I believed the online hype about the St. Louis-style rice, so I decided to give this place a try. It's located in a shopping strip next to a barbershop and a salon. I ordered the St. Louis rice combo with an egg roll, Kung Pao chicken, and chicken wings. Appetizers: The egg roll was okay -- I'd give it a 3/5. The chicken wings were also just okay and a little greasy -- 3/5. Kung Pao Chicken: It was spicy, but very bland overall. I'm used to a darker, richer sauce, but this one was very light and didn't have much flavor -- 1/5. They do give you a generous portion, though. St. Louis-Style Rice: It came out hot and included bean sprouts, which a lot of places don't do anymore, so I appreciated that. The rice was dark, but even with steak, chicken, and shrimp, it still lacked flavor -- 2/5. The prices are good, service is fast, and there's plenty of space if you want to dine in. As a St. Louis native, I had to try this spot's STL-style fried rice, and it definitely scratched that itch! It's a charming "hole-in-the-wall" place that reminded me of home, and it was noticeably clean. I'll definitely be back for more. What I Loved First off, the fried rice had that perfect dark hue it's supposed to have, and I was thrilled that peas and carrots were excluded. The portion size was incredibly generous - you get a lot for your money. I also really appreciated that the lady who helped me was upfront about them not having red pepper packets or sweet and sour sauce. Room for Improvement While I enjoyed my meal, there are a few things to note. The STL-style fried rice isn't actually on the main menu; you have to know they make it and ask for it, which seems a bit odd and makes me wonder why they don't advertise it more. And though I appreciated the heads-up about the missing condiments, they really need to stock red pepper packets and sweet and sour sauce. Duck sauce is a decent substitute, but red pepper is a must for this kind of dish. My rice also lacked bean sprouts and green onions, which was a disappointment. I'd recommend skipping their crab rangoon and homemade sweet and sour sauce; neither was very good. Finally, I ordered two large chicken fried rice orders and asked for no eggs in one, but both orders came without eggs, even though only one was marked "no eggs." Their double sautéed pork is really good as well and I also love their human beef. It is truly a hidden gem. Had not been here in a few years, looks like they closed up the "in restaurant" dining. I had the double Cooked pork and pork fried rice as takeout items. I had to wait a little bit before doing this review because the first order I made via Uber eats I wasn't thrilled with the beef and broccoli, but I really did like the shrimp fried rice. The other reviews saying it was very good were totally on point. They give you lots of shrimp. The rice is cooked that wok style with that wok smoke flavor. You know that flavor that you only get if you fry rice in a wok versus trying to make it otherwise. The rice has carrots and peas and they taste fresh instead of mushy. I simply love the fried rice. Now the beef and broccoli on the other hand was a little fatty and curly. I know that sounds totally weird and it looked totally weird, so I just didn't eat it. Plus the sauce with the beef and broccoli while it had a decent taste was a little gelatinous for me and I chose to pass on this particular meal. The egg drop soup is very good. It has a lot more egg than I'm used to, but the taste is very good. I did not like the eggroll. It wasn't crispy enough and the taste inside was a little strange. So I ordered a second time because I really hadn't had lo mein in many years since I've been on a diet that usually didn't include carbs. I am so glad that I tried it because the pictures were a little deceiving. The noodle in the pictures looks more like it's a spaghetti noodle instead of the proper lo mein noodle, but I would say that this is something they changed or it just doesn't look like it in the picture but The lo mein is also on point. I had the vegetarian lo mein. It was cooked perfectly. I loved coordinating the taste of the lo menu with the fried rice which used to be my go to thing back when I always ate Chinese food. So I will definitely be ordering from panda delight again. I just will be more thoughtful in terms of what I like here at this restaurant. For me, my dishes will probably stay with shrimp fried rice and the vegetable lo mein. read more

well I want to start by saying they have some of the best rice that I've ever tasted while living here in DFW Texas area and I moved here when I was a kid.. As someone who grew up eating some of the best rice in St Louis, Their ST Louis style rice comes really close and it's really good..They also have some delicious egg foo young in which alot of the other Chinese places here in Texas don't sell.. I give them all the credit for good food but one thing I will say is the lady at the front needs to get it together lol...I wish I had gotten her name but she is the one always working the front Everytime I go there. She needs to learn better customer service.. Every time I go I remain calm and try to look over the way she speaks thinking maybe it's a culture thing but she really needs to be more polite to the customers..I didn't write this review to bash the restaurant but so hopefully she will see this and make changes...I really like this place and would hate to stop eating there because of her..She has a very dry attitude.. read more

OMG! I have not had Gen Tzo Chicken this good in 30 years! The combo lo mein was great too! Got the upgrade on the dinner with chicken wing and egg roll & the egg drop soup was really delicious! We had to get "to go" boxes because there was so much food & we got our son the chicken fried rice "to go" for him & he said it was great! The only problem with this place is that it's too far from our house. I bet they do a ton of take out and Uber Eats!
