convenience, but I rather go out of my way and go to the Poughkeepsie location if that means better service and valuable food. read more

Typical Panera, but this one is a little more... up scale? They bring your food to you and the atmosphere is very cozy. I personally don't care for table service unless it's all out since I, personally, feel I need to leave a tip and don't always have cash. read more

I really like Panera, in general. The food never disappoints. (I had a really great soup and salad tonight, followed by tea with a chocolate croissant.) I worked in the back on my laptop with free wifi. Nice music. It's always calm, even when it's busy. Love it. Very out of character for most Panera Breads I have been to. The girl who took our order was rude. My husband ordered an ice tea (I heard him say "I'll have an ice tea also") When he asked for his cup for the tea she informed him in a snotty way that he didn't order an ice tea. He told her he did and her reply was a curt "No You didn't". So he said asked if he could order an ice tea. she didn't reply but silently took his money. I work in a similar job and my reply would have been something like "Oh I am sorry I didn't hear you order it, but I will ring it up now for you. The other girl taking orders was obviously ticked off about something. It was dirty and unorganized. The only positive thing was the girl taking people their food.
