This review is for takeout and appetizers only! My order was ready when I arrived and they made sure I had all the sauces/utensils I needed. I got the shrimp shumai. These were hot and fried. They were pretty good. I got the musubi trio which came with one bbq pork, spam and crispy chicken. Those were pretty bland. Not enough meat and rice proportions were off (way more rice than needed). I wasn't too impressed with their appetizers. Maybe the entrees would have been better?

Always order to go food because the food is pretty good. Ordered spam fried rice and BBQ beef. Friendly service and you can order on the two kiosks upon entry or at the counter if preferred. Island aesthetic vibes with the decor and music and very clean. Love that they have signs on the table letting you know if it's been sanitized.

I was craving a poke bowl and came across Alohahola off Battlefield Blvd in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake. The parking lot was easy to get into. I ordered at the tablet and took a seat. The inside is fairly small and the tables are close together so I would probably take my next order to go. The employees were friendly and answered any questions I had. I was impressed with how fresh everything in my poke bowl tasted from the cucumbers to the salmon. I feel like Alohahola has a lot more options when it comes to toppings and sauces which I appreciate. I might even say it was the best poke bowl I've tried in VA. I also ordered a side of macaroni salad it was average. I would be interested to try some of their other dishes like spam masubi and teriyaki chicken. I will definitely be back!

I happened upon this restaurant when I visited Joyu, which is next door. They have a variety of Hawaiian cuisine including poke. I decided to try their black pepper Hawaii barbecue chicken dish. It came with macaroni salad, rice, and grilled veggies (onions and peppers). I loved the flavor of the chicken and veggies. I didn't eat the Mac salad. I will definitely go back and possibly try something else. But that chicken is delicious!! And they give you such large portions, I had enough for lunch the next day. They have several tables for aging. The staff member was nice and helpful.

I know it's probably best to separate these reviews but I had to combine them because these are literally two of my favorite spots and now they're side by side and connected! I was so happy when I found out. Living in Chesapeake and working in Virginia Beach this makes it so much more convenient to grab both in one trip. The coconut chicken used to be my go-to back in the day but lately I've been getting the coconut shrimp and it's still just as amazing. So flavorful and always hits the spot. As for Joyyu my favorite drink is the Avocado Joyyu. There's just something about the condensed milk and avocado combo that I absolutely love lol. It's smooth, sweet and super satisfying every time. My only complaint about Joyyu is the oven they have on the counter near the front of the store it's loud! Every time it finishes cooking it's so noisy it has my ears ringing. Other than that I'm always happy to stop by.

Met some friends for lunch. The staff was accommodating while two of us waited for the third friend. Ordering was so easy and the staff helped with any questions we had. Great selection but limited for vegetarian options. We all had poke bowls and they were all delicious. Mine was very filling and I liked that I didn't have to have rice as a base. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The restaurant itself is small but very clean and bright. Staff is attentive to cleaning the tables quickly. There was a steady flow of lunch customers. I would give 4.5 stars if I could - 4 because limited vegetarian options I can't wait to go back again.

The Garlic Shrimp was good it does have the Shell and feet on, the rice could be a little sticker for ture rice from Hawaii. Over there we call it sticky. The Hawaii BBQ Beef, was amazing. The Beef was very tender. The Mac Salad was great. We enjoyed our dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back. We lived in Hawaii for 3 years. And been back many times. Always looking for good Hawaiian food. It was great to see the place had a great traffic flow. A lot of people coming in to order. They should do well. Aloha and Mahalo

Getting to this location is a nightmare. Traffic is insane. Luckily? The food is well worth the hassle. Service is slow. There is very limited seating. It's pretty clear that this location caters more towards take out. I removed star for it because it shouldn't take so long for an order to be prepared. Again, I'm willing to cut some slack for this because the food is outstanding and the portions are generous. We got a poke bowl, teriyaki chicken, and spam musubi (forgot to take a photo). The poke bowl was massive. Everything in it was fresh and delicious. The teriyaki chicken also came in a generous size. We were only able to eat half our food and took the rest to go. So much tasty food! Already planning what we will order next. Highly recommend, just mentally prepare yourself for the traffic and perhaps order your food ahead so the wait isn't so long.

Surprisingly really good! Impressed with the quality of the food, the modern and clean look, the huge portions, and high-quality to go containers. Service was super quick and friendly. Will definitely be back. Loved the Philly egg rolls and all the sauces.

First time trying this place and I'm pleasantly surprised. Went with a classic and ordered the Hawaiian bbq mix. The food was flavored very well. The fried rice and macaroni were also delicious. The service was great and the place was very clean and inviting.

We ordered Alohahola on Uber eats. It's great to see more Hawaiian food options in the Hampton Roads area. The order arrived on time and was packed very neatly which I appreciate the attention to detail. They pack to go orders in a reusable bag, which is also a nice touch. The food was excellent overall. My favorite food items are the Crispy Spam Musubi - it is a must try. Their macaroni salad was surprisingly very good, I never get excited for macaroni salad, so I was impressed. Crab Rangoons were a good appetizer. Their Hawaiian Curry Katsu is another one of my favorites. There is a 50 cent option to add spicy to your dish, I also do not recommend this option. I love spicy, but the red spicy sauce was too much for me, or if you do add it, have it on the side instead of poured on top of your food. With their meals I personally prefer their white rice over their fried rice. I also tried their grill spam fried rice, it's a popular dish, I was disappointed because the picture online looked much fresher than what we were served. There were no peas or eggs in the fried rice. Which in the picture online looks like it comes with. It was like they took their plain fried rice and added grilled spam, pineapple and green onions afterwards. It did not taste cohesive to me. Another item I would not get again is their shrimp shumai, I personally like it steamed instead of fried and this did not seem to be an option here. Hawaii beef mix was okay, the beef was a little tough for me. Overall it was a good experience and I will be trying more of their dishes.

It's one of the only dishes that seems "healthy" to me there. I have ordered other platters but they seem super artery clogging. Their Dole whip is the best no doubt. Here's the down side though... they're sometimes slow and sometimes out of things. They definitely seem to run on "island time" so it's authentic on that end. But I wish it was a little more consistent. Sometimes the garlic shrimp dish is also inconsistent... out of the salad, or the dressing, or the rice. And it's sometimes different based on who's cooking. Sometimes they serve it with their macaroni salad, sometimes not. (Btw the macaroni salad is amazing!) If they were more consistent and a little faster, I'd be there more often. I'm not a fan of musubi. Once I found a hair in mine from here and it really turned me off so that I can't order them anymore from there. Not a huge loss since as mentioned, I don't enjoy musubi anyways. I do love a few dishes though.

When we arrived, the wait was almost an hour and we contemplated leaving but thankfully, there were two, open seats at the bar, so my daughter and I decided to grab those seats and dine in. The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go. If I'm ever in the area, I would probably return in hopes for a better dining experience.

We took the most undercooked parts of the egg off and then dug in. The second disappointment for us was that the rice tasted and felt like it had been sitting uncovered all day. Granted, it was around 8:30 when we ordered but I still expect to get fresh ingredients. The burger patties were not very well seasoned but were overall decent. The macaroni salad was really good and wish I had double portions of it. The coleslaw was good, creamy with a little bit of sweetness.
