Asian chicken salad
Brian M.

I was visiting relatives in Virginia Beach for a relatives birthday and stopped by about an hour before close for a quick dinner. I use to love Panera Bread although now it's just ok. Don't get me wrong, everyone was very nice, helpful, the food was good for what it is. I think the issue is that I used to going to a regular restaurant where food is fresh, sometimes farm to table, and prepared individually. It's hard to compare Panera to those types of restaurants. What I would recommend that they change some of their fixtures, the chairs and the garbage station looked very worn. We had the grilled signature chicken sandwich, the Mexican corn soup, a favorite which is the Asian sesame chicken salad. It was quick and worked for me. Prices are fair and I have nothing bad to say. There was an older woman who took great pride in her job which was cleaning. I wanted to give her props and hope their manager read this. I would recommend them for a good, quick meal.

Green goddess cobb

Dined in with my daughter this past Saturday evening. One Cobb salad, 1/2 turkey sandwich, fruit cup and milk - $30 later my little one and I were still hungry. I cannot even comprehend that half of a turkey sandwich was over $8. Even with inflation, I can get a half pound of deli turkey at the grocery store for $5. My salad was missing avocado. The sandwich didn't even include cheese. Half of the grapes in the fruit cup were mush. And the staff ALL looked like they'd rather be anywhere else while blasting profane hip hop/rap music from the prep station. If I weren't trying to do something fun - like dine out with my daughter - I'd have gone straight home. Never. Never. Again.

Order pick 2 and my chicken avocado melt had absolutely no avocado way too much sauce that just ruined the sandwich! Never had issues with a Panera, huge disappointment! Feel like I was ripped off!

Chicken Caesar with extra chicken at Panera

I like tablets or kiosks for ordering food. The lack of needing to explain things to people makes my life so much easier! And that's what I did here today at Panera. Push the right buttons for my Chicken Caesar Salad with extra chicken, pay, take a pager, find a seat, wait. Super simple, super easy! My salad arrived within five minutes, exactly as requested. (I forgot to have them hold the croutons.) Delicious, filling and completely within the lines of my keto diet. Awesome! The restaurant does get super busy during lunch time but I did find a good seat. Tables were clean, trash cans were not full and the condiments/drink area was tidy. I'm a fan! Not many patrons on Fri night despite a jam packed parking lot oriented like a moat. Place has changed significantly since my last visit including a rebranded facelift and process flow improvements like Order kiosks, digital signage, and to go racks. New logos escorted in refreshed white analog menus signs and wall decor. Son opted to utilize the employee behind the counter to order his Mac n cheese kids meal. She was patient, kind and efficient. Redeemed a school issued certificate making the visit's grand total $0. Food wait was minimal, practically ready after he filled his cup with a fountain drink. Drink station was a bit messy but forgivable. Order was made correctly with perfectly announced pronunciation of his (our) name, a rarity indeed. My wife and I didn't order anything. To us, Panera was once a very good soup/sand/salad shop at value prices in a WiFi rich chain "restaurant" environment; over the years, prices increased while portions and quality decreased. It's 3-3.5 star quality that's quick and convenient; a notch above Wawa for sure. All in all, our son enjoyed his hot, creamy Mac and French baguette. We delighted in seeing his smile.

We ordered catering No a bad sandwich bread was little hard but good flavor, one thing they need to put in the box more than one napkin...

This is not my "home" Panera as it's a bit further, but this is the one a bunch of friends and I meet once a month. We prefer their layout as it's open but with nooks to separate your group from the others. When we come here, we usually order on our phone and pick up at the window. It's always so fast to order, and it takes 10 minutes for your food to be ready for pickup. One thing we noticed, was that if you order on your phone and want to order certain items, it will tell you they are "out" of it but in fact they were not. We saw it in plain view. I ordered the 4 cheese flatbread pizza and it was delicious. Their bloody orange lemonade was also very tasty! The manager giving out food at the window was super helpful as well. I do love this location.

Toasted Steak and White Cheddar Sandwich

I'll start by saying my Broccoli and Cheddar Soup was perfect and delicious. However, my sandwich was not good at all. It had about half (maybe less) of the amount of ingredients it used to have. Additionally, it was very dry and hard to chew. I was very disappointed! I know it's a rough time for everyone, but this isn't a lack of workers - this is a bad job! Nothing about this was worth $10.

Chicken & Pepperoni Melt.

This should be called the skimpy chicken and pepperoni melt. Very little to none chicken and pepperoni, especially for the price. The food was delicious but for the price, I expect to get what I payed for. It was just a baguette with a smear of cheese, chicken and pepperoni. The Mac $ cheese was nice and hot with lots of flavor. The green tea was just right!

Fresh Baked Breads yum

Had a late lunch with the kids at the Greenbrier Panera in Crossways Shopping Center. It was clean, and the associates were very friendly. It was around 3p and they were already out of certain bread options, so went with a different option, which was good as far as flavor and freshness. We ordered 2 bread bowls of the cheddar and broccoli soup. A flatbread pepperoni pizza and a pick 2 tuna sandwich and another bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. We had 3 regular sized drinks, which scored us half off on bakery treats, so we added a chocolate chip cookie and 2 brownies. The food was great in flavors, but I didn't feel there was much difference between a bowl of soup vs the cup of soup as far as portions. The flatbread pizza was a hit with the kids. The desserts were fresh and yummy. The restaurant was clean and had a decent amount of patrons within it. I was a little shell shocked by the cost 56 was steep for what we had and the small portions to boot. All in all we enjoyed our lunch, but for soup and a sandwich, with half price cookies/brownies costs, I don't think we will be returning any time soon. For another twenty we could have had bigger plates of seafood!

Wax paper

Usually dont have a problem with panera but lately they have been sloppy messing up my order. Todays episode of messing up my order, they left in my sandwich the wax paper like from what you see what separates the cheese slices.

What stood out to me wasn't the wait it was the exceptional customer service. A gentleman (I'm not sure if he was the manager or owner) kept apologizing for the wait and even offered me a free cookie for the inconvenience. I politely declined since I'm not much of a sweets person, but the gesture itself meant so much. I've always chosen Jason's Deli because the food is consistently great and the customer service has always been excellent, but today they went above and beyond. It's rare to see someone so genuinely focused on putting customers first, and I wanted to make sure that effort didn't go unnoticed. To the gentleman at Jason's Deli hats off to you. Chesapeake's…read morelittle town center area has really stepped their game up and there are several good options for food and this is one of them. Parking is plentiful as it's in a strip mall, and we were able to self seat a party of 7 with no problem at all on a Saturday evening. The service was doing their best, but they definitely could use one or two more employees because the person making all the desserts (and there was a line JUST for take out dessert orders- because it's that good) was also the same one that needed to take our orders before we could sit down. I felt bad for her because she was working really hard on two very busy stations. The ambience is super casual so no need to dress up. So now lests get to the star of the show. This is the best chicken sandwich out and I'll put it up against anyone I've had anywhere. Well seasoned, tender, perfectly fried. The buns were potato bread so super soft, the sauces are fantastic and the variety of sandwiches is just enough to have a good amount of options. The fries are also delicious. À la carte so they are sold separately, but the portion makes it worth it because THEY ARE NOT STINGY! Flavor packed and great value for the cost. Last but not least the homemade custard is TOP TIER. Best I've had since i left Jersey back in the day. This place just took the top spot for chicken sandwiches for me and i can't eat to try more flavors.

I love the selection of sauces, they really make the meal! The only negative thing about this restaurant is every time my husband gets a sandwich that comes out piping hot and my chicken tenders come out barely lukewarm. So much so we've once asked for replacements, which the staff was so great and accommodating. Very chill vibe, clean tables, and they're always playing great music. We always dine in when we stop by. The custard is also great! Love the sauces, love the sandwiches!
